Would it shock you to know that some Paw Paw balms ingredients list say they are made up of 96% Petroleum Jelly?  Have you got one in the house now? Go check the ingredients list and tell us what's in it!

Women.  We are reknowned for our multi tasking abilitiies.  Why do one thing, when you can do three?  Why solve one problem, when you can solve four, and make tea? It stands to reason then that if any product is going to get us excited, it's going to be a multi purpose product right?

Products with more than one use are generally more cost effective and environmentally friendly.  They also mean we don't have to cart our whole beauty kit around with us.  But can one product really do it all?

Paw Paw Ointments are nature's multi purpose product. They are just as versatile as your tub of petroleum jelly, if not more so.  Not only does it make an excellent lip salve, it has antibacterial and antimicrobial benefits and can be used as a topical salve for minor burns & scalds, sunburn, cuts & minor open wounds, nappy rash, chafing, insect bites, splinters and many, many more uses.

We're putting Sukin Pawpaw Ointment to the test.  This petrochemical free, versatile ointment with fermented Paw Paw nourishes and soothes chapped lips and dehydrated skin. Alongside fermented Paw Paw is a blend of natural oils, wax and extracts including Castor Seed Oil and Papaya Fruit Extract to hydrate and protect the skin’s moisture barrier.

This multipurpose ointment may also be used to ease the discomfort associated with redness and itching due to dryness while also improving the texture of skin.  It's suitable for all skin types and like all Sukin products, is paraben and sulphate free, Vegan and kind to bunnies!

We're looking for THIRTY people to put this gorgeous product to the test and write a review of their experiences with it.  So why not get chatting to us about all things paw paw.

Do you regularly use a paw paw ointment?  What do you use it for?  Are all Paw Paw balms created equal? Do you really know what the ingredients are? Would it bother you to discover yours had petroleum jelly in it?  Would you expect them to be more 'natural' like the Sukin Paw Paw Ointment with it's natural oils and waxes?

Talk paw paw to us below!

This Sukin one looks fantastic as I had heard some negative things about other paw paw ointments so I haven't used one for a while

I have never used Paw Paw cream as someone told me years ago about its ingredients. I'm probably missing out on something but I just couldn't bring myself to use it because of the petrochemicals.

My daughter uses paw paw ointment and swears by it. Maybe I need to try it

I love using paw paw cream as a lip balm, on dry skin patches, for hives and even on my cuticles if I can't be bothered using my cuticle oil. I have only used the brand Lucas' and would be interested to try other brands.

I've never actually used a Paw Paw ointment! People always recommend it but I just haven't gotten around to trying it. I assumed that they were all natural ingredients so it is good to know this isn't always the case - I'll definitely be checking the ingredients when I get around to trying it!

I have tried other brand, and it was amazing. I am keen on trying this brand to see if it's even more amazing than the other brand. Low paw paw ointment!

I have only brought and used two brands of paw paw ointment in the past to find out they were primarily just petroleum jelly, disappointed, I just went off using them and have been meaning ever since to buy a better quality product and try the paw paw again as I have read about and been told about the various benefits and uses so many times. I'd really love to trial this as I think it could be exactly the type of paw paw product I've been after! Plus I love natural products with a passion!

I've always been quite anti-pawpaw and referred to it as an overpriced vaseline, however I would definitely not turn my nose up at the particular one due to its natural ingredients.

This is a mini first aid kit in a tube. I always have a tube in my bag but now I'm a little shocked at the ingredients

I use paw paw ointment for cracked lips and I would be gutted if it was mostly petroleum jelly. Would be really interesting to try the Sukin one to see what it is like being more natural and without natural oils and waxes.

I love my Paw Paw, I used the $3 one from K-mart as it is affordable and effective. I primarily use it for chapped lips and apply a few times a day. It doesn't bother me that it has a high petroleum content. I would definitely be interested in trying out different brands.

I have never tried Lucas pawpaw before because I'm one of the few people that always knew it was mostly petroleum jelly. I'm not a fan of using petroleum jelly as it's designed to block moisture in, instead of adding more moisture. I would be interested in trying this brand, as the natural oils and waxes sound like a nice addition to a lip product.

I love the lucas paw paw ointment it works so well for whenever I have cracked skin but recently it's been less 'potent' and seems to take longer to be effective. Be awesome to try this one!

I've never tried Pawpaw ointment before, would love to try it. It sounds amazing!

I have sensitive skin and break out with small spots of eczema. Would love to try this instead of using steroid creams!!
