HATE!

I can't express enough how much I have this product! My mum uses this everyday and it's alright for her not that you notice any difference when she uses it but when I did for a while it made my skin look really oily and it had orange blotches around in random spots. I really just dislike this and would never try it again. I think it's alright for much older skin but not mine.

One of the worst products I have ever used :/

I purchased this a few years ago when I was experimenting with powder products. I loved the idea that this claimed to have multiple purposes and - I will admit I was sucked in by the results on the ads. (Now I am more cynical haha).

At the time this was a MASSIVE expense for me - as I was studying and working part time ($50 was groceries for a week).

Firstly - the brush is a huge waste of time. It shedded like insanity and it felt really rough and coarse on my face. Moreover, the product applied super unevenly with the face brush included and made me look patchy :/

Even though I got the lightest shade it made me look like an oompa loompa. It was awful - I looked like I had streaks of fake tan all over my face.

As well as being too orange, the powder has so much fallout and isn't buttery or soft whatsoever. The pigmentation is fairly high but far too orange for me.

I also loathed the lipgloss - it literally felt like glue on my mouth. My lips kept sticking together and I only wore it twice because I hated the gloopiness and stickiness.

My mum grabbed this off me after I had been telling her how I was going to throw it away, and she uses it daily and likes it. I don't know if it is her skin tone or that she is older or something but it looks ok on her.

For me though, this was easily one of the biggest wastes of money I have ever spent. I would not recommend this to anyone and there is no way I will ever buy another product from Thin Lizzy ever again.

I found sometimes that the most advertised product turns to be the crappiest. I learned my lesson after forking $50 for Proactiv. I probably would have tried this one if my skin hadn't reacted badly and the high pitched voice on the ad didn't help.

Overly Advertised

This is one of those wonderfully advertised products that eventually sucks you in after having your television tell you every day to buy it.

I purchased this a few years ago after finally listening to my Television.

Firstly this is a great product for bronzing, its perfect for when you get a spray tan, you can use it on your face and neck to blend them into your newly tanned body.

But that is all... I wouldn't recommend using this product as a foundation, it has quite high pigmentation and a gawdy orange hue to it, and lots of shimmer so would be no good as a contourer either.

The brush is terrible and malts and no matter how many times you wash it, it still clings to product.

The packaging is great and if you buy the set, it comes with a neat tin, I actually really love the tins that the Thin Lizzy Set comes in, they are handy for so many things, pencil case, make up brushes even keeping your loose tea bags in :)

The other items in the set are nothing to rave about either, the lipgloss is a tacky texture and smells sickly after awhile, the eyeliner is okay, it is a little rough to put on, It doesn't glide on like some eyeliner do, takes a bit to get a good pigment.

Overall not something I would buy again, but if you can get a friend to go halves in buying a set as you do get 2 lots of everything in a set, $25 is not a bad buy.

I hated that they used a high pitched voice for the commercial. I tried it a few times and my skin reacted badly. I have thought to use it as a body bronzer but didn't think it was worth $50 to get a product just for that.

Atta rubbish

This product didnt do one think it said it would. Consistency was good. The smell was good. The brush is really the only thing I liked about it. Coverage is crap (hope im allowed to use thar word). Once applied it didnt stay on for long except the glitter. I havnt used the whole container, as I didnt like how it looked on. Spots were darker than other spots, but in saying this any mark/spot/blemish can syill be seen. Price couldnbe cheaper since it doesnt work. Packaging is ok, could be better, the blue just doesn't suit it. I have normal skin, so this wouldn't add to the crappiness of the product. I wouldn't recommend it to friends, probably a good make for children to plsy with.

Tips: No tips with this product as I can't see how it would ever work.

Thin Lizzy 6 in 1 Professional Powder Set

When Thin Lizzy was first introduced to New Zealand, I was totally amped to try - and so was my family - so we brought ourselves a whole bunch of it as the ads and reviews etc claimed for it to be amazing and have multiple uses.

However, we now regret buying it - me especially.

I found not only is it easy to put on too much and look like an oompa loompa - but also it is hard to tell initially that you even have it on (takes forever to adjust).

It cakes very easily, and has a lot of loose powder/fallout. More of it landed on my top than it did on my face whilst using their brush which accompanied the powder.

The brush was average - but I personally would not use it as my main brush - perhaps only as a spare one for just in case.

I also found the lipgloss which came with the pack to me thick and heavy and not very nice.

Tips: It's best to try avoiding buying this product as it isn't worth the money, but if you decide to, only put on a little bit - even if it seems too light - as it darkens. Tap the brush LOTS before use also.

Glorified bronzer

Thin lizzy 6 in 1 powder set..... what can i say?

Firstly, i dont know how anybody could use this as a foundation, because it does not some in foundation shades, it only comes in bronze shades that would give you a healthy glow but doesnt really even out the skin tone.

Bronzer, Yes it definitely works as a bronzer, no doubt about that,

Blush and highlight. Well no..... it is a bronze shade, and although some blushers do come in bronze colours, Its not much use when the rest of your face is the same colour. Highlight, by highlight do you just mean its shimmery? Cause yes its shimmery but its not what i would consider a highlight.

Eyeshadow, Yeah why not, it works, you have to pack a bit of product on but it works good enough. I prefer having more than one colour on the eye though so not for me.

Lipstick, Yes you can apply the powder to your lips and then put a gloss over it

I honestly think its just a glorified bronzer, and its not worth the money.

Now, the dual ended eyeliner isnt bad, but it isnt the best eyeliner ive ever used either.

The brush isnt bad either, but its not amazing, and definitely not worth the price they tell you on the infomercials.

And lastly, that damn lipgloss. I hate this lipgloss with a passion. It has to be the thickest, stickiest lipgloss i have ever used in my whole life. The smell is nice, but that is the only good thing about it.

Would i repurchase, No, would i recommend to my friends, Hell no, did it do what it said it would do? Not in my oppinion. Is this product worth the money..... NO! there are tons of better products, Australis does a nice trio with a blush bronzer and face powder in it and that is only $18 and the bronzer is similar if not better than thin lizzys.

Yeah I think the 6-in-1 claims is pushing it. Great in depth review.

Not my fav

The lightest shade is very dark on me & looked ridiculous when used as a face framer. On someone with such pale skin, I would not recommend this stuff. I had to give it away. Very disappointed.

Tips: Try a tester if possible-even lightest shade is very dark

thin lizzy....not for me

I had great hopes when I purchased this. I was hoping it would be a quick easy make up fix ( Hopefully cutting both time and products needed). Sadly even the light shade was far too dark for me ( i ended up looking like an Oompah loompah from Willy Wonka). The brush that is included with it didnt blend the powder at all and i thought the powder felt really cakey on my skin. I think perhaps someone with slightly darker skin than i would be able to use it as a contour or bronzer but i definatly do not feel that this lives up to the claims you see on T.V.

Tips: Go into a store where you can have this applied so you can trial it. Then go outside and make sure it looks ok in natural light before buying

So over-rated!

I got sucked into buying this product a few years back and was so disappointed! There are so many more products out there that are better than this. For starters, I found that I had to use several coats to get a decent coverage and worst of all, if you drop this product - it will break! I use a MAC bronzer and although the cost is greater, it is by far a better product.
