Pleasantly surprised

I have always natural bore style brushes and hated plastic brushes, the teeth break, they are so bulky to use and I swear I can hear my hair screaming in pain & protest. BUT I'm happy to say I've been converted!!! The contour of the base was awesome as it felt like a hand was cupping a decent amount of my scalp. Due to the lower half of my hair been bleached and then coloured green, I'm inclined to only wash my scalp and leave the ends as dry as possible. This was a good test to see how the brush went because if I brush from the scalp with wet hair down to the dry ends it can cause a serious birds nest. The Mita TanglePRO went right through and I didn't hear a single bit of my hair snapping!!! With the soft rubber surrounding the handle was also ideal as this meant the brush didn't go flying out my hands and knock the cat out (yes this has happened before). Finally, the bristles, no breaking and most importantly no tangling, although it did make my hair beautifully smooth I do wonder if this brush is able to give volume?

Tips: If you have a sensitive scalp the teeth may be slightly uncomfortable, but you can brush your hair fine without touching your scalp

Knotty no more

My hair is thin and knots incredible quickly, wet or dry, so this brush is actually a miracle. I have used tangle teasers in the past but the no handle design made it hard for me to use, especially the back of my head where I get the most tangles therefore I discontinued using them. The bristle design on this brush is similar, but the addition of a handle has made this brush my new holy grail. I first used this brush on my dry hair, just to get rid of a couple knots and after 1 pass through my hair, at most 2 in the worst place, my hair was tangle free. After using on dry hair, I tried it just as I got out of the shower, same thing. 1 or 2 passes through my hair and it was tangle free, with minimal pulling and I was also able to easily reach the back of my head. Deciding to put the brush through the paces, I went swimming at the beach, got my hair wet and when I got home attempted to brush it out. I found that it did have more trouble untangling my hair when it was filled with salt and sand, but a couple of extra passes and i was able to run my fingers through with no knots. This brush worked so well on my hair, there was minimal breakage and the design was easy to use. Removing the hair that was left in the brush was also easy, and due to the rubber bristles cleaning was quick and simple. The only thing I wish is that there were different colour options, as I would typically not buy a pink hairbrush!

Tips: Great for helping pull your hair into a pony tail because the large surface area gets most of your hair in one go!

A superior design

This product really got me wondering. When you look at tangle teasers and hair brush companies that have used a similar design, was nobody upset to loose the handle on their hairbrush? It's a bit odd isn't it to grip on to just the top part of a brush and attempt to tame the mane. This is like the best of two worlds tangle Pro head with a handle! Okay enough about the design and mode about the actual use of this product. Firstly my hair is medium thickness, very long and extremely bleached, meaning that the breakage is REAL! I used this brush on both wet and dry hair and the breakage is seriously reduced. Usually I have a lap full of broken off bits of hair, but instead of a lap full theres just one or two. Very impressed. I also get a very tangled underside of my hair through the day which can usually be painful to brush out at the end of the day. With this brush, starting at the ends of my hair and working my way up it was painless and quick! Another note, this is the quietest brush ever. Sometimes with other brushes I can hear my hair breaking and pulling (literally just accepted this as a fact of life). This brush basically slipped through my hair. No need to go back over sections and my twisted tangled ends weren't destroyed. Overall: I'm keeping this brush forever and loving it like my first born.

Tips: I can see this being a great product for people with kids that have knotty hair because of this pain free experience. Good for after the pool/ swimming when hair is particularly troublesome.

Mita TanglePRO

This is one of the most fantastic detangle brushes I have ever used. I have quite thin hair but there’s a lot of it so it tangles easily. This brush is so easy to use and it leaves my hair so smooth. I don’t think I’ll ever use another brush. It definitely does what it claims to do. And I will definitely be recommending friends to use this

Why did they ever take the handle away?!

So de-tangling brushes. Why did they take the handle away? There must be some reason right? I mean the difference has always been in the teeth/bristles - they're designed to gently untangle knotty hair right? But who decided the trade off for pain-free detanglement was the comfort of a handle?!

Thankfully Mita have returned sense to the world of our hair's sensibilities. We can now have the best of both worlds - a fantastic detangler and a handy-handle.

The paddle is a great size and tackles a large area at once, its also curved to hug your head. It does actually feel quite lovely on the scalp.

The teeth are varying heights and compared to my official Tangle Teezer, the Mita brush offers more teeth per square inch. You can definitely feel the difference, its less snaggy, less pull-y.

The handle really makes a huge difference, honestly I can't remember a time I didn't drop my palm sized detangler at least once per brush.

This works equally well on dry or wet hair, and on the latter, hair dries smoothly and frizz-free.

For $20 you really can't go wrong. I really, really recommend this brush.

Tips: erm, buy it? Seriously, its flawless, I can't really offer any tips to make using it better. Buy it, brush your hair, and feel the difference!

Amazing! No pulling on knots, just glides through.

I tried this on two people with very different hair. It worked brilliantly on both!

My flatmate has used it for four days on her "stupid, knotty Maori hair" and she was so excited that she could "actually brush her hair again!!!". It glided right through the knots (dry hair) "without pulling! yay!" and it also made her hair look shiny after two days. She now uses it twice a day along with a serum to contain the inevitable fuzz that comes from brushing out curly hair. She used to just wash her hair and tie it up so she LOVES this brush.

My 4 year old blonde niece tried it once as I had the package on me when I went for a visit at bath time. She gets really bad after-bath tangling, so I whipped it out and got her Mum to use it. She was really happy with it, it glided through wet hair with no problems and my sis-in-law went out to buy her one the next day! No more after-bath crying!

