What is dry shampoo and dry conditioner?

What is dry shampoo and dry conditioner? What are they good for and how do they work? Are they good for your hair or does it dry it out or something?

I haven't heard of dry conditioner but the dry shampoos I've tried are typically in a aerosol type can and you spray it into your roots and rub it in and your hair should feel clean. Or you can use it on clean dry hair to give it a bit of texture and boost. So far I've tried ones that spray white, which is annoying on brown hair as you really have to be careful not to leave any white residue behind. But there are ones for brunettes. The idea of dry shampoo is so you don't have to wash your hair as often. Hope this helps :)

I like the idea of dry shampoo, but wondering if it cleans greasy hair in the same way as a normal shampoo does?

yep its pretty much a product to use inbetween cleans, I love them as I dont shampoo my hair often. Dry shampoo is good for adding volume to, it gets rid of oilyness and makes your hair smell great.

These look great and i think ill have to go and buy one soon, especially for the days where my hair just doesnt behave and in between washes

I'm a big fan of the Batiste dry shampoo for brunettes. It's brown coloured, so no risk of looking like you have dandruff. I have long hair, so my roots get a bit greasy but the rest of my hair will be a bit dry. I use it so i can hold out another day before washing it. So easy and looks nice!

KMS makeover spray is and awesome dry shampoo! I've got reddish brown hair at the moment and even though the spray is white you dont end up with grey/ chalky looking roots :)

Dry shampoo is amazing. It really is a must have for inbetween washes, because lets face it over washing hair isnt good!
