MAC Pro Longwear Foundation Review

Just discovered this, after getting sick looking oily by the afternoon, every day. I have been using Revlon Colourstay for 10+ years! What attracted me to this product was solely that I own so many other Mac products which are all great quality, so I decided to ignore the $70 price tag of the Mac foundation and give it a go. I'm using powder of the top, as I was with the Revlon, but I am so much less oily it's amazing :) It lasts a lot longer, it doesn't come off on my clothes, and it's quite heavy so it's got great coverage. I have terrible skin so I don't mind looking like I'm wearing a lot of foundation - it's better than seeing pores and uneven skin tones. Final verdict = 100% sold on this product.

After bad experiences with MAC foundation for my school balls a few years ago (I looked orange) I was very skeptical about buying a MAC foundation, but with all the hype I had to give it another go. When I got home I was worried because the formula still looked quite orange, but when I applied, blended and set my foundation it looked FLAWLESS! I love this foundation and it is definitely long-wearing.

This stuff is my to die for! I love this stuff! I was using SPF Mac foundation then i was gifted this one by my mother!

I like this better because it has the squirt lid! (although the SPF one may come like this too) . It truely gives me a flawless look and i couldnt be more happier with it. With me it lasts for ages, i wore it out the other night and slept in my makeup and woke up and still looked good!

I covers all my imperfections and it matches me perfectly! I follow this with a MAC bronzing powder and gives a great full coverage that doesnt leave me looking cakey or orange!!

Overall i cannot say one bad thing about this and im quite critical! even though it is on the pricey side, i would definitely splurge out! Plus it doesn't run out fast!

After a horrible experience where the MUA at MAC mismatched me for studio fix (after spending the best part of $70 to find I look orange) I reluctantly went back to get re-done. This time I came away with a new shade which suited me much better and a pro-longwear foundation because the memories of studio fix were a bit too close for comfort. Since then I fell in love - it glides on nicely, isn't too thick and my flatmates couldn't even tell I was wearing foundation (this is the point, right?). However I have since learned that MAC has discontinued my shade NW13 in the pro-longwear so once this runs out it looks like I'll be going back to studio fix (eek!).

This is currently my fave foundation. I went to mac at farmers originally to grab the Studio Fix after reading so much about it on BR but the woman there lead me to this Longwear stuff as I was after a more medium coverage. I love it because I can apply a little for basic coverage on a work day/good skin day OR I can get a more flawless look for those girly nights out. I also love the pump applicator and the fact that you can lock the pump from wasting away in your makeup bag. My last foundation was a squeeze bottle and for like the last half of the bottle I felt like I was always really trying hard to get the foundation out. Good stuff MAC.

Holy grail foundation!!!!!!!!!! Stays on all day, it won't budge, even after wiping my face, going for a swim in the lake for a couple of hours, being in the sun, it stays put. Covers everything that needs covered and keep oil at bay and doesn't cling to dry patches, love love love!!!!!

So far this is my HG foundation and believe me I have tried a lot! I love MACs range of shade ( make color matching during winter and summer a breeze ) and this truly is long wearing. I have quite oily skin and could never find a foundation that would last the day until I was introduced to pro long wear and now I even use it on my brides and my own big day :) Highly recommend!

The only foundation that I bought more than 3x and finished the whole bottle to its last bit! That's how much I loved this foundation! It worked in my acne- prone skin, and lasted in my face for a good 14 hour without touch ups. The coverage can go from medium up to full and the longevity is amazing especially me with the oiliest skin possible. It also said that it is non- transferrable which I agree. I would try blot my face with a tissue and there is close to no transfer at all. Ofcourse it is not 100% non- transferrable, I would say 95%! It also does not feel heavy or look thick in my face through out the day. Another thing I like is how spot on the color match is!

I love this, I dont know what took me so long to try it. It feels light on the skin, gives amazing coverage, last all day (working day 8 hours), Gives such a natural finish, doesn't oxidize, I just love it. I buy all my m.a.c of the us website and I feel like it is worth the price and will defenitly repurchase

I think I have just found my holy grail foundation. I have 4 different MAC foundations and the pro longwear is definitely my favourite. I wish I had bought a back up!!!

My skin is changing dramatically. It even looks like it's losing it's elasticity which is ultimately making me look like I need a face lift. I'm only 23!! It is shocking.

The packaging is simple but nice. It comes in a glass bottle with a black lockable lid which I think is awesome. It means it will not spill. I think all foundation pumps should have this

I have the shade nw20 and it is the best shade for me. It matches me perfectly! On the days where I only want a little bit of coverage (mostly if I'm just running errands) I can do one pump and it will do my entire face.

The coverage is buildable. For a light coverage I use 1 pump, for medium coverage I'll use and extra 1/2 - 1 pump and gradually build it up and it wont make you look cakey.

I love how this foundation evens out my skintone making it look healthier. It even erases any redness, and covers blemishes really well all while letting your skin breathe and allowing it to have that 'skin' like finish.

I have noticed that if I use a dewy primer that I get a bit oily on my t zone so I prefer to either use a matte primer or set the foundation with my pro longwear powder.

This foundation is life!!