The packaging is nice but there's a bit too much plastic in it. The brush itself looked like it could be cheap plastic but after a few uses it is obvious that it's good quality. I was worried that the rubber brush part might pull away from the plastic handle, as most brushes do on thick or knotty hair, but this one is actually fixed in and is VERY good quality. Very sturdy. As it is not pulling on the hair, the brush part stays attached to the base easily.

To summarise, this simply does what it says that it will do and it is decent quality. I've already recommended it to all of my friends on Facebook, which is a first for me.

Tips: If you have thick hair you will need a serum to contain the fuzz (as with all brushing), but it will brush through knots exactly like it is supposed to!

It simply glides though wet or dry knotty hair without pulling. It was tried on thick, dry, Polynesian hair and thin, wet, Pākehā hair and worked well on both.

Mita TangilePRO Review

This brush works wonders! Not only does it glide through wet or dry hair, detangles tangles and makes my hair feel good, it also feels like it massages my scalp! There appears to be no hair breakage from using this and it has a nice comfortable handle. Love the colour it is so bright I never lose it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Tips: less packaging would be great.

A Must have Detangler!

When i was chosen for the Mita TanglePro hair Brush, i felt a bit not so confident that it will do what it says. Now its been 5 days of trial with this detangler and i must say, it does what it says for sure. Detangles wet or dry hair very nicely and i even noticed that it straightens them out very well too. I always have this issue with my new small hair flying in my partitions, but when i brushed my semi-wet hair with it 3 days back, i noticed my hair settled really well for the day.

I am sure to keep this forever and use it regularly instead of my comb, coz its bristles make my hair feel so gud and message at the same time. When you brush ur the scalp does not get rubbed too, as the tips of bristles are designed in such a great way. The only thing i noticed which is not much annoying to me is that when u brush in dry hair, it feels rough and hurts me a bit, but it is worth it. So its gud to brush hair when they r not completely dry in my opinion. I will recommend this one to my friends offcourse. Thank u beauty review, this brush is a keeper!

Tips: Brushing hair when they r nearly dry is a gud idea, as i would avoid brushing completely dry hair, to make this detangler work with smoothing effect!

Wow, takes out all the tangles with no pain!

I have waist-length thick hair, so it often gets tangled and knotted whenever I go out or so much as move my head. Despite having accumulated 3 days' worth of knots that would normally take me at least 20 mins to get out, the Mita TanglePRO just glided through in 4-5 strokes and had gotten all the knots and loose hairs out with no painful tugging at my scalp or broken hairs. It was amazing to not hear the snap snap snap of hairs breaking away.

The teeth are uneven heights and a little pointy, so it actually feels very relaxing on the scalp, kind of like a massage. When I use it to brush out wet or even almost dry hair, I find that this helps smooth down my hairs slightly too. Normally when I use detanglers I get some flyaway hairs frizzling up. You could probably also use a serum with the brush to get better smoothing.

The big paddle size meant it covers a larger surface area (perfect for someone with as much hair as I do!). I also really liked the solid handle as it allowed me to get a good grip on it. There's nothing worse than dropping the brush as you tug and these days it is so, so difficult to find a detangler with a handle.

I was a little unsure of the plastic packaging it came in. It made the brush look a bit cheap, but once I got my hands on the brush it was quite obvious that the product was not the cheap light plastic I feared. The TanglePRO has quite a bit of weight to it. The edges of the paddle were a little rough with small plastic bits, but nothing major.

It's also a gorgeous black and pink, which is very reminiscent of Barbie hairbrushes I feel. The only slight downside is that dust accumulates really obviously on the shiny black parts, so you're constantly wiping away at it.

Otherwise though, this was an amazing detangling brush that did everything it claimed to and more. I'm never using my other brushes again and wasting time pulling at knots. You need this if you have unruly or extremely thick hair!

Tips: Brush on slightly damp hair for a slight smoothing and straightening effect as you get out the knots and tangles.

No more knots

I was really excited to try this, as I have thick and long hair that always gets knotty and can be really hard to brush! This made brushing an ease- I noticed less pulling at my scalp and way less hair fall out! This just glides through my hair and de tangles as it goes. It made brushing more gentle and less of a pull/tug kind of situation. As I was brushing my hair, I also found that when I got to where there was more hair (around my neck, where my hair is thicker and more dense), I don’t think the bristles reached all the way through my hair and could brush them all out. The silicon bristles are different lengths, and it didn’t poke or scrape into my scalp at all, it actually felt kind of nice! I also tried this on wet hair, and found that it worked really well! I find some combs too sharp when they come into contact with my scalp, however no issues with this! I normally put my hair into a pony tail and use my brush to brush up the hairs and smooth them out from the bottom up and on the top. I tried that with this brush, And I found that when I brushed my hair up into the pony tail, the brush didn’t pick up all my hair and missed the deeper hairs, closer to the back/scalp. This made it hard to get my hair into a pony tail, so I used my old brush. The brush has good weight, not too heavy or too light and the handle was really easy to hold. The black and pink design is super cute! And because where the bristles are is pink, it was easy for me to see where my hair got stuck in the brush, making it easier to clean. All in all, while I had trouble with this brush when I tried to tie my hair up in a pony tail, I found it de tangled my hair really easy, there was way less tugging at my scalp and I got less hair fall out!

Tips: Good to use on wet or dry hair! If you have thick hair like me, you might have some trouble using it to pull up hairs and smooth them into a pony tail!
