How often do you treat your hair at home?

"I am my hair" sang Lady Gaga.  A sentence almost every woman will relate to.  Have a good hair day and we can conquer the world.  A bad hair day is enough to ruin a day with nothing much on, but argh a bad hair day when you have say, a job interview, a first date or a girl's night out - it's just cruel.  How many times has a woman just pulled her hair back in to a pony tail and said "that will have to do"?

Split ends, damaged or weak hair make hair harder to style, harder to rock the au natural look and ridiculously impossible to get a sleek, chic do.  So what's the answer?  Treatments.  Deep, intensive, repairing, whatever word comes before it, the word treatment is the key.  A salon treatment is a lovely add on to your regular hair dressing appointment but it could turn out quite pricey if your hair needs weekly treatments!  So can you get a good treatment at home?  We're sure a lot of our Beauty Reviewers will have lots of at-home experiences of hair treatments - whether you've raided the kitchen cupboards or the supermarket shelves.

Well...of course, we have a hair treatment to put to the test.  We're looking for oodles of reviewers to put the brand-spanking-new Garnier Fructis Hair Food Masks to the test.  The 98 per cent natural origin formulas are free of parabens, silicones and artificial colourants.  Each variant can be used as a conditioner, hair mask and as a leave-in treatment - multi tasking treatments...we love it!!

Garnier Fructis Nourishing Banana Hair Food is enriched with banana, shea butter and coconut oil for stronger, healthier hair. It deeply hydrates and repairs, leaving dry hair soft and healthy.

Garnier Fructis Smoothing Macadamia Hair Food is enriched with macadamia seed oils, soya and coconut oil to intensely moisturise and smooth, leaving dry and unruly hair soft and healthy.

Garnier Fructis Repairing Papaya Hair Food is enriched with papaya, sunflower seed and coconut oils that repair and smooths ends, leaving hair strong and healthy.

Garnier Fructis Protecting Goji Hair Food is enriched with goji, soya and coconut oils to revive the radiance of coloured hair and protects from damage, leaving hair vibrant and healthy.

Get chatting to us below and tell us how often you use a treatment on your hair at home, and what kind of treatment you use - and most importantly - which flavour of Garnier Hair Food you'd like to review!

Ohh the Macadamia or the Papaya sound friggen amazing! I use a hair treatment once a week or a fortnight depending on how my hair is doing (I only wash my hair once a week..)My hair does need some serious loving though...having a toddler isn't good for hair, especially long hair!!!

I am a high user of conditioner, though have never tried a hair mask. Looking at all the options, I think I could tick the box for any of these nourishing masks.

Don’t they all sound so delicious - I hope they deliver what they promise.

Man this is what i need! I use leave in treatments that kind of help, but I'm looking for something that strengthens... especially the ends. The papaya hair food would be perfect for me and i would love to trial this one.

I don't treat my hair at all! But it sure does need it! I'm looking for a good treatment and would love to review this for you. As my ends are very dry and think I would really like to try this one: Garnier Fructis Repairing Papaya Hair Food, it sounds amazing, they all do!! Thank you :)

Ooh the papaya one sounds so good! My hair is super long - almost down to my butt, and blonde so it needs all the help it can get !

I usually only do a hair treatment when there is a problem ie dry scalp or if there's an event coming up...my hair is SO dry and damaged though so this should really become a regular thing! It's great that these seem affordable too.

My hair once was smooth and shiny until i decided to do styling. My hair usually feels smooth the day after washing, but it only lasts a couple of days then feels a bit dry and crinkly? Sometimes i get the spit ends. I dont do hair treatments but the hair food descriptions are so tempting. Want to have that healthy, smooth, glowing hair back again. The papaya, macadamia or banana sounds like the ones i need.

I use hair treatments often - my hair has been bleached to hell and back, and is now a peach is pink but it’s so dry :( I use Olaplex and Kerastase products to bring life back into my hair

I have very curly hair. I’ve started the curly girl hair method. And on the CG pages I’m apart of, everyone raves about and recommends these hair food. However I’ve been to every local supermarket and none have them !!! I would love to try it. I’ve heard it’s great for curly hair as a leave in conditioner also ! So would be great to see if it could take my unruly curls ! Banana or macadamia ones would be great to try.

I would love to try the papaya treatment on my coloured hair that has some dryness to it. I do use a thermal product on it when I am drying it but I do feel it may need a little bit more tlc that hopefully will improve its condition. I am growing it from super short so have quite a few "bad hair days" atm!

I would love to try this product, I love treatments and these ones sound like they smell gorgeous. The protect version would also help with the heat stylers!

24th June, 2018

I have very long curly hair so the ends are always split and dry. I try to wash my hair only 2-3 times per week so I use a hair masque in the shower after this. Then when my hairs wet i use argan oil on the ends. None of this seems to do much good I'm definitely keen to try these products

24th June, 2018

I haven't used a hair treatment for a couple of years! I struggled to find a good one. Could this be it? I like the sound of the natural ingredients used, especially banana. How unusual!

24th June, 2018

I never use any special treatment product on my hair just a wash and condition so would love to try one of these products Maybe the papaya or banana would be good for my locks in their 70th year!!
