It works but it doesn't heat up well so takes a long time as you can only curl small sections at a time due to the low heat and even then you have to hold it for far longer than other curlers.

Tips: Small sections and allow yourself more time getting ready if using this tool
I was so excited to try this hair curling set, after receiving for a birthday present. I have REALLY thick but straight hair, that struggles to hold a curl. When using this curler I tend to use the smaller size barrel because, once the curls start to drop, it gives me the loser curl look that I like. I think that when used with other products, like hair primer and hair spray, this curler set does a sufficient job at curling my hair, and I manage to make the curls last throughout the day. In comparison to some of my other curlers, it may not hold curls for as long, however, I find the curler itself, easy to work with, which is why I use it so often. I like how there is a clip part, to help hold hair on the barrel, and a plastic end that doesn't get hot, so it is easier to hold. Another feature that I like is the little pick circle that turns white when the curler has heated to a good temperature. I will continue to use this hair curler, as it is working well for me, however one thing that I find annoying, is trying to fit all my hair around the barrel because it is so long! But this is really not an issue of the curler itself!
Tips: Use a heat protection spray and style holding mousse
This is perfect for learning and techniques.
The wands clip into the body of the VS Sassoon. On the body has a bezel that you twist to lock and unlock the wands. The wands have a red dot on them and once it's hot and ready the red dot will disappear. The curls turn out quite nice so it's perfect for learning. (The wands get very hot)
The accessories helps by getting the right shape and style. It also comes with a handy bag to store at curler. I have very long, thick hair and it took a very long time, so I feel it would work better for thin- slightly thick short to medium hair unless you have patience.

I have had this since 2012 and it is still going :-) I only use this as a last resort and just to add curls to the front of my hair or scattered curls. For my long thick hair, I can get a lot twisted around unlike other products, but I have to keep my hair in for more than 2 minutes for it to do anything, as the heat (even on high), in my opinion is not hot enough. So be prepared to sit there a while. I use the twin attachments, as the biggest attachment does not close so you have to hold the end of your hair in place. It is easy to attach and detach, the cord is long and swivels, but that is the only easy part about it. I have given this a 3 / 5, just because I still do use it and it is very handy to have when I want to curl small sections if I am wearing my hair up for example. The price is way too expensive for the job it does, I wouldn't have paid full price on this if I knew it took so long to curl.
Tips: * Use spray to hold the curls in place. * Not for thick hair - it takes too long as the temperature is not hot enough. * Use for scattered curls, not a full-head. * I think this would be awesome for kids or teens as a first curler, not adults.
