Thin Lizzy has bismuth oxychloride in their products. It is a cheap filler which is bad for your skin and a lot of people are allergic to including me. I have irritated skin and break out really bad when I use their products.

Made me orange!

Made my skin orange and dry, I was using the 'light' shade and only used it sparingly and I was extremely disappointed with the results. This is definitely not a 6 in 1 make-up as it claims, perhaps it could be used as a bronzer for your legs, but I would not recommend using this on your face and looking like you got a horrible fake tan. I must say though the thin lizzy POWDER FOUNDATION (that is the pink compact) is amazing - especially when put over a liquid foundation for a flawless look! The 6 in 1, is a waste of money, and highly over rated.

This is one of the worst foundation ive ever seen

This is one of the worst foundation ive ever come across. It comes in two shades; Light and dark. The ads say it "works for pale skin as it adds a tan" but this makes you more orange than tan. I will never use this on my face as a foundation because I WILL look like an oompa loompa. It can however be used quiet nicely as a bronzer and a bronzer alone.

This is promoted as the best thing for everyone but seriously doesn't work for pale people like me. Its horribly sparkly. Natural glow was a far superior product. The only other positive is the brush, it is good quality and a good contouring blush brush.

orange

I only ever use this for my body as it makes me look orange. I bought this after all the hype and sadly it has sat in my makeup drawer for a year very unused (Apart from a Halloween party where I went as Snooki).

Yep that would be perfect for imitating her fake tan. She would be perfect as the face of Thin Lizzy.

Lizzy need to sort her issues out

Seriously though, I can't say enough how much I DISLIKE this product. The powder itself is soooo bad for your skin. When I was in beauty school we did some tests with it. Crushing the powder between your fingers leaves this horribly greasy residue behind and to think...that greasy residue was going on my face. It's no wonder this product broke me out like craaaazy. Plus....ORANGE MUCH. Not only was it orange and horribly "brick" toned, it also shimmered slightly making my face look dirty and sweaty.

Tips: DON'T DO IT.

Yes Thin Lizzy products are full of bismuth oxychloride which is a cheap filler. My face always reacts to that and each time after I tried this product I broke out. Definitely not worth $50.

Orange. Everything Orange.

If I could, I would give this no stars. I used the barest minimal amount ever and I turned into an orange oompa. I'm not an ivory kinda person, I have colour to me, but this actually turns orange even with the slightest amount. For the first couple of minutes it looks like you haven't put any on, then you look back in the mirror and ORANGE. I tried to use this as a bronzer, but orange. Just orange. I'm honestly disgusted by this and try to tell everyone I know to not go there.

Same here. My face reacts really badly to Thin Lizzy products. You pay $50 and you get a product with bismuth oxychloride, cheap filler which causes allergic reactions and break outs.

Might work for others

This is a product that is sold to many women with high expectations... sadly for me it didn't deliver. I had tried it in a demonstration and thought it looked lovely... made my purchase and went home; what happened when I left the store? well you might say that in the cold light of day, rather than incandescent lighting, my face looked like an oompa loompa! Colour me un-impressed. I tried a few times at home with out being heavy handed but it just didn't work for me at all. My sister inlaw had better luck with it so she took it off my hands. the texture was another thing I didn't like about it... it made my face itch, and it was very drying for me as well.

Tips: Try it in-store then walk outside and check it a few times to be sure

Thanks for highlighting (ahh, punny!) the need to check makeup under several forms of lighting.

Too shimmery.

This stuff is dreadful as a foundation, but would make a good bronzer. Expensive considering it's not a high-end brand, and the product quality is not good.

Thin Lizzy 6 in 1 Professional Powder Set

When Thin Lizzy was first introduced to New Zealand, I was totally amped to try - and so was my family - so we brought ourselves a whole bunch of it as the ads and reviews etc claimed for it to be amazing and have multiple uses.

However, we now regret buying it - me especially.

I found not only is it easy to put on too much and look like an oompa loompa - but also it is hard to tell initially that you even have it on (takes forever to adjust).

It cakes very easily, and has a lot of loose powder/fallout. More of it landed on my top than it did on my face whilst using their brush which accompanied the powder.

The brush was average - but I personally would not use it as my main brush - perhaps only as a spare one for just in case.

I also found the lipgloss which came with the pack to me thick and heavy and not very nice.

Tips: It's best to try avoiding buying this product as it isn't worth the money, but if you decide to, only put on a little bit - even if it seems too light - as it darkens. Tap the brush LOTS before use also.

6 in 1 = pushing it

I recieved this in a goody bag a few years ago and I found it difficult to use the six ways it states. I would not purchase it or use it on my own accord.

The "light" kit made me feel orange and did not provide much coverage if any, just added colour. The lipgloss was VERY sticky and gloopy. The eyeliner was okay. The mineral foundation by Thin Lizzy is a MUCH better choice and I believe the mineral powder is the product to buy if you're purchasing thin lizzy.

Tips: Go towards the mineral foundation by thin lizzy

I understand! The informercials just don't convince me! I know you said the thin lizzy products react badly with you, but maybe try their mineral foundation if you haven't already. You may be pleasantly surprised!

I tried it as well and my skin reacts badly to Thin Lizzy products. Even with skin that has a yellow undertone it was too orange and the high pitched voice on the commercial didn't make me want to buy the product.
