Boom...moisture plus

I enjoyed using this mask. It couldn't have come at a better time... My face was extremely wind burnt and dry so I eagerly applied the mask immediately after opening the parcel.. Instantly cooling amazingly refreshing Delivering moisture right where I needed to. It was pleasantly scented very easy to use and apply and definitely delivers on the moisture content. I have sensitive skin and was wondering if it would be neutral or if it would cause a reaction... No reaction just blissful cool moisture. I was impressed with how easy it is to use and my skin felt fresh and hydrated. A great boost for tired dry skin

Tips: Once I removed the mask I just massaged the left over hydrating gel into my face, neck and upper chest areas... or you could also rinse off excess and dry skin gently

Garnier Green Tea Tissue Mask

Well, I am glad I tried this in the privacy of my own home by myself - have you seen what people look like using sheet masks?! Hilarious!

I applied this prior to bed and followed the instructions. Instead of wiping the excess gel off my face once I took the mask off, I dabbed some off and rubbed the rest into my skin to soak in overnight. This was an interesting product to trial and I am still undecided as to whether or not I actually liked it. Let me break it down into my usual good and bad aspects:

The good: it smells really good - really refreshing and clean! They definitely don't skimp on the gel product on the sheet mask - there was definitely a lot of product. It was also really gentle; my sensitive skin was not irritated in the slightest. Finally, my skin felt nice and smooth and soft in the morning.

The bad: there is A LOT of product on this sheet mask and I found it quite messy to apply. There is a blue backing sheet you need to peel off once you have it on your face and in trying to peel this off it displaced the mask totally. It is a really big sheet mask - it definitely needs to come in a smaller size for those of us with really small heads.

I should also note, my dry skin was no more hydrated in the morning. But I am not putting this as a negative aspect simply because in reading the back of the packet, the results were seen in trial after around 3 uses a week - so before I judge on this aspect I would like to use this multiple times a week and see if that helps hydrate my skin.

I don't love the product as it didn't miraculously fix my skin. But I don't hate it as I don't usually see results with face masks. Because of this I would continue to use it to see if multiple uses improves results - and because the scent was amazing, they are a good price and its relaxing laying down with a face mask on!

Tips: Be prepared for a messy application - they don't skimp on the gel which is great, but messy.

Ok for the price

It is a nice hydrating sheet mask for the price. It has a lot of essence on the mask sheet but does not drip and make a mess. There are heaps of essence left if you want to use it up. The hydrating effect does last a good few hours if you wash the remaining essence off. If you don’t, it’s kind of like applying a serum on the skin. I couldn’t really see the purifying or balancing effects of the green tea and obviously I’m not expecting immediate results from one use. But overall, single-use sheet masks are quite bad for the environment.

Tips: Best to use before makeup for a boost of hydration. Otherwise use at night and apply a moisturiser to lock in all the moisture for a nice glow in the morning. Don’t leave the mask on for more than the recommended time. Definitely remove it before it dries up!

Green Tea Tissue Mask Review

This little packet of wonderful came out to me to review last week. On receiving, I had a good look at the instructions and waited for a fairly quiet evening when I could crack it open. As I have pretty sensitive skin, I was skeptical straight off that it would do anything but was also excited to see how it would go. Taking it out of the sachet is a bit tricky but if you dont mind getting a bit of gloop on your fingers then you are all good. Un-folding it was pretty good, probably due to the blue film that is on the mask I would say, and this helped to get it un-folded without any tears, yay! Next, I put it on my face and smoothed it out before removing the blue film. It felt lovely, cool and refreshing, a nice surprise. Setting my timer for 15 mins, I sat back with a cuppa and waited... When the timer went off, I really felt like I didnt want to remove it as it still felt nice and cool. Removing was not a problem and I rubbed as much into my face, neck, hands as possible before finishing off with a cotton round to mop up any residue. My face definitely felt refreshed and hydrated and really smooth. I'd be keen as to get a couple more to try out over a week or so to see if it made more difference to my pores as one application I think is too soon to tell. Overall, it did a lovely refreshing, relaxing job which I was pretty pleased about, especially at this time of year when your face is extra dry and needs some hydration help. Lovely product and I will be looking out for it at my local supermarket for sure! PS.. a great price too!

Tips: Use any residual product on your hands and/or neck as an extra treatment...Lovely!

Hydrabomb seems a very appropriate name!

