L'Oréal Paris Revitalift Day Cream SPF 15
The actual product I received was SPF 30....which I think is Great! Because the one thing I always forget to do is apply sunscreen every day and I end up relying on my foundation affording some protection.
The day cream is thick and luxurious to the touch with a pleasant fragrance. There is a surprising amount in the 50 ml pot. I have used this most days of the trial and have found that is absorbs quickly and makes a nice base to a foundation.
It is difficult to see if my wrinkles/laugh lines have really reduced but overall my skin is more hydrated and plumper with a better look to my face all day.
LOréal Paris Revitalift Night Cream
I have used this product most nights of the review. A thick cream with pleasant aroma that absorbs into the skin quickly - none left on your pillow each night.
My skin is a combination of dry areas and oily areas and past night creams I have used long term in conjunction with a day cream, have caused breakouts. Not with this product!
The dry patches on my face have disappeared and my neck is noticeably firmer. So I really do believe the ingredients are actively working overnight to regenerate and firm.
LOréal Paris Revitalift Eye Cream
This cream is of a lighter texture than the Day and Night cream. A slight aroma and very nice to dab around the eye contour area. Almost a cooling effect .....akin to popping cucumber slices around that area.
Not toxic smelling or feeling at all - definitely doesn't make your eyes water and I guess this is because it is Ophthalmologically Tested .....something to do with eyes and a mighty long word.
This cream has moisturised this delicate area and I do believe there is a new plumpness as a result.
A much smaller jar but a little goes a long way.
LOréal Paris Revitalift - Regime as a Whole
A privilege to trial these products as a set. At the price mark they are ($33.99 per item) I would definitely not be purchasing all three as this would be out of my budget.
If I was to purchase only one, it would be the Day cream. This is mainly because the one gap in my daily regime is remembering to put suncream on first. With built in SPF 30, I can be assured I am protected.
In undertaking this review, I have defiantly been using more moisturiser overall than I usually would and I was concerned that this would cause breakouts to my 49 year old skin, which has occurred in the past with some moisturisers and face masks. But no problems - thank you L'Oreal.
I recommend all three products. As a regime you definitely see an improvement in skin texture, plumpness and firmness, particularly on the neck area. I think a reduction in the look of wrinkles would come over long term usage.
Firstly, thank you for selecting me to trial this regime. I was super excited to try out each of the products over the course of the last few weeks.
The outer packaging is where all the fine print is located. And there is a lot of it. There you can find everything you would want to know about the products right there on the box. The claims are in my experience well based. The formula of each of the creams is non-greasy, non-sticky, despite being of a thick consistency. I felt they melted into my skin leaving it smoothed, hydrated and after a few days my skin tone seemed more youthful and even. The opaque glass tubs have minimal information on them apart from a colour swatch to indicate the difference between day and night creams. The tub size is generous as only a small amount is required per application.
I am not sure how it works on wrinkles as i still don't have any at 37 (touch wood). But what I can say is each of the products smells and performs differently and is for different purposes.
The day formulation is SPF30 and the scent throws me back to my childhood when my mum used the (original formulation) oil of olay cream daily. I find the sweet powdery, slightly floral scent and the light apricot colour to be a memory match! It is so lovely and comforting in some old school way. The results were as to be expected. It's a moisturiser, not a magic 'grow a unicorn horm' potion, just a moisturiser, but a very good one if you like thick cream moisturisers.
The night cream has a pleasant scent like fresh clean linen. The consistency, like the day cream, is thick and the colour of the cream is white. I find with each of these creams only a small amount is required. I always seem to apply way too much.
The eye cream has a scent of cucumber and mint, is it uplifting and has a slightly less thickness to its consistency than the other two products. I am not sure if the eyecream did anything for me, I didn't notice any changes.
Overall I liked each of the products. They felt pampering and luscious on my skin. The condition of my combination skin (usually ash dry cheeks, oily T-zone, and 'hedge your bets' around the eyes) seemed well balanced in hydration with the night and day creams. I did have a few break outs with it though, I can't wholly attribute my breakouts to the cream itself, it was probably the change in regime that caused my skin the fright.
If you like thick heavy cream moisturisers then this regime is for you. Personally I love them and will definitely use them again.
