Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Anti Ageing Review

I wouldn't use this again.. whilst I found it light and easy to apply, the 3rd day in my skin started to breakout. I don't normally have a problem at all with breakouts even around that time of the month. Stopped using the product and went back to my Nivea and skin cleared up no problem

I used this product for 7 Days, this product was not suitable for me, due to the work I do, so after only 7 days, it's hard to know if the product would be more successful on someone who is able to use it every day. The Cream felt nice on my skin, and appeared to moisturise my skin nicely. The reason this product is not suitable for me, is that I work Outdoors and wearing this on my face, meant that on Hot Sunny Days when I wiped the Perspiration off my face, the BB Cream came off too. And the same situation when I'm working in the rain. I did like the Colouring of the BB Cream, and for someone who has an Office/Shop Job this would be very suitable to wear as it gives the appearance that you have Foundation on. Yes it covers Blemishes, due to it being Brown Foundation like substance. It did feel nice on my skin, and didn't really have any Fragrance to it. I feel I didn't use it for long enough to find out if it reduced my wrinkles or not, No difference noticed in 7 days anyway. It says it contains Sunscreen, but no good for me as I kept wiping it off my face. I do wear Sunscreen everyday, and this is much easier to re-apply after wiping my face, than the BB Cream. Yes I would recommend it to my friends, as some of them do wear make-up daily, and it may be more suitable for them. And it did feel and look nice, once it was on.

I was pleased to have the opportunity to review this BB cream as I have never used a BB cream before. I have used anti aging products and daily moisturisers with UV protection and was hoping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and smooth out any uneven skin tone.

The outer packaging wouldn't grab my attention from the store shelf but the tube was easy to use and store.

I was surprised by the thickness and dark colour of the "light" variant I had chosen but I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was easy to apply how well the colour blended in. The cream "disappeared" on application.

Immediately after applying it I could feel a tingling sensation that lasted a few minutes (I hope this was just the miracle trying to occur! Certainly there was no long lasting problem or irritation).

My skin felt smooth after application but there was a slight tackiness and I was not keen on the product's smell.

I liked the idea of the UV protection and was pleased how easily it blended into my skin but sadly neither myself or my partner could really see any significant difference in the appearance of fine lines or skin tone after application.

This is the first time I have ever used a bb cream before so I was quite excited to try it out.

Firstly a few things about the product: The consistency I found very thick and didn’t apply very easily to my skin, I can’t say the smell was overly nice but it also wasn’t terrible - it does disappear pretty quickly on application. I found the coverage to light for my personal liking and even applied a second layer to see if I could build up the coverage a bit more but it just appeared blotchy on my skin the more I applied. I tried a couple of ways to apply it from using my hands to using a beauty blender but I still wasn’t keen on the coverage or how it sat or looked on my skin. Once applied I didn’t like how it felt on my skin as it felt oily and gave me a shine which I am not keen on – I prefer a matte look for me as my skin is slightly on the oilier side of combination skin.

Now for the nitty gritty of the application: I used a couple of ways how I applied it like I mentioned above but I also tried using a primer underneath, then a primer and used a powder on top all of which I still didn’t like. Eventually I decided to use it as a primer underneath my colour stay foundation, BINGO! This was much better it then began to do what it said it was to do, it added extra moisture to my mature skin, keeping my face hydrated for longer, it even gave a slight extra bit of coverage on my hormonal spots I have around my neck, blurring them a little without having to use concealer as well and lessened the look of my pores making them appear smaller. I won’t be purchasing this particular bb cream again but I may purchase another brand to compare them with this one.

A lot of women love BB creams and Garnier is no exception but I am yet to be convinced. Perhaps it is because I have loved using good coverage foundations for many years and find anything less just not enough!

I gave the product a good go though! It's easy to apply using just your fingers and has a light to medium consistency. It applies smoothly and I found the light shade ok for my skin tone (light to medium). The coverage just wasn't enough for me and I found myself just wanting to layer more on!

The product claims to reduce wrinkles and firm skin but I didn't notice any significant difference in the short time period that I had to trial. It also states "for instantly flawless, glowing skin" which was not the case for me. I found it greasy and not thick enough to produce a flawless result.

The packaging is eye catching and it has a pleasant fragrance and affordable price, so it would definitely appeal to many women. I feel that I could recommend it to people as a summer tinted moisturiser but I won't be raving about it's effectiveness.

I guess it's a personal preference but I will be going back to more effective long lasting foundations for a flawless finish.

I am a regular user of the normal version in this range and really like it so figured I could trust the anti-aging one too. I am so glad this product doesn't cost much because after using it three times I have chucked it away. The product goes on okay but made my face look orange (I used the light shade). Not sure why as I haven't had a problem with the normal version making my face orange.

The anti-aging version is slightly thicker than the other versions and gives more coverage on the skin. I can't say anything about the anti-aging properties and whether they actually work (I didn't use it long enough) but overall I didn't find this any more moisturising than the normal BB Cream.

I've used this product maybe 3 times so far under my make up.. Unfortunately it gave my foundation a more of a darker tone. it alone is fine if you don't have much blemishes but if your looking for a good enough coverage I wouldn't recommend this. It's really nice as a moisturizer on it own but combined with other products it doesn't do any justice.. sorry.

I didn't particularly like this product due to the fact that they don't have a wide enough selection of shades. I am quite fare and the light one was still too orange for me. I also felt like it was really greasy and oily.I would consider trying this product again if they offered a wider range of shades and if it was made to be less greasy looking.

The first time I tried this BB Cream, I was in love! I'm a BB addict so when a new one catches my eye I have to try it. When I first used this I was pleasantly suprised by the covereage since it was a very liquidy product. It gave me a medium coverage, great for covering up the small amount of redness I have a lightly covered my freckles. I found the finish was beautiful, almost didn't need to powder once it set. I would just lightly powder through the T zone and I was ready to go. It felt light, like I wasnt wearing anything, which is just what I want in a BB cream.

After about a week of daily use, I really started to notice that after about an hour of wear I would get incredibly shiny and oily. The product started to wear off my skin at the slightest touch. Extra powder just made it look cakey which accentuated any fine lines. The colouring was also very strange, it went on fine but after 30mins or so my skin was extremely orange toned.

I have no idea what changed after that first week of wear but my skin did not like it. I didn't break out at all fortunatley, but it was almost as though it made my skin produce more oil and perhaps that caused the BB cream to oxidise?

It was a real shame, I ended up giving this to my mum who absolutely loves it and it looks flawless on her. I think this may be a great product on someone who has a medium skin tone, that has a yellow under tone and perhaps a more drier skin type.

I brought this after all the hype but sadly It didn't measure up. My skin is very sensitive and prone to breakouts and this didn't do much for me. It's too thick for one and not easy to apply. I wouldn't buy it again. Shame though cause if it did what it said would be awesome.
