Beauty Products - Are you a modern girl?

Every so often (ok, more often than not), when trial products land at BRHQ we can't help but get a little excited.  But I must confess, today's trial product has us a little more excited than usual.  Why?  Because it comes hand in hand with that oh so elusive tagline of being...a Hollywood Secret.

Ok, we all know there are no secrets in LA, but come on, a product used by Madonna, Kate Hudson, Gisele Bundchen, Liv Tyler, Brooke Shields, Tim McGraw, Karolina Kurkova, January Jones, Emily Blunt, Eva Mendes, Eva Longoria, Gucci Westman, Rachel Zoe and dozens more, has to be amazing right?!

So what's all the fuss about?  This all-purpose and all-natural product is based on an ancient Egyptian formula that Cleopatra used to keep her skin radiant and glowing.  It's perfectly safe to use anywhere on your body but luxurious enough to use on your face and for the last twenty years, it's been marketed soley through word of mouth - now that's our kind of recommendation!

Yes, ladies, we're putting Egyptian Magic Skin Cream to the test.  The secret process behind this cream, blends six natural ingredients to create a rich balm which melts into an oil on your skin.  And what's it used for?  Well, how about this as a list of benefits:

  • Dry and sun-damaged skin
  • Rashes
  • Burns
  • Acne scarring
  • Chapped lips
  • Stretch marks
  • Eczema and psoriasis
  • Brittle and damaged hair
  • Bug bites and wound care
  • A night moisturiser
  • Eye cream
  • Makeup primer
  • Shaving balm
  • Hair masque

And the 6 magic ingredients?  Olive Oil, Beeswax, Bee Propolis, Bee Pollen, Royal Jelly, Honey. Every jar is handmade in Texas without parabens, preservatives or chemicals.

Ok, so we think it sounds pretty fabulous, but of course we need a dedicated trial team of great reviewers to put it through it's paces!  Does this sound like you?

Put your hand up below and tell us why you'd love to put this to the test - which of it's many uses appeal to you the most?  And what are your thoughts on traditional beauty products?  Do you tend to go the modern way, favouring products that have been produced using modern technology and science, or do you prefer centuries old recipes?

Can't remember if I posted a comment on this or not so sorry if I've doubled up! I'd love to try this on my scalp dermatitis as I get big sores which get itchy and painful, and also for scarring and wound care- this sounds like a really fab multi purpose product! I'm a bit torn- I love tried and true products as you know they are going to work, but modern science these days is pretty fantastic so I do like to try new things

Anything that says it can combat stretch marks is on my to-try list. I need to get rid of these suckers :(

Sounds interesting. Its one of those ones that the packaging doesn't inspire me to jump, but the promises might :) Look forward to reading about it :D

I'm definitely someone who prefers "modern" products - although I am totally willing to be proven in my stubborn ways! I'm intrigued by this being used as an eye cream and makeup primer!

this is something i have been wanting to try but just haven't seen it around to purchase or read reviews that i feel are true. i think that i would have many uses for it from my dermatitis uneven skin tone. my skin has been very sensitive lately with the pressure of life so would be good to use and replace all the other lotions and potions i have stopped since they seem to irritating it abit

I would love to try this as I suffer from rosacea on my face and have trouble finding products that help it, this product seems to tick so many boxes that it may be my holy grail that I am looking for!

Holy cow, the list of things this is good for is amazing and I could use it for many of them! I am a bit of both guess, there are some age old classics that will always be up there but I'm not opposed to trying some of the fancy new products around as well. I guess traditional more so as they tended to be more natural where modern products are more about how many new chemicals they can fit in a bottle.

Would love to try something this fresh and natural, my skin is dry spotty and just yuck could use a lot of magic

2nd May, 2015

If you've noticed ANY of my posts on BR, I am FOREVER looking for the perfect thing for my poor skin that is freaking me out with its dryness! I would LOVE to review this product because I need a little bit of Egyptian Old School magic in my life. If it's tried and true, I need to give it a go and see if it works for me! Damaged hair, dry skin, acne scars, stretch marks. Throw it at me and I'll throw it on all of these scenarios!

2nd May, 2015

I'd love to try this as a moisturizer as I get quite dry hands etc. I'd also like to use as a night moisturizer

2nd May, 2015

Oh this sounds as magical as Egypt :) there's something said about the ancient times

2nd May, 2015

I chose modern, but that is partially because I haven't really tried much in the way of traditional beauty products. The egyptian magic skin cream sounds amazing though! I'd use it on my dry/brittle hair, my face as a night moisturiser, and on my stomach... I have a MASSIVE scar from my breastbone to below my bellybutton from surgery 8 weeks ago. It also has little dots down the sides from the staples. I'd really, really love to try fade it a bit!

I have seen this on other websites and I would be very keen to trial this product as i'm all for natural products especially skin care and hair ones.
