After bad experiences with MAC foundation for my school balls a few years ago (I looked orange) I was very skeptical about buying a MAC foundation, but with all the hype I had to give it another go. When I got home I was worried because the formula still looked quite orange, but when I applied, blended and set my foundation it looked FLAWLESS! I love this foundation and it is definitely long-wearing.

Tips: Make sure you're satisfied with your colour match, don't be afraid to get a tester and take it home and wear it for a whole day.
On the advice of my friends, I purchased Pro Longwear. I have very oily skin, and had hoped this would be the answers to my prayers, but unfortunately I was let down. I find that it wears off my face within four-six hours, not the fifteen that is advertised. I've tried primed, unprimed, with and without moisturizer, I have tried everything but to no avail. I am slightly disappointed due to the price tag of the foundation, and will definitely have to reconsider whether or not I will repurchase it.
This stuff is my to die for! I love this stuff! I was using SPF Mac foundation then i was gifted this one by my mother!
I like this better because it has the squirt lid! (although the SPF one may come like this too) . It truely gives me a flawless look and i couldnt be more happier with it. With me it lasts for ages, i wore it out the other night and slept in my makeup and woke up and still looked good!
I covers all my imperfections and it matches me perfectly! I follow this with a MAC bronzing powder and gives a great full coverage that doesnt leave me looking cakey or orange!!
Overall i cannot say one bad thing about this and im quite critical! even though it is on the pricey side, i would definitely splurge out! Plus it doesn't run out fast!
After a horrible experience where the MUA at MAC mismatched me for studio fix (after spending the best part of $70 to find I look orange) I reluctantly went back to get re-done. This time I came away with a new shade which suited me much better and a pro-longwear foundation because the memories of studio fix were a bit too close for comfort. Since then I fell in love - it glides on nicely, isn't too thick and my flatmates couldn't even tell I was wearing foundation (this is the point, right?). However I have since learned that MAC has discontinued my shade NW13 in the pro-longwear so once this runs out it looks like I'll be going back to studio fix (eek!).
Tips: Find the right brush that works for your face. You don't need to used a heap of the stuff for a decent coverage but it is build able. If your MAC shade is NW13 - don't even bother.
I was introduced to MAC Pro Longwear Foundation a few years ago when I was battling uneven skin colours and tone. This was a god send to imperfect skin when I was attending weddings in the summer. It stayed on my face and once blended looked really natural (as if I didn't need to wear a heavy foundation), it also was sensitive on my skin and didn't clog up pores. The slight annoyance I did have with it is that there is usually about half a centimetre left in the bottom of it that the pump doesn't pick up. To solve this I have had to use a small eye brush to get it all.
Tips: Make sure you go to a MAC person to select the right colour tone for your face. You may need one colour for summer and one for winter dependent on your tan.
This foundation is good for people with clear skin that needs some coverage. It is not so good to put over any blemishes as it just enhances them with dry patches. The foundation does last a long time and it doesn't have any paint smell like mac studio fix. However, this foundation made me breakout really bad in random areas that I wouldn't normally. I also don't really like the look of this foundation on my face - basically it looks like you have a full face of foundation instead of naturally flawless skin. I am going to go back to my all time favorite elf x
This is currently my fave foundation. I went to mac at farmers originally to grab the Studio Fix after reading so much about it on BR but the woman there lead me to this Longwear stuff as I was after a more medium coverage. I love it because I can apply a little for basic coverage on a work day/good skin day OR I can get a more flawless look for those girly nights out. I also love the pump applicator and the fact that you can lock the pump from wasting away in your makeup bag. My last foundation was a squeeze bottle and for like the last half of the bottle I felt like I was always really trying hard to get the foundation out. Good stuff MAC.
I love this foundation. it does everything i want it to do. I had never really used MAC products before untill my mum brought it for me and now its the only foundation i like to use. I like how its a pump lid rather than a squeeze bottle as i dont get to much out at one go and end up wasting it. I Really like how it feels on as other foundation i had used in the past felt heavy but this feels nice on my skin.
I feel like I have tried almost every full coverage foundation out there & definitely found this one lasts the longest but not sure if this is due to a really good primer (Smashbox) combined with MAC studio fix powder. The pump bottle is a definite pro and the liquid is easily to apply & blend with a brush. I definitely prefer the pro long wear to the studio fix as it provides more coverage & even survives the gym!
Just discovered this, after getting sick looking oily by the afternoon, every day. I have been using Revlon Colourstay for 10+ years! What attracted me to this product was solely that I own so many other Mac products which are all great quality, so I decided to ignore the $70 price tag of the Mac foundation and give it a go. I'm using powder of the top, as I was with the Revlon, but I am so much less oily it's amazing :) It lasts a lot longer, it doesn't come off on my clothes, and it's quite heavy so it's got great coverage. I have terrible skin so I don't mind looking like I'm wearing a lot of foundation - it's better than seeing pores and uneven skin tones. Final verdict = 100% sold on this product.
Tips: I was colour matched at a Mac shop, which is really important - I would never have picked this colour for myself, but once it was on my face, it looked absolutely perfect. Definitely get colour matched!
