Carmex lip balm contains a unique blend of ingredients, including natural moisturisers such as cocoa butter and lanolin. These and other emollients give you healthy-looking lips by moistening and preventing dryness and chapping associated with the effects of the environment.

Carmex helps to soothe, moisturise and relieve dry, chapped lips caused by the elements. Apply Carmex liberally and evenly as often as necessary throughout the day.

Carmex contains camphor and menthol. These ingredients give Carmex a cooling effect and soothe rough, chapped lips caused by environmental factors – encouraging a healthy appearance that feels as good as it looks.

Available in a jar, tube or stick.

Best Balm.

I've had a rocky road with balms. Mostly, in fact always, I find they tend to dry my lips and I end up applying more and more and my lips become drier and drier until I give up and my lips return to normal. Not so with Carmex! Carmex went on easily and I loved how it tingled a little on the lips. Most importantly it moisturised without eventually drying - which makes me happy as now I can wear a tinted lip balm one day and although it'll make my lips a little dry the next day I apply Carmex and they're good as gold again. Carmex for the WIN!

Dry lips be-gone!

Got this as a freebie so didn't really have high expectations for it. So needless to say I was pleasantly surprised! Cracked this open one day when I woke up with dry lips. Used this balm for the rest of the day and the next morning I woke up and my lips were normal again! Needless to say I did jump on healing the dryness before it got too bad - but in the past using just normal balms I have found my lips continue to become dry. This product cure the dryness right up.

It feels kind of tingly when you put it on and is quite cooling on your lips, but there is no overpowering scent or taste and it leaves your lips feeling nice and moisturised. Great moisturising lip balm!

My Tube Broke

That sounds naughtier than I inteded, but about a month in to using this paticular balm, a slit appeared at the base. Now i'm not paticularly carefuly with my possessions, so is this my fault and not a design flaw, possibly, fortunately nothing has leaked out of it, and i'm not too fussed about the hygenic-ness of having a slightly open container. But some of you may be. So I am just warning what may happen. Otherwise - this is comparable to my Holy Grail Blistex. I really like the applicator on this type. I have the tub also, but the tube is definately preferred.

Tips: I'm unsure how easy it is going to be to get out when i get down to the scraps, I do like that you can tell in normal balms or tubs, this however you can't, so I just have to trust I am getting all the product out which bothers me a little.

Nice, bright and compact

I have this in the little jar and think its really cute and compact. I love the bright yellow they have used as it stands out against some of the other lip balms out there on the market. So, my first impression of this is that I love the texture, not too thick and not too thin. I love the scent/fragrance of this, as it reminds me of Vicks Vapour Rub due to the menthol ingredient in it. However, after I've had it on for awhile though, it starts to feel a bit gluggy, although it doesn't look gluggy, it feels like it is, I guess its similar to Vaseline. It definitely leaves your lips nice and moisturised, so no complaints there, for me, but I've given it 4 stars due to the texture of it after its been on awhile. Other than that I really like it.

Tips: If you don't like the texture of Vaseline on your lips, then this product may not be the one for you.

Carmex

Lipbalm is one of the things i'm changing up all the time. I never have chapped lips but I like my lips moisturised and non-sticky afterwards. Carmex in the tube made my lips to glossy which I didn't like. But I definitely do like Carmex in the pot and would recommend this one over the other two types. The thicker balm made my lips feel like they were being properly cared for which I loved.

Good to know that the pot is a slightly different balm. I have just discovered carmex and love it. But am not a huge fan if how shiny it is. So I might give the pot a whirl too :)

Stung my lips. OUCH.

I tried the cherry version of this lip balm and found that alongside it being a revolting tasting lip balm that some how snuck onto my tongue without my knowledge, it also stung my lips horribly. I have sensitive lips and only use lip balms that I know don't react with me, I thought i'd give this one a go, but now it's just sulking in my bathroom never to be used again. DON'T use this this lip balm if you occasionally get a reaction to some products OR if you just don't fancy a horrible tasting balm!

Tips: Try using Lucas' papaw ointment instead, it's natural so doesn't react with my lips, and its got an average taste.

Mix of the good and the bad

I had heard a lot about this product, but frankly I was disappointed by it. Menthol and Camphor are both known drying ingredients, which does the exact opposite of a lip balm. It seems like Carmex are trying to ensure a constant market for their product by drying out people's lips as they try to use it. I liked the balm's texture, and didn't mind the smell some people have described, but the inclusion of menthol has totally ruined it.

Wouldn't Use Anything Else

My absolute favourite lip balm! It wins hands down and I keep multiple pots around the place to satisfy my addiction. No worries here about dry or flaky lips, the formula in the pot does everything I need and more.

The scent is not overpowering and the consistency is solid but easy to apply.

I would recommend in a heartbeat.

Tips: Any balm left over on my finger I just rub into my cuticles!

Interesting sensation, Vanilla scented

I was a little apprehensive to try this after reading mixed reviews but I must say... it isn't too bad at all. Lips feel soft for hours but I can still feel the dry skin underneath. It smells vanilla to start then as you apply it it has a minty sort of flavour. The feel... cool and tingly, non tacky and non greasy. I am still a little unsure if I like the tingly chill, but otherwise it is a good lip balm. I still prefer my trusty balm I was using prior, but would be happy to add this one to my handbag.
