We've got something a little bit exciting to see us through the end of the week and over the weekend - we've teamed with our fabulous friends at St Ives to bring you not one, but THREE trial opportunities.  Scrubbers - we're looking for you!!  Let's start with...scrub-ortunity number one.

If you've got your cleansing, toning and moisturising down, but your skin is still lacking a little something-something, you might want to add in 1-2 exfoliating sessions a week.  You can literally scrub away the old/dead skin and face your day fresh faced and shiny-new.

It doesn't matter what skin type you have (even sensitive), regular, gentle exfoliation can help.  Here's 5 ways exfoliating your face is a good thing:

  1. It can reduce breakouts.  Acne prone and oil skin generally sheds more skin cells - but instead of falling off, they stick to the oils in your skin, clogging pores and creating spots.  Exfoliating can help remove the skin cell debris and prevent a build up.
  2. It can reduce large pores. Clogged pores look larger - exfoliating unclogs the pores allows them to shrink back in size.
  3. It can improve the texture of your skin.  Getting rid of dead cells allows new cells to take their place.  Essentially your skin will go from dull to bright!
  4. It can help your skin absorb other products better.  Blocked pores will not absorb your lotions and potions as efficiently as unclogged pores.  A huge bonus is that it allows sunscreen to absorb more and better protect your skin.
  5. It can help prevent the signs of ageing.  Exfoliating smoothes the skin and helps it keep it's elasticity.

The St. Ives Apricot Blemish Control Scrub is perfect for all of these things - but especially formulated to tackle point number one - breakouts and blemishes.  This delicious scrub smells of fuzzy apricots and contains Salicylic Acid to help reduce breakouts before they even occur.

The exfoliants are 100% natural for a gentle, deep cleanse.  It's oil and paraben free, dermatologist tested & non comedogenic, meaning it won't block your pores.

So if you'd like to be one of twenty ladies putting this to the test, why not get chatting to us about your exfoliating habits?  Are you a regular scrubber or is it something you need to start including in your skincare routine?  For the regular exfoliators among us, do you notice a change if you skip a session?  Are you suffering from blemishes and breakouts that the St. Ives Apricot Blemish Control Scrub could help with?

Go on, get chatting below - we might pick you!

Love the scent of this but my sensitive skin can't take the kernel particles in this. Looking forward to seeing what other scrubs wait for us!!!
