Surprisingly impressive

I am someone who is always trying to get rid of excess hair! I was over the mood to finally find a cheap alternative to salon waxing. When purchasing this wax I was very spectacle. Every other supermarket wax I have brought has either burnt me, stuck to my skin or didn't pull any hair off!

There is many great features to this wax. One of the things I loved was that the spatula told you if the wax was too hot or not.

Part of the reason why I hate doing wax by myself is the sticky residue that you have and can't seem to get off your skin afterwards. Not with this wax! It comes off with water!!

The only minus I can this of is that there isn't enough fabric strips in the box.

Tips: Be patient, you may have to keep heating the wax up if you are doing a large area!

Gets the work done.

When I first go my legs waxed I liked the smooth feeling so much that I decided to buy this to try at home. (I didnt have spare $55 for waxing every month)

As the description says, try this if you have enough time because sometimes it does take a while. The wax comes in a pot with heat sensitive stick/spatula and cotton strips all packaged inside a cardbox.

The wax is pretty hard and dark brown. Smells like honey and sugar. You need to zap it in the microwave for a minute or so depending on the microwave voltage and the amount of product in the tub. I made sure my skin was dry (no moisturiser or oil) and the work area was covered with newspaper.

The wax should be like thick runny honey. Always test on wrist for correct temperature. Apply towards the hair growth and before it cools rub the cloth on it to make it stick. Holding the skin taut pull against the hair growth. The strips can be used atleast three times before it stops picking up hair. Might have to use twice in an area depending on the hair type. Although be careful if you have fragile skin. It leaves my legs feeling smooooothhh. I just clean off the residue with warm flannel and apply a rich moisturiser. I used it for my underarms as well. Wont work very well if deodorant is not washed of properly.

The two things I am not happy with is that the wax cools down quickly especially in winter and I have to keep warming it. Also the wax strips never enough. I find that its easier to save the previous boxes strips by washing it in hot soapy water and keeping it for next time. It does clean up nicely but use only for your own personal use. I also cut the strips in half for my underarms.

Its a good product overall and I still have one in my cupboard.

Perfect for a bit of DIY

This is the perfect home wax kit, and has a fabulous price point!

I’ve waxed at home for years and while this isn’t salon quality, it is amazing for what it is and has always been my go-to. This comes with a pack of cotton cloth strips, the wax in a microwaveable plastic container and a wooden applicator with a temperature indicator to show if it’s too hot.

A quick 1 minute in the microwave heats it enough to be perfect for applying (although do less as you go through the product). Make sure you stir well and leave it to sit for a while for the temperature to regulate throughout the entire pottle. Apply the wax going in the same direction as the hair, apply the cloth strip and rub on, and then remove against the hair direction.

Don’t worry if you spill some, this simply washes off in water. Soak the used strips in warm water and wash to use again. The wooden spatula has different angles for leg, underarm and bikini application.

Tips: If you’re prone to oily or sweaty skin, apply a small amount of baby powder to the area before applying the wax - it really helps it stick and grip the hair. If you’re doing knees, toes etc - try and do it in a warm room, and really rub the cloth to warm the skin to help remove it smoothly otherwise it can get tacky and grab the skin and hurt.

A Great Basic Wax

Vent warm wax is a great gentle wax for hair removal! One I have used on and off for years since being a teenager when you are needing a quick and affordable option for waxing.

Comes with a wooden applicator that is temperature sensitive and changes colour on the end to tell you when the wax is to hot for application and also strips to help with wax removal.

I have slightly sensitive skin and find this wax formula is gentle enough that it won't irritate your skin easily. Before using you need to thoroughly look at the direction of your hair growth so it can be applied and removed correctly though so you don't get ingrown hairs or snapping of hairs.

Tips: A better option for people who have had waxing done on them before so they have a basic understanding of how wax application works alongside using the instructions.

Veet warm wax

Easy to use, good for most areas. Very detailed instructions. I found i could only use it on 3 different occasions, after that it would not stick to hair properly.

Tips: I went and got a cheap cotton fabric for the strips, was way cheaper than buying the actual strips.

Veet wax

Used this a couple time on my eyebrows, and loved it! I have quite sensitive skin so was a wee bit nervous cause I've had unpleasant experiences in the past but this didn't irritate my skin at all and didn't hurt a bit!

Nice for a quick brow fix

I use this on my brows when a simple 2 minute plucking session just won't cut it. This is so lovely and gentle on my skin, it smells amazing and it doesn't irritate me at all. I like to get a small amount out that I will need for my brows and heat that up for about 30 seconds and then use small strips to remove the wax. I don't find waxing my brows painful at all and the fact that this is a gentle formula really helps to lessen any stinging sensations afterwards. I highly recommend this for at home.

veet warm wax works!

I hate waxing however this veet warm wax is actually ok. It doesn't seem to cause as much pain when waxing or as many ingrown hairs as other products after. I really like that you can just heat I and use and is easy to get off things if you spill it for some unknown reason :)

Makes waxing much less scary

I used to always shave my legs because I'd been scared that waxing would hurt. Last weekend I saw some of this on sale so I grabbed one and thought oh why not. I love how it automatically detects and regulated the temperature. The actual wax it self felt comfortable to apply and did not hurt an awful lot when I ripped it off. I did manage to drip wax everywhere since it was my first time but thank god I prepared a towel. I found that soaking the towel in hot water over night and then hand washing it gets rid of the wax effortlessly. Not sure how long I'll stay hairless but it seemed to pull the hair out from the roots.
