I was excited to be picked to review this as I haven’t been doing any skincare lately and wanted to get back into it. The “super soothing” branding also appealed as I do have sensitive skin.
The cleanser packaging just being plastic isn’t quite as nice as the serum cream. But that is just an observation rather than a criticism. With cleanser I do like them to be on the cheaper side as they don’t sit on your skin for as long. Also I cleanse in the shower so I don’t mind the simpler packaging sitting in the shower. The pump works ready well also.
I liked the product too (which is really the most important part). There is a slight scent to it but I really had to stick my nose right up into it to smell it. I love a cream as it doesn’t leave my dry skin feeling gross. This one is really nice and leaves my skin feeling lovely and not dry at all. I can’t speak about how it removes makeup as I haven’t used makeup in a while. I haven’t had any bad effects on my skin through using this and I appreciate how gentle it is if using with the retinol serum cream as well.
I haven’t always been Garniers’ biggest fan for skincare - but at an affordable price this actually really appeals I will consider repurchasing this when I need a new cleanser.
I received this product as part of a trial along with the Super smoothing serum cream. As I have sensitive skin, I am always wary of trying new products. The first day after use, my skin had a slight reaction, but it settled down really quickly, and I used this every day throughout the two weeks of the trial.
What I liked about the product was the easy-to-use pump, which meant you had minimal waste unlike you do with a squeezable tube, and a little but goes a long way. I also liked that it was a green product, made from 96% recycled plastic and that it's cruelty-free.
Did it do what it said it would? It promised to make my skin feel smooth and hydrated, which it did, but I can't say that I noticed any visible differences in the appearance of my skin.
Would I buy it? Yes, probably if it was on special.
