Cloud 9 The Original Iron Review

Being an ex hairdresser I've had access to the best tools in the industry. When I first used these straighteners I was sold, they are far superior to anything else on the market. I have thick coarse frizzy hair and it tames my hair with ease. It's streamlined body makes it easy to handle and the curved edges means it's perfect for curling also. I've used them on other hair types and the heat control setting make it adaptable from very fine to very coarse. The smoothness of the plates means they don't catch or snag which is important with such a high heat range, so you don't risk burning your hair.

I was given a Cloud 9 original iron as a present for my 18th birthday, im now 21. This hair straightener is one of the best beauty investments you can make. This product is sturdy and can handle being dropped a few times, these plates have never cracked.

I found the changeable temperature really useful over time as I've previously chemically treated my hair and needed to lower the heat. This iron still heats up really quickly, even after three years.

These irons have been able to straighten my long, thick hair with ease with causing minimum damage to my hair.

This product has been well worth its price tag as I still use it everyday and it still works as well as it did on day one.

If you have coloured hair bleached hair or fine hair this is the straightener for you. (Also suitable for thick course hair) This straightener has a heat adjuster which is a must if your hair is coloured or fine. Try it on different heat settings as the lowest heat the better it is for your hair, Glides easily through the hair without dragging which is especially important when creating curls. 4 years ago, i was tossing up whether to buy the GHD which seemed to be the best thing in the market, or to spend a little more money and get the Cloud 9's. After doing research, and i mean a lot of research. It seemed original GHD'S were awesome, but the newer ones just werent as good so i was leaning towards buying Cloud 9's. The deciding factor was when i was talking to my hairdresser who wholeheartedly supported cloud 9's, saying if you had to choice, they were the way to go. And so i did.

I purchased my cloud 9's for $350, which i have to admit it a lot, especially if your on a student budget like i was. But my gosh, they are pretty. They come in a black box which has a metallic teal strip running around it, with the cloud 9 logo imprinted on the front. Picture perfect. They came with a velvet carry bag, as well as a cover which means you pack your straighteners away even when they're hot.

Not sold? The straightener is sleek, but you can just tell its quality. From the temperature control settings, you can tailor the heat to suit your hair type, as well as the hair style you want to create. An amazing thing because no one wants to singe their hair. The plates on the straightener are infused with minerals, leaving hair looking shiny and healthy, instead of heat damaged and dry. The plates also glide over my hair, instead of tugging it like GHD's do. The cord is a swivel cord which means you can easily adjust the angle.

This straightener is perfection. I have tried both a GHD , and the cloud 9 and just can't believe the difference. It literally is amazing.
