MAC Pro Longwear Foundation Review

This would have to be my favourite mac foundation by a long shot. I find this one has a good medium to full coverage, however it does not feel cakey and thick like other mac foundations such as studio sculpt. I don't however find the staying power is as amazing as it states, being a 'pro longer' foundation. I find after a few hours, it starts to sink into my pores, and come off around my nose and forehead area. I do love the coverage, and feel of this foundation, and it would have to be one of my favourite foundations.

The packaging is great with the pump you only need a small amount (I use 1.5 pumps) to do your whole face. I've never had a problem with my skin breaking out with this product which I have with others in the past. Head down to you nearest MAC store or counter and get them to match you colour, you won't regret it, definitely worth the money.

I found this really hit and miss. The coverage was awesome, and staying power was pretty good, but as someone with excessively oily skin it did slip and slide a bit, and seperated a bit.

I think I have just found my holy grail foundation. I have 4 different MAC foundations and the pro longwear is definitely my favourite. I wish I had bought a back up!!!

My skin is changing dramatically. It even looks like it's losing it's elasticity which is ultimately making me look like I need a face lift. I'm only 23!! It is shocking.

The packaging is simple but nice. It comes in a glass bottle with a black lockable lid which I think is awesome. It means it will not spill. I think all foundation pumps should have this

I have the shade nw20 and it is the best shade for me. It matches me perfectly! On the days where I only want a little bit of coverage (mostly if I'm just running errands) I can do one pump and it will do my entire face.

The coverage is buildable. For a light coverage I use 1 pump, for medium coverage I'll use and extra 1/2 - 1 pump and gradually build it up and it wont make you look cakey.

I love how this foundation evens out my skintone making it look healthier. It even erases any redness, and covers blemishes really well all while letting your skin breathe and allowing it to have that 'skin' like finish.

I have noticed that if I use a dewy primer that I get a bit oily on my t zone so I prefer to either use a matte primer or set the foundation with my pro longwear powder.

This foundation is life!!

I love this, I dont know what took me so long to try it. It feels light on the skin, gives amazing coverage, last all day (working day 8 hours), Gives such a natural finish, doesn't oxidize, I just love it. I buy all my m.a.c of the us website and I feel like it is worth the price and will defenitly repurchase

While this is not my favourite foundation, it rates right up there. The colour match is almost perfect, and when used with a primer, it has great staying power. it combats my oily t-zone well, while it does not cling to my dry patches. It blends well with a flat top brush, and soaks into my pore as opposed to sitting on the surface of the skin. Good buildable coverage.Definitely worth trying.

After running out of my MAC studio fix I felt like i had to get it again so I went into a mac store but they did not have my colour in the studio fix and I couldn't wait for it to come in again so I decided to the Pro long wear. I really regret doing that as I feel like Its not full coverage so Im applying a lot more product than need be, but could be a could product if full coverage is not needed for your skin type but for me personally would not be buying again

MAC has done another great job with the Pro Longwear Foundation.

We all know how big MAC has a variety of colours to suite all skin tones so I was very happy when I found a colour that suited me perfectly down to every last detail. It has a creamy formula that is easily applied with any and every technique, I use a stipple brush and then come in with my beauty blender for under my eyes etc and i leave the house happy with my application every day.

It has a great coverage, I was told that it was full coverage but on my skin it is not perfectly covered but that's okay as it hides all my major flaws and the most dreaded parts. This lasts all day and I have had no need for touch ups while wearing this product which I enjoy as i do not like having to touch up during a busy day. Something I loved about this was that I didn't break out, sometimes going to a new foundation especially one that has quite a full coverage, I found I broke out but with this I didn't so very happy about that.

Packaging was the normal MAC bottles in the 30ml size, yes it is quite costly but when you are getting a great product that lasts, who cares, it is worth a try.

Overall great product, highly recommend and would buy myself again.

The only foundation that I bought more than 3x and finished the whole bottle to its last bit! That's how much I loved this foundation! It worked in my acne- prone skin, and lasted in my face for a good 14 hour without touch ups. The coverage can go from medium up to full and the longevity is amazing especially me with the oiliest skin possible. It also said that it is non- transferrable which I agree. I would try blot my face with a tissue and there is close to no transfer at all. Ofcourse it is not 100% non- transferrable, I would say 95%! It also does not feel heavy or look thick in my face through out the day. Another thing I like is how spot on the color match is!

It works well, says what it says it will do and will stay on with the right primer. But I always felt like I could never get the exact shade I needed no matter what I did. I also felt like it wasn't that light weight and it didn't blend well. I'm onto the DW now.
