Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review

I have been using this product almost daily for many years. It takes even the most stubborn makeup off with ease. It isn't heavy or oily and leaves your skin feeling refreshed and clean. I always stock up when countdown has half price sales so it is really affordable!!

Really happy with my purchase I have now finished my first bottle and will be back for more. Effectively takes off makeup and mascara, very gentle on the skin and eyes.

My favourite make up remover! So quick and easy to use! I just put a small amount onto a make up pad and it simply wipes away my make up. Even difficult waterproof mascaras! Although it says there is no need to rinse after use I still like to remove any residue. A little goes a long way which makes this product last so long! I would recommend this to anyone!

This is an affordable micellar water, great at removing makeup though waterproof makeup may take a bit longer. I use this before my cleanser and my skin feels clean and comfortable afterward. This micellar water does sting my eyes if it accidentally gets in, so I usually use specific eye makeup remover for eye makeup.

The bottle is decently sturdy, with a standard flick-open cap and good opening. It doesn't smell the best, pretty chemical-y (no fragrance in the one I purchased) , but it has a standard loose micellar water texture. It doesn't feel greasy, but I would suggest that it's not a great make-up remover if you wear either a decent medium-full coverage foundation, any long wear lipstick, or any sort of mascara.

My method of use involved soaking a cotton pad in the product and alternating between holding the pad still for 5-10 seconds (e.g. over my eyes to try and remove mascara), or sweeping gently but firmly across my face. I was never able to fully remove my full makeup with this product, even trying multiple passes with freshly soaked cotton pads was not enough to remove the foundation and primer from my pores, or the mascara from my lashes. Only if I followed up with a second cleanse did I feel like I'd cleaned my makeup off properly. When I only wore powder or light cover foundation/BB cream, it was OK, and seemed to do the job.

After a while it did begin to irritate my skin, so it's shelved for the time being. If I have friends who don't wear much makeup and don't have sensitive skin, I can see them finding this helpful as a single step makeup remover.
