Fresh but uncertain..

When I first started using this I was delighted to find that it actually did what it said it did and felt as though it was just water taking the make-up off! I wouldn't say that it cleansed my skin and i always use a cleanser afterwards.

Tips: A friend of mine had a severe allergic reaction to this, so please be aware when trying out!

Yes! (for the most part)

I went out and bought this upon recommendation from my Cousin. I had always used makeup wipes because they're easy to carry around so I was reluctant to switch to something that was in a bottle and also required cotton pads to use it as well but I must say it is a nice product to use! I heard it broke people out but this didn't happen to me...although I cleansed after removing my makeup with my standard cleanser so this could be the solution for some people using it as a stand alone. The only issue I really have with this is sometimes It just won't get my mascara and eyeliner (tight lined) off super easy, like I do have to rub a lot which isn't ideal but it's only with certain products not all so overall it does what it needs to and it feels quite refreshing too which is the best after a whole day of wearing makeup!

Worked wonderfully

I tried the Garnier Micellar water after hearing all the hype and really thought it lived up to the expectation. I was initially worried it would sting or be quite oily in my eyes but this was not the case. It removed all my eye makeup so quickly and easily and soothed the skin around my nose too! Will definitely keep using this as it is so handy for taking off my eye makeup once home from work, before cleansing my whole face at bedtime.

Tips: Use with cotton pads when removing eye makeup

so good but hard to find!

I love how this removed all my eye makeup and my double wear foundation which normally takes double cleansing. My only problem is its hard to come by as it is so popular at the moment so I normally end up having to buy the simple micellar water which doesn't seem to remove my makeup as well as the garnier one.

Tips: stock up on cotton pads.

Garnier Micellar - size does matter

So much hype surrounded this product and Im a sucker for hype - who isn't?! so once I FINALLY got my hands on it I wasn't sure what to expect.

The size of the bottle for the price is what I love - yes size matters! Always tired of running out of other liquid eye makeup removers in a couple of weeks just wasn't ideal for me.

I only use this product to remove my eye makeup and I find this removes it easily, I still get a bit of redness on my lids just like ALL other removers I've tried but doesn't seem as bad.

Ive tested it a couple of times on my face make up aswell I dont cake my makeup on either, but didnt think it removed it very well, so I'll continue using my all time favourite Tailor oil cleanse for my face makeup removal and for cleansing.

I cant help but shake the bottle prior which makes it bubble up - a habit from using those blue/clear liquid removers that require mixing. I like that the bottle is clear and simple to see how much is left, the pink top and other pink writing make it girly looking, it doesn't bother me but Im sure it doesn't appeal to everyone, especially males etc who might wear makeup. They are defiantly targeting a certain demographic with their marketing. Obviously I use too much as there is no way Id get 200 uses out of a 400ml bottle - can anyone say they have?

It feels nice and refreshing on the eye area and I was surprised how it wasn't greasy like the other removers, even thought I realise its a 'water' I still expected a little greasiness! So Micellar Waters will defiantly be my go to from now on mainly because of the size of the bottle and value for money. I will try a different brand so I can compare Micellar Waters and that this one is better than any other, so watch this space.

As Im about to travel for a month soon I predict this will be on my to-pack list - especially for late nights and jet lag when I really cant be bothered with a complicated skincare routine. Just fingers crossed it doesn't leak :/

Would be good to see it sold in travel sizes too for weekends away etc. - again size does matter!

Tips: A beauty therapist once told me with any liquid makeup removers, dampen (not soak) cotton pads first with a small amount of water so they don't just soak up the product. Fact or Fiction? I've tried it and think she was on to something, but perhaps for more oil based removers... ?

Micellar Water

Did exactly what it says it does! Removed makeup effortlessly, however i didn't like using it for my eye makeup. It worked well, however if i accidentally got it in my eye, it hurt a little! I couldn't use it alone, I always cleansed my face after using it as I felt it left my skin a little sticky after it dried.

Tips: Don't use too much! Only lightly wet your cotton pad, don't drench it, it makes a mess! hehe

Micellar Water!

This product comes in a clear and transparent 400 ml bottle with a pink lid. Simple, pretty and girly. The product itself is a clear liquid and the flip top cap gives the right amount of product. This product will give you 200 uses (it claims).

I used this to remove makeup after work instead of using makeup removing wipes. This water removes my foundation, lip products as well as eye make up products but I feel I use a lot of product. After using it, I wash my face with a cleanser simply because I like to double cleanse. However, this is not required.

The bottle is quite hefty and so, when I travel, I take the product in a travel bottle. I have normal to oily skin and it doesn't make my skin feel oily or dry after use. It doesn't sting my eyes while removing eye makeup. I like the fact that it is fragrance free and rinsing of the face is not required after use. However, I do feel I tend to use lot more product, but it's quite economical, so I don't mind.

Overall, quite decent product and I am going to continue using it.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I thought I would try out Garnier micellar water as there has been lots of hype about it. It comes in a big 400ml bottle, so you’re getting lots of product for how much you pay. I use this micellar water with cotton pads to remove my make-up. It removes all my make-up really well. I usually wash my face after using this product as it leaves my skin feeling sticky. Overall this product is really good and leaves your skin feeling very clean, I would highly recommend.

Believe the hype

Now I had seen a lot of hype around these micellar waters. And honestly - as someone who is a traditional wash and scrub girl I was pretty skeptical. Usually on days I wear makeup (which isn't all that often) I would use a make up wipe or two to remove what I had worn that day/night and then be done with it.

So when I ran out of my trusty wipes and came across this in the supermarket I figured why not.

Now on a note, something that really drew me in was the price point. Usually I pay anywhere between 7-15 dollars for each pack of facial wipes. This bottle cost me $9 and promises 200 uses..who was I to say no to that?!

My method is that I will soak two cotton pads. Use the first one for an all over wipe down and the second to get any grime I missed.

While it doesn't take off any heavy duty mascara it does a pretty good job of getting my face clean. It feels fresh, light and doesn't dry it out too bad. Although I still follow up with a moisturizer.

Good but not AMAZING

I jumped in and tried this, and yes it does remove my makeup somewhat easily but I'm not completely convinced I would replace it for my normal cleanser. After using this to remove all my makeup I still need to cleanse with my normal cream cleanser afterwards to make sure I have completely removed all the oils off my skin. I think this is a good product for removing soft and small amounts of makeup but if you wear a lot of makeup on a regular basis I would still recommend following it with a cleanser afterwards. I have to moisturize afterwards as I have super dry skin and find this feels rather drying afterwards. I do like using this product if I am using an oil to remove my eye makeup tho, I put a tiny bit on a cotton pad and it removes any left behind makeup removing oil oil off my lids and stops my eyes feeling heavy.

Tips: A great eye refresher for tired eyes, put a tiny bit on a cotton pad and place on eyes for a few seconds.

That's a good point about it being an eye refresher! I always found it cooling on the eyes for removing makeup, so will definitely be trying it as a refresher :)
