Tips: Also great to calm sunburn! The list is endless :)
This stuff has such a cult following, I expected it to be amazing, but it was like really thick, orange coloured vaseline...really really thick, like the tackiest lip gloss ever. I'm not sure how people use it on their hands, it felt like my lips were being glued together. I ended up giving it to my Mum and haven't heard a word about it since.
Tips: Err...no?
I only had a very small tube of this but i used it religiously on my lips. I played saxophone all through high school and it really took its toll on my lips. I tried numerous different lip balms and creams and this was the only product I had any success with. It healed them right up and took away the pain. I didn't really use it for anything else but I would definitely recommend it to anyone suffering from sore lips.
this used to be a fantastic product - my mother used it on us as kids and it was a heal all balm. I recently purchased and it gave me chronic dermatitits - bring back the old version this has changed and not for the better!
Possibly one of the best moisturisers I have ever tried. I use it on my face, hands and lips and the softness lasts for a long time afterwards. My only gripe is the smell - it isn't the best by any means, but for what it does, I'm willing to forgive the minor flaw. It is very expensive to buy but a little does go a long way with this.
Tips: Use as little as you can to avoid the "greasy" feeling you can get with it, especially around the face.
This was recommended to me by a friend for sunburn and any other skin ailment. It reminded me of the old Rawleighs Ointment that was a one stop shop for burns, insect bites, stings, moisturising dry skin etc. I always carry a tube of this in my handbag. One down side is the smell isn't fantastic but with a product that delivers I can look past it. It's we'll priced and a small bit goes along way!
But I am not a huge fan. I found it to be quite smelly and chemical tasting when I used it on my lips. I would rather use a natural balm like trilogy everything balm for dry skin. On the flip side, I was given the 8 hour lip balm free with a purchase recently and I am super impressed. It is the best lip balm I have used, hands down. My lips are lovely and smooth and it's great to apply before lipstick. Recommended!
Love this cream/balm very versatile. I found it great for dry skin patches, pimple scars , insect bites and athletes foot etc
Tips: Not a fan of the smell.
If I had to only ever have one product in my life, Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream would be the one. I have always had at least one tube of Eight Hour Cream somewhere in the house, handbag and First Aid Kit. My kids have grown up thinking everyone has this in their first aid kit. It is great for chafing, sunburn, dry cracked skin, small grazes, eczema, split ends, eyebrows, skin conditioner, softening skin, great on elbows, knees and gardeners hands, we even use it on our dogs when they have scrapes etc. A tube taken on holiday is like having a medical kit with you - it really is a wonder product and deserves it longevity and status in the marketplace. I love the smell and feel on the skin, it is even pleasing to the males in the household, who have no qualms using it. A tube lasts for ages and never loses potency or deteriorates in consistency or smell, so is really good value for money.
Tips: You can really use it for any purpose, however be smart as it is not for internal use and I also wouldn't keep using it on wounds that do not heal within a day or so - they probably require medical advice.
I always have a tube handy, especially with cracks, really dry skin. Fantastic for cuts etc as well. I have even used it on my lips when they have been very dry.
