Hard to get a colour to suit my skin colour. And when the staff member recommended one to me, it felt greasy and didn't feel comfortable at all.

I personally think there are better long wear foundations out there. I have been trying a sample of this over the past few days and my skin has broken out in huge pimples around my neck and nose. Thanks goodness I asked to have a tester to use before I purchased it. However I did fine that it stayed on and didn't appear to wear off like some other foundations, there certainly was no need for me to use a primer which I always use with my colour stay, but can't say that the colour stay wouldn't stay on without a primer either (I have just always used one).
Tips: Always ask for a tester before buying any foundation as you need to be able to wear if a few times to see if it is going to cause break outs or if the colour changes over the day.
I've been trailing different foundations over the last few months, and this was second on the list. Recommended to me from numerous people, and I'd read that the foundation that I was using is a dupe for this one.
Hated it! It didn't blend into my skin very well, and I tried numerous different application techniques (fingers, brush, sponge) but to no avail. It looked chalky, clung to any dry spots I had and sat in my creases. I'm almost pleased that I didn't like it though, because at over $80 a bottle it's the most expensive on the list of foundations I'm trying! The colour matched most of my face….except my nose. Never had such an issue before!
My little sister (23) and mum love it though. I'd definitely recommend going in and getting a 10 day sample before investing in a full bottle!
Ok, let's start off I have combo/oily skin. This product is always recommended for my skin type, claiming that it will stay on and look flawless all day. It does stay on all day, but even when applied "flawlessly" when my oils come through it is visible that it becomes patchy, it comes off on my nose it feels super heavy and definitely not natural!! It oxidised on my skin, it looks HORRIBLE IN PHOTOS (flash) it just has this horrific white cast. I tried everything with this foundation.. Different primers, no primer, different setting powders.. NOTHING HELPED. I am so disappointed because I wanted to love this foundation. I much prefer the Revlon Colorstay. It does everything this says it does, but it actually does it.
Tips: -Take a tester pot home first -Try Revlon Colorstay instead
So I got my free 10 day trial on this foundation I found that it made me more pail even thou it matched my skin tone. I found that it also made my skin flakey and I started to get break outs
Overall I was disappointed with this product. My main issue with it is that I bought it in the second lightest cool toned shade by I end up with this orange tint that does not suit me at all. Not sure if this is oxidation or just a bad colour. It's not the first light cool toned foundation that has given me this problem. Another thing I dislike about it is that I'd heard this foundation "looks like skin" but this was the opposite experience for me. Up close my skin looked cakey and oily (more oily than if I wasn't wearing this) and unnatural even when applying medium coverage with acne scars still visible. The only time I ever wear this foundation is on a night out where the lighting is dim. This is the only time I can get away with the orange tint and the oily/cakey look. Also, this product is very difficult to remove. I struggled to remove it with 2 different makeup removes one being my trusty micellar water. Removing this requires lots of cotton pads, makeup remover, and then a thorough cleanse with a good cleanser. I will say this product is definitely water resistant and transfer resistant. And finally, although this product says it is non acnegenic this is misleading as it is comedogenic. Gives me breakouts after I use it. :// And so I barely ever use it now. Waste of money on such an expensive foundation that so many people have raved about.
Tips: You don't need to buy the pump, just tip out a little at a time.
After all the hype about this product... I really wanted to love it. But unfortunately I just cant! Big thumbs down for me.
I have quite oily, breakout prone skin. Everytime I use this foundation my skin breaks out worse than it ever has. The product itself slips around all day and needs to be touched up constantly. I definitely would not buy this again for the price it is!
After finally clearing up a years worth of breakouts, I was left with the remnants, in the form of acne scarring on fair skin. Estee Lauder Double Wear sounded like my miracle, holy grail foundation - promising long lasting coverage. I don't usually post entirely negative reviews, but I Estee Lauder Double Wear did not impress me.
Firstly, it was difficult to get the right colour. There is a large selection of shades to choose from, but the shade I selected darkened/oxidised after half an hour on my skin. It shifted at least two shades, so my neck needed some serious bronzing. The formula was thinner than I expected, and without a pump, this product was beyond awkward to apply. I experimented with my fingers, a flat top brush and a beauty blender, and each application was a messy disaster. The foundation did not apply evenly, and built up around the edges of my face, where I wasn't needing coverage. I found it difficult to build up this foundation around areas where I wanted more coverage (chin and forehead). I don't usually reach for concealer, but this foundation did not provide the full coverage that I was looking for, so I applied concealer on my acne scarring and set with powder.
This foundation did last, but if I set with powder I never have an issue with any foundations not lasting. Although it lasted a solid 12 hours (I didn't need to wear it longer than this), the result was never flawless in the first place, so I was unhappy with the finish.
Overall I will not be repurchasing this foundation, nor finishing the bottle. It does not provide the coverage, finish or application that I am looking for, and regardless of price I have drugstore foundations that I prefer. For full coverage and long lasting foundation, I would instead recommend adding the Thin Lizzy concealer and Australis Fresh and Flawless powder alongside your regular foundation to add coverage and set it in place.

I really, really wanted to love this foundation. I'd heard such good things about it, everyone seems to think that it's amazing! However.... luckily, I got a sample of this to try before purchasing, and I'm glad I did. It went on smoothly and felt great, but within four hours I'd noticed separation in my T-zone, and at six-to-seven hours, my face looked like an oil slick. No amount of blotting or setting helped for more than a minute or two either!
Tips: Don't go near this if you have oily skin!
I was a little disappointed with this foundation. Applying it with a brush left my skin very dry and cakey looking. I applied it next time with a damp beauty blender and this was helpful. After couple of weeks using this foundation I was breaking out a lot around my cheeks and my skin was very red and dehydrated. I don't have particularly sensitive skin so I was surprised at the way my skin was reacting. The staying power of this Foundation is very good. I would still use this for the odd occasion I need a full and long lasting coverage but it is definitely not something I would reach for on a daily basis or for regular use. Wouldn't recommend for dry or sensitive skin at all.
