SKIN by ecostore Hydrating Moisturiser Review

This omega rich moisturiser is just enough for my dry skin. It absorbs easily and leaves my skin feeling ready for the day. Its conviently packaged in a pump so you can get out exactly the right amount and no waste.

The main active ingredients are New Zealand Seaweed, Grapeseed and Harekeke Extracts and Kiwifruit Seed and Jojoba Oil. It promotes skin elasticity. It also leaves skin feeling soft and suitably hydrated.

I love that I can purchase from my local supermarket and that it doesn't cost the earth for a really lovely product. The smell is botanical, kind of plantlike crossed with ocean. Once its absorbed into the skin the products fragrance is unnoticeable so it doesn't interfere with other beauty products or perfume you may be wearing.

I think this product really delivers - I feel confident that my skin is properly hydrated, nourished and protected.

I really am looking forward to seeing and trying anything new coming this way from Ecostore. I believe in using amazing products, cruelty free, buying New Zealand Made and New Zealand Ingredients.

Great product by ecostore. The packaging makes it look natural. The moisturiser comes out in a nice thin, smooth texture. The smell is great, a nice earthy smell. Once applied on your face, it made my face real tight and really went into my pores. Ensure you dont use too much, would i probably did, as it spreads all over your face quite easily.

I really like the packaging, especially the box design, and a bonus that the moisturiser is in a 50 ml pump, making it easy for quick use in the morning. Ingredients and description on box is really good. However that is where my good review stops. I don't usually react to skin care. The first morning after using, I woke up with very small bumps on my forehead. My skin felt extremely tight immediately after, the kind of tight where you've had the moisture sucked out of your pores, not tight as in firming. I didn't like the smell of this at all, it lingered all day, even though I had other products on. My skin felt dry-tight all day. I also found it made my BB Cream apply less easily, almost like the moisturise was gripping to my skin. After using again that night, I developed more bumps around my cheeks and chin, so stopped using immediately and gave it a 48 hr break. When I tried it again, I added my normal serum under, and this alleviated the extreme tight feeling, however it was still present, and my forehead came up with a few little bumps still. There are some great natural ingredients, and I couldn't see anything in the ingredient list that would have been a normal chemical irritant.

nb: I tried this in conjunction with 2 other products in the range, and on it's own, just to be sure it wasn't the other products that were irritating me.

I love the look of this product (along with the whole range). The pump make it great for travel and mess free. The fragrance is earthy but pleasant and the cream goes on nicely without any greasiness. It hydrated my skin well without leaving any residue so I was able to apply makeup within minutes. Used with the other products in the range this is an eco friendly and "face friendly" combination.

I don't tend to suffer from dry skin on my face but this winter, my legs, knees and feet have been very very dry and flaky (gross I know!) but this was such a dream to use on those areas. This has a really nice natural fragrance and is really pleasant. My only downside was that I wish that this was as natural as it smelt!

This item comes in a 50ml pump bottle and requires a couple of pumps to produce a sufficient coverage. Unfortunately the scent was a little off putting for me.

The Hydrating Moisuturiser felt light and yet moisturising enough for day wear although I don't feel it has the active ingredients my aging skin requires now.

Would recommmend to friends in a younger age bracket, a great product at an affordable price point to nourish younger skin.

I have sensitive skin + eczema and this moisturiser both dried out my face and left it irritated and red. After having a look at the ingredients I'm guessing it could be from the fragrances (even though they're "natural") and/or the random oils. The smell of this moisturiser is quite strong and the consistency is quite thin, so I was a bit skeptical when I tried it out. Unfortunately it's not for me and for anyone with sensitive skin I would recommend a simple fragrance free moisturiser instead.

I really looked forward to applying this product in the morning! I love that it comes in an easy to hold pump applicator bottle which makes it quick and easy to apply in the mornings. The hydration was just right and made a great base under my foundation. The fragrance was light and refreshing and added to that morning 'wake up' clean feeling to get on with your day. I enjoyed the clean white packaging and that the product contains extract of native plants. I would recommend this product to those with sensitive skin as I had no irritation or redness upon use and my skin felt comfortable and soothed all day.

My daughter gave me this and I quite like it. You can use morning or evening. Jammed full of lovely ingredients such as harakeke, grapeseed oil and seaweed, it leaves my summer skin feeling soft and moisturised. A tan colour, the lotion like moisturiser comes in a pump bottle. I find that two pumps are enough to cover my face and neck. The smell is a bit odd...it reminds me of old school calamine lotion. A kind of medicinal smell, but i think that is the harakeke as Living Nature products also have this as an ingredient, and a similar smell. My skin is quite sensitive but doesn't react to this at all. Not enough for my skin for winter, but sweet for summer.

I have used this moisturizer for a week now along with the cleanser and night cream. I was very eager to try this range, summer is nearly upon us and my skin soon will be screaming for added moisture. Initially, I love the clean and simplistic design. The bottle dispensed the perfect amount of product - a relief as usually I get too much or too little. The product went on smooth and didn't upset my skin at all :) Unfortunately, I was not a fan of the smell at all. It was almost a "sterile" smell instead of the normal luxury/pampering. I also felt that my skin had a "film" over it following application. Maybe this would be something i could get used to? This moistuirser is definitely hydrating so yes, it lives up to the claim..just not my cup of tea I'm afraid
