Tips: If you see it buy it. It normaly sells out fast
I brought one of these in Strawberry Sorbet. It comes in the classic egg shaped packaging and has the standard looking balm inside.
The balm is pleasant tasting and sweet smelling. It does have a light strawberry flavor to it, but not overpowering.
The balm is moisturizing at first, but over the course of a few hours I noticed that it became drying and if not replenished, the lips would become dried and flaky.
I also after carrying it around, have decided a prefer a slim stick lip balm as it fits in my pocket better.
I was really excited to try this and while it wasn't worse than most other lip balms, it wasn't better like I hoped it would be.
Tips: Easiest to get on iherb.
I like that I can take the lid off and give it a swipe across my lips without having to twist it up on dig my finger into a pottle. Leaves my lips feeling hydrated and it has a nice smell to it.
I received the peppermint one in my look fantastic beauty box in March and I have put it into my handbag as a go to lip balm. I absolutely adore the packaging and I wish the product itself would be better suited to me, so I could buy other flavours. I don’t think I will though, as it’s not as hydrating as I’d like and it irritates my lips when they are chapped, but I think it’s probably just because of the peppermint and this wouldn’t be a problem with other flavours. However the tingling sensation is nice that the peppermint gives, but only when my lips are absolutely healthy and there are no cracked skin at all. I obviously use lip balms more often when my lips are chapped, so this isn’t very useful to me, lately I’ve started using it under my lipsticks when my lips are in good condition.
EOS lip balms were quite popular growing up and I've had a few over the years, mostly always the pink one ( Strawberry I think ? ). They are convenient, easy to fit in your handbag or pocket and they work well as a lip balm with a nice and pleasant scent that is not overpowering. EOS balms aren't any better than any other lip balm on the market and can be quite pricey and hard to find in NZ but they do their job.
The packaging is super cute and they smell nice, but that's where the positives end for me. I first started using these when I lived in America when I was 19 and didn't know any better. I was so excited when I saw them in New Zealand! But now in my old age and obsession with lip balms, I've come to realize these are actually useless. Upon first application, they're totally fine, but I found them to actually dry my lips out even more (which I have found with a few brands)! I'm gonna put on my tinfoil hat here and wonder out loud if they do this on purpose so you'll reapply more, and therefore buy more... Haha.
Tips: These are probably only good as little gifts/stocking stuffers for kids.
My recommendation for lip balm is the Hurraw range
This is a super cute lipbalm! However I will say the packaging from face value does look cute but I don't think it is very practical at all. This is definitely not something you can put in your pocket, compared to a regular lipbalm. And even when putting this is a purse or bag I find it takes up a lot room. I find there isn't anything too special about this compared to other lipbalms, but I will note that there are really nice scents and colours available so I understand the appeal of collecting them all.
Tips: I was able to use this product fine with no issues, but my sister did get an allergic reaction to this, so if you are sensitive to lip product to be wary of this, her lips swelled up for a few days and were very red.
Wow, such a great balm. Had mine so long. Great texture. Great Smell and so nice to hold. Lasted much longer than normal lip balm. Nice thing is that men do not tend to take it from you as it is a bit girly so you would have it much longer
Tips: Kids love the look so unless you want to loose it keep it away from little or big girls.
I was given one as a gift and loved it at first, but the novelty quickly wore off. The design is a bit clunky so I couldn't put it in my pocket easily. It also takes up lots of room in my handbag. However, I like that you can just swipe it across your lips to apply, amd don't have to twist to raise the lip balm like most other products. The smell was nice, but like other reviewers I also noticed my lips drying out quite quickly which I wasn't a fan of.
I bought the flavour Honey Apple, and I LOVE the scent and flavour even though it seemed like an odd combination at first. It leaves my lips feeling hydrated and moisturised and lasts a few hours, but I find that when it does start to fade, my lips feel chapped a short while later. The shape is at first very unique and cool-looking, but once you start applying it for a few weeks it doesn't look the same...
Tips: Use after a lip scrub for that extra smooth moisturised lip feeling!
