Do You Wax or Epilate Regularly?

Fun fact.  The average shaver spends 5 minutes a day shaving.  That's 2.5 hours a month.  30 hours a year!  That's a lot of time spent removing something that begins growing back a day later.

For those of us not wanting to invest 1 and a bit days of our 365 into hair removal; other options offer the need to remove hair less frequently, saving time overall, with longer-lasting results.

Both waxing and epilating boast up to 4 weeks of smoothness - in exchange for a little pain of course.  Where they differ is that epilation doesn't affect the skin in the same way as waxing (which requires a wax to be applied directly to the surface of the skin) so epilation is considered best for sensitive skin.  And, those that epilate only spend around 40 minutes a month tending to hair removal - a huge yearly time saving of over 22 hours, compared to shaving.

The Braun Silk-épil 9 SkinSpa 4-in-1 epilator (RRP:$299.95) is the world’s first epilator and cleansing brush system. As well as including Braun’s best Wet & Dry epilator for long-lasting smooth skin, the set comes with a deep massage pad to help improve skin tone and appearance, two exfoliation brushes for gentle and deep body exfoliation, and a facial cleansing brush which removes make-up and impurities 6x better than a manual face cleanse.  [Read below for some product highlights]

We're looking for some great reviewers to put Braun Silk-épil 9 SkinSpa to the test and to report back to us with their verdict.

I’m a regular waxer- but there is always that time when you get hairy but it’s too soon to wax again because it will go out of sync? If that makes sense? Would be great to be able to remove hair at home - at your own convenience easily. And virtually PAINLESS in water? Game changer. And so many other features!

I wax quite regularly but have never tried epilation and would be keen to give it a try!!

Iv been waxing for the longest time, so interested to try epilation as an alternative, I love the results I get from waxing but there is so much fusing around. This looks easy with similar Results !

I'm a regular waxer, but interested in epilation as an alternative way of removing unwanted hair.

I’ve used an epilator for the past few years but changed back to shaving a month ago as I’d started to see an increase in ingrown hairs! If there’s a new epilator that might help and gives me an excuse to have more baths then I’m certainly interested!

I've tried epilation in the past but don't currently epilate. My epilator has been making a crazy sound so I haven't epilated for awhile. I've found that if you tell yourself it doesn't hurt then sometimes it doesn't lol but I actually like the feeling

I would love to give epilating a go- I have a rather high pain threshold and have been meaning to try this for ages! I have only ever shaved my legs but it is so time consuming and epilating is something I have definitely been considering for a while. I like the idea of the exfoliating brush on this one as it would help reduce the ingrown hairs which would be amazing!! (:

I have folliculitis quite badly on my thighs and my only options are to wax or use an epilator. I have been using the same one for over 5 years now and though it's good, it's never really been great and I find that I still have quite prickly skin afterwards. I have never thought to try one that is able to be used in both wet and dry conditions and after reading that claim that is can also help with skin appearance, I am hooked! I would so love to be able to try this and my legs would too!

20th February, 2019

I have used Epilation for about 10 years, at first it was painful but after about a year there was no more pain and the hairs are very fine now

20th February, 2019

I havent tried epilation but I would love to try The Braun Silk-épil 9 SkinSpa 4-in-1 epilator.

An epilator and cleansing brush in one device sounds perfectly convenient! Please pick me for this trial :)

I’d never tried epilating before but it seems less intimidating than waxing to me lol. I’m very willing to try it because, as stated above, shaving takes WAY too long

Sad but true , I had to Google what epilating was a few weeks ago as a few of my girlfriends were raving about it. Never tried it, sounds really interesting. I shave and it doesn’t do me any favours, hair grows back fast and it is usually quite dark, let’s not forget the dreaded slip and you have a trail of blood following you out the shower door. Would love to try epilating, the claims above sound fantastic!!

20th February, 2019

I’ve used an epilated for over ten years and love the way it last up to 4 weeks, I find your hair after continues use gets finer and more sparse.I really love using an epilater.

20th February, 2019

I usually epilate and love it.

20th February, 2019

I've tried epilation in the past, but haven't since my old epilady died years ago. I've alternated between waxing and shaving but much prefer the longer result of waxing. I'd LOVE to be chosen for this trail as the epilation system is amazing. The pain is more than bearable, and gets easier the more you do it. I'd be keen to know how they've improved the epilation system from twenty-odd years ago!
