Garnier Organics Cornflower Micellar Water

The Garnier Organics Cornflower Micellar Water comes in a very appealing mint green packaging with clear and very informative labelling. It outlines all the ingredients and there sources. I love the fact that all the ingredients are vegan. The smell of the water is clean and fresh. I used to remove my makeup that I had on all day and was able to remove it all by using approximately 1-2 tablespoons worth on a cotton make up wipe. It left my skin feeling clean, smooth and fresh. Will definitely be using and buying again.

Garnier Organics Cornflower Micellar Water

I am loving how so many well known brands are evolving and trying to meet the increasing customer demands for more natural products so it was pretty exciting to see Garnier has developed some organic skincare products. Upon application, this product instantly soothed my sensitive, reactive skin. The product felt fresh and refreshing. I thought I had removed all traces of makeup on one occasion, but this product found more! I prefer to remove my makeup with an oil but this could be justified as an extra step just to ensure my skin is completely makeup free. This product definitely does what it claims - removes makeup and leaves no residue and is suitable for sensitive skin. A little goes a long way and the bottle is such a generous size so I feel like it’s great value for money. I will definitely keep it in mind!

Tips: Best applied with cotton pads as suggested - you can even give your face a little massage when applying this way.

Ticks all the boxes - but still not for me

I was lucky enough to receive this to review. I haven’t had completely favourable experiences with Garnier in the past but given the rate at which I use Micellar water I thought that this was worth a go.

I really like the container - 400ml is a chunky size bottle for a micellar water. I like that this is vegan - although I would hope that most micellar waters would be. Particularly like that this has soothing cornflower and is for sensitive skin as my skin can be quite sensitive.

I have enjoyed using this and it does what I would expect. It effectively removes my makeup including stubborn mascara. I haven’t had any issues with my skin while using this so I believe the claims of it being good for all skin types. It also didn’t dry out my skin which I really appreciated.

As I mention in quite a few of my reviews I am really sensitive to smells. Therefore despite all the reasons I like this product as above I won’t be repurchasing this. I find the smell quite medicinal and really can’t enjoy it. I will use the bottle up - but I won’t repurchase.

If you aren’t as sensitive to smell as I am I would recommend.

Good review, I'm not one for medicinal scents, so at least I know now not to give this a go!

Value For Money

So glad the brand is CF! Now I will buy products again. This is the first one I picked up on sale for $6. 400ml bottle this is going to last me months! Attractive packaging, don't need to use much. Great for morning cleansing. Is quite scented, but I really enjoy it. May be too much for people who don't like scented face products. No residue left on the skin. I have to say I am rather surprised by how much I like this. I had tried a couple of other skin care products in this range and didn't like them. This would have to be the best. Very happy with this, would definitely repurchase.

Non drying and light texture.

I have used a few different Micellar water before and have mixed feelings about them due to what ingredients are in them. This is vegan and made using organic cornflower water and organic barley water. It breakdowns the rest of the ingredients on the back of the enormous 400ml bottle. They are a bit vague about the source of fragrance used. They simply state from natural origins. What does that mean? It also contains linalool which can cause skin irritations for people.   It has a fairly pleasent smell although I'm not a huge fan of fragrance in skincare. It has a very light texture. It basically looks and feels like water. To use I soaked a few cottonwool balls and gentle swiped across my eyes. No rubbing necessary. It removed my eyemake up which consisted of eyeliner, regular non-waterproof mascara and eyeshadow. One thing I like about this Micellar water is it doesn't leave an oily film on your skin. So it leaves your skin feeling like skin afterwards. Unfortunately some did get into my eye and it did sting until I washed my eye out with water.

While it did remove my eye make up I'm still not convinced it's any better than my regular cleanser so unlikely to purchase in the future.

Tips: Try not to get any in your eyes.

Great for sensitive skin

I've been a long time user of Micellar Water, it's great when you've had a long night but you know you need to remove your makeup. This product is great if you have sensitive skin, I found it really gentle and left my skin feeling calm and hydrated. The only con to this is that if you were heavy duty makeup i.e. full coverage foundation and waterproof mascara, this isn't the greatest at removing everything at one go. I'd say give it a go, it's affordable and generally works.

Tips: Soak cotton pads in this stuff and lay it over your eyes for a bit before removing heavy duty mascara. It'll help to break down the mascara.