I was excited to give this mask a go, my skin is a mix of oily and dry so I was excited to see what this could do for me! First observation was there is so much liquid in the mask, all the better for hydrating! It comes folded in quarter, after gently unfolding it it’s time to put it on. I found it fit a little funny as I tried to get it in place, the holes were quite narrow around the eyes and mouth but fit well enough, it was also quite long for my face. However, once you peel the protective layer off it’s very easy to mold the mask into a comfortable fit. I found it quite difficult to get the protective layer off, once I managed to get it lifting, it lifted the whole mask off my face as I peeled it off so I very gently had to maneuver it all back into place. After 15mins it was time to come off, I like that given how much moisture was in the mask, it doesn’t dry out and stick to your skin it’s just slides right off leaving a layer of moisture goodness on your skin. It suggests either rubbing this left over product in or removing it with a clean cotton pad. I chose to rub it in since I was just heading to bed anyway but I did find it left a sort of sticky layer on my face, which felt a little jelly like when I washed my face the following morning, so I would probably use a cotton pad next time if I weren’t heading straight to bed. My skin felt so good, and not just after doing the mask, it felt great the next day, and even more amazing after applying moisturizer the following few days, it just soaked up all the moisture and felt super soft and smooth. I’m not convinced it reduced visible pores or anything but maybe I just need to do a few more! All in all, this was a really lovely mask, it definitely deserves the name hydra bomb! My skin felt great for days following.

Tips: Be super gentle when peeling the protective layer off or you’ll lift the mask back off!

Green Tea

I was lucky enough to be chosen to review this tissue mask! I had never given a tissue mask a go so I thought why not! First off it does not in any way make you look pretty, my guy mate flat mate had a giggle at how silly I looked. The instructions were very simple and the mask was easy to put on, the protective film was a bit unnecessary and time wasting. I was not a fan of how cold it was on my face and it kept just about slipping off my face, it could be because I have a smaller face. It defiantly made my skin feel more hydrated without leaving it feel oily and greasy. I have sensitive combination skin, it didn't make my skin sting. There was a lot of formula still left over on my skin afterwards, I massaged it in as much as I could then wiped off the excess. It didn't leave my skin hydrated for 24 hours but it was for half a day or so at least! I felt pampered but I don't think I would want to do this weekly, purely because I couldn't walk around and do much at the same time it was on. I thought it was going to smell like tea tree or something along those lines but it just has a nice refreshing smell which I liked. I would recommend to my friends and buy it for a gift!

Tips: Cleanse face before applying mask

Hydrating, moisturising and lush.

This mask is abosultely fantastic. No fussing around with a tube of product, or having to wash off a well-stuck product from your face or peeling off a painful mask. This was so easy to apply, easy to take off, smelt great and provided my face with an amazing cooling and refreshing feeling whilst on. When I removed the mask, my face felt very supple and refreshed. It removed excess oil, and prepared my face well to apply makeup on top. I'm unsure if it's a coincidence but since using the mask, my skin has become drasticly clearer too. I'd use this product again and i'd certainly try more from the range.

Tips: Ensure to get all of the product out of the packet that doesn't come out on the sheet, savour that serum!

Love love love

I was skeptical about it when I pulled it out of the packet but it's really amazing, you can feel it working on the face and the smell is quite lovely. 1 out of 2 things is that it seems quite big for the face (i have maybe what 1 would call a round face) and fave feels a bit tacky after rubbing the access in but definitely not feeling disappointed in this product and will be buying it especially to try after I've had a walk, shower and cleanse.

Tips: Maybe wipe off access to see if it feels better after taking the product off. Will do a better review when I buy some more to try.

Instagram Famous... maybe not

I wanted to be so on trend and wear this mask like all the insta famous people! I mean it is so on trend to try a tissue mask.

So last night I ran a bath (Lush xmas range is out people!! And while I am upset Yognog has not returned that is a story for another day...) anyway I run my bath and I might have taken an adult beverage and dark chocolate in there with me.... Hey this is a judgement free zone right??

My first issue is - DO NOT apply this in the damn bath. It was hot so my face got hotter and it all ended badly. Not to mention you can not drink wine with this on.... Straws next time.

Before my face got sweaty and the mask all but slide off my face in the bath. It felt nice and it was extremely relaxing. Taking me time in the bath to the next level.

It fit my face well but ladies tie your hair up... Lucky for me this is already a go to for a bath when you have long hair... I don't actually know how long it was on before it slide off but at least 6-8 songs which I was happily listening too.

If this product gets in your eyes it does sting so you really want to be careful of that when putting it on and taking it off. You also really want to remove the access.

The next morning (today) my skin did feel soft and hydrated even though I did not apply my night cream. Which was a nice bonus but by afternoon it was dry and crying out for some moisture - so maybe not quite 24 hours.

I think these would be a fab treat for a pamper night or a bit of me time but I would like to try them again just not in the bath. It really was a disaster.

Tips: Not for use in the bath..... and be careful of the product around your eyes.

A hydrating treat for your face

I'm a big fan of the Garnier tissue masks as an on-budget treat and was excited to try this one. It wasn't too soppy but I appreciated the blue protective film which adds a bit of stability when applying the thin tissue mask to your face. The green tea is a really nice, natural scent and it was lovely to take 15 minutes to relax with the mask on. Afterwards I massaged the excess product into my face and neck per the instructions and it more or less absorbed without stickiness. My skin definitely looked and felt like it had a hydration boost immediately afterwards but I'm not convinced that it lasted an entire 24 hours - probably just until I showered the following morning!
