I found H&S to help with the itchy scalp and dandruff, but the conditioner is too heavy. Can still notice its in my hair after drying and styling due to its heaviness. I have to alternate this with other brands, as using it too much causes a build up in my hair.

I have thick long hair that tends to be oily on my scalp and dry at the ends. I will use head and shoulders once a week to give my hair a good clean (i alternate between H&S and my regular shampoo and conditoner) i use to use selsun blue for dandruff but i hated the smell, H&S is much more pleasent and clears dandruff well.
It does tend to leave my hair quite dry though so i either use my regular conditioner after using H&S shampoo or i use a but of hair oil after washing my hair.
Over all i am happy with this product, it is a bit pricey but the big bottles are great!
Tips: If you colour you hair at home and it is too dark, do a quick H&S shampoo straight after , it will lighten it a shade or two.
I love it! Gets rid of dandruff with regular use, hair smells great for hours and my hair is A LOT more easier to brush especially when the shampoo is teamed up with the smooth and silky conditioner. The only complaint I have is that it's kind of expensive but I don't mind paying more because it really does the job.
Tips: Wash hair every 2-3 so that the scalp/hair has time to release it's natural oils. When you do shampoo, shampoo twice and massage scalp especially when you have dandruff. Use the conditioner for extra smoothness.
I brought this after seeing this in the supermarket, hoping it would help relieve my dry, irritated scalp.
The packaging is a classic, rather old school look with its blue and white basic container. Everyone knows and has heard of this brand, so I was hoping it would be effective. I was a little put off initially with the combination of shampoo and conditioner, but thought I would give it a go!
The consistency of the product is creamy and lathered up well. It seemed to clean my hair well and felt smooth after blow drying. I found my blonde highlights looked really dull after using this and my hair also lacked moisture.
However, the reason why I got this was to try to relieve my dry, flakey scalp and I had no improvement after using this.
Overall, rather disappointing and would not repurchase.
Tips: I have found a great shampoo called Aveda Scalp balancing shampoo and conditioner which has worked wonders for my scalp. These products are so much more effective than head and shoulders.
This was an average product. Sure my hair felt really clean after and it smelt really great but after using it for about 2 weeks, i felt it made no difference in the smoothness of my hair and it also didn't get rid of any dandruff
My mother used eyer H & S shampoo and conditioner out there on us kids since I can remember. This one would be one of my favorites!
It comes out very creamy and lathers up nicely, you only need a pea size due to that. Which makes it very economical.
The scent to me is very fresh and almost abit floral but that is just me. This always made me feel really fresh and clean, also my hair got really smooth.
Sometimes a little too smooth that it weighed my hair down. mind you tho, this really worked if I straightened my hair and wanted the sleek look.
When it comes to the dandruff part of it I must say H & S have some more powerful shampoos and conditioners for that problem. I would say that this one is one the weaker side of the scale and focuses more on taming that frizzy hair.
I've had problems with dandruff on and off for a few years now so I've given this, along with other Head & Shoulders shampoo & conditioners a go a few times over the years with weak results. I personally didn't find this to help my scalp much at all but it definitely does get rid if grease and gives your hair a good clean. After a few weeks use I found my hair started to feel a bit dry and my colour extremely faded so I now stick to coconut oil but I do often have a bottle of Head & Shoulders on hand for a different reason...
Dye stripper! When I want to get as much dye from my hair as possible I will wash with this for a week.
Tips: Use to remove hair dye from your tresses
First Impressions: Simple, recognisable branding with a little bit of a feminine touch.
Product: I used this for about 3 weeks when my scalp was a living nightmare (dandruff) and I have to be honest - It actually made it worse. I found my head started to itch during application and for at least an hour after. I can't say I noticed any improvement in reducing my flakey-ness either. I ended up at the chemist buying a proper medicated shampoo (which worked wonders) and tossed the remainder of this in the bin. Overall this just dried my already dry and frizzy hair out, didn't fix the dandruff problem and made me itchy. Unimpressed.
Tips: Honestly, don't bother... Especially if you have a sensitive scalp.
i start using this when i start to get a bit of dandruff ,you don't have to use a lot and it lathers well . it also doesn't smell to strong so that's a plus. over all it does a good job , only needing a few washes and then my dandruff's gone .
I enjoy using this shampoo as it calms my itchyness down and removed my dandruff straight away. I use this product all the time. Its the only one that doesnt hurt my scalp. And it smells great
Tips: Perfect for itchyness and dandruff