Better than original

I have been using this micellar water for about 3 months now and I have tried many different micellar waters in the past, including the OG pink bottle of micellar water by Garnier, and i find this to be the best. The smell I admit, is not the best, but if you can get past that, the actual usage for this micellar water is amazing. I used it to wipe off my black smokey eye and in basically one swipe most of it was gone. Now don't expect this to be a miracle worker, you will have to go in and get rid of any further residue especially for black eye makeup. I do follow up with cleansing my face afterwards, but I notice on my 2nd cleanse there is little to no residue of makeup left on my face.

Tips: Don't douse your whole cotton pad in micellar water, just use half the amount as it will spread around easily

Good but not the best!

As a big fan of the other Micellar Water's Garnier has done, I decided to give this a try. The product comes packaged beautifully in a tall green tined bottle with a beautiful image of blue flowers on the front. I do enjoy the packaging as it looks nice on my vanity. The micellar water has a strong fragrance, so it's not for you if you, if you are not a fan but I do enjoy the smell. The fragrance is a strong botanical, almost aromatherapy like scent. I am not a fan of the lid of this product as it seems to squirt out way too much product at once, so I am burning through this micellar water at a much faster rate than the others I normally get. This does the job and removes make up, but I find it doesn't remove eye make-up very quickly, especially compared to the other Garnier micellar waters. It seems to just absorb very quickly into my cotton round so I have to rub at my face more to get makeup off unfortunately. I do like that this is vegan and organic (although I'd assume regular micellar water should surely be vegan anyway). Overall, this does remove makeup, and has a fun fragrance, but it definitely isn't the best make up remover Garnier makes, and I'd rather just stick to their classic Micellar Water.

A nice-smelling micellar water

I received this as part of a trial team. I've used many of the Garnier micellar waters before, grabbing the OG when it first launched and even reaching for the milky micellar cleanser.

This wasn't much different - I didn't find it was amazing compared to the others. It smelt nice and didn't irritate my eyes, but that was the only major difference I've had with this.

I'll continue to use it up but I wouldn't repurchase. I do like how it is formulated with organic ingredients but as micellar water is mostly water, I'm not extremely worried that this is a non-natural product anyway.

It's a nice micellar water if you want a floral-scented one.

Tips: I always double-cleanse, so this is a great first step before using a normal face wash.

Not bad, just a little 'not me' in all categories.

I received this to trial via Beauty Review. I've used the regular Garnier Micellar Water a lot, and love the Mecca one, which is rose and cornflower, so was excited to try this.

First impressions - the bottle is huge. 400 ml is a really decent size for the price point. I love that the cap a) is removeable and b) features a dispenser that is large enough to get a cotton bud into - I find i waste product if I have to tip it onto a cotton bud. The packaging is heavy green plastic, with an image of a cornflower - which I guess ties in visually with the 'organic' claims. The word 'organic/s' appears 3x just on the front labelling, making it pretty clear that that is the angle they're pushing with this.

The liquid itself is clear and thin, just like any other micellar water I have tried.

The scent is overpoweringly floral - it's too much for a product that claims to be soothing. At first sniff I nearly didn't use it, and definitely wouldn't have purchased it.

However, I'd been sent it to try, so try it I did.

I double cleanse my face, so tried this in step one (make up removal) a couple nights, step two (final cleanse) a couple of nights, and also tried it as an eye makeup remover, brush cleaner and on a cotton bud to tidy my eye makeup one day.

Makeup removal - is was surprisingly effective for this. I wet a cotton pad with the product and removed my makeup, then did a second pass and the cotton pad was virtually clean even before my second cleansing. However, it did feel like it was a little harsh, and I much prefer my usual oil based makeup removers. This felt a little intense.

Second cleansing - again, this was effective but felt a little intense, and when I sprayed my face with the facial spray i'm using atm it felt a little sensitive. Of the two, I probably prefer it as a makeup remover followed by a cleanser, but it wouldn't be my first choice for either.

Eye Makeup removal - effective, but I hated it. I intentionally did heavy makeup one day to test it, and while it got all the makeup off efficiently from my lids, it smeared under my eyes, dragged on my eyelids and the scent was too much.

As a makeup tidying tool - love it for this - you can stick a cotton bud in the bottle very easily, and tidy any eye makeup errors. In those small quantities the scent is fine, and it works well.

As a brush cleaner - effective but the scent of course transfers to brushes, which gets a bit much after a while.

Overall, I'll use the bottle, but am not likely to repurchase as the scent and the 'too much-ness' of this puts me off a little.

My skin is combination, tending oilier over summer, and this wasn't stripping - in fact the balance of my skin was nice all week using this - but because my skin was a little sensitive after full face and eye use I feel like this is too strong for my skin.

Tips: Do as I've done and try it in multiple ways, if you have it to try. It behaves slightly differently for each use.
