Dove Summer Glow Review

Since moving to NZ I've learnt to be more sensible in the sun. However my rather pale Irish skin has in the past resulted in me covering up so not to cause too much glare! Dove Summer Glow gives me the confidence to wear slightly shorter shorts and sleeveless tops. It's easy to apply, and doesn't have that awful fake tan smell. It looks natural and I have received many compliments about my "tan".

I do quite like this product for a nice light natural tan, it does definitely give you a sun kissed look, I usually apply this two- three times over a week to get more of a tan, I like this for every day wear rather then night time. It also has a strong smell but I'm a fake tan fan so I don't mind it and doesn't stain your hands!

I've tried a few different versions on this and none of them rate as this one does. Its the most natural. So many others leave you streaky or orange...this one just leaves a summer kiss on your skin. Its reasonably priced and does what it says it does and smells nice.

As a pale girl I was a bit worried about trying this product in that it would a) not work or b) work too well (e.g. hello orange). But this product has truly blown my expectations! The best thing about Dove Summer Glow is that not only does it also contain a very rich moisturiser, but it also allows you to decide how build able you want the look to be - if you're very pale like me, you probably don't want to go too tan or you will look out of proportion with the rest of your body. However this allows you to stop when you wish to - as it works gradually. A true summer necessary!

Have been using this product for a few years now and it never fails to make my skin shine and look tanned aswell as moisturising it!! I don't use this every day but a few days before an event or going out and it's perfect! Deff apply after a shower and wait and let dry before getting dressed or it may streak, also wash hands throughly after, I've been caught with orangey hands hehe

I use this product although I am fair skinned I purchased the darker skin type one and just did one application and in the morning / by evening the results were nice so I did not need to keep applying like I would if I had purchased the lighter skinned one as one application gave me a good tan look and so I got more bang for my buck. Skin is nice and hydrated but some times it can take a while to absorb and dry. The product has been around for years now and I have bought a few bottles on special or because they were having a promotion the product kept well and I prefer it to another brand that bought out the same kind of product. The product does have a smell but it is not bad. I have not tried heaps of self tanners but this would be a preference so far.

Dove make the best gradual tanner, in my opinion. It isn't strongly chemically scented, one bottle per season is more than enough, and it's inexpensive. I go very white (we're talking vampire white here) over winter and this always starts me back on my path to brown, even when the weather is terrible. It doesn't 'tan' you as such - you won't get that spray-tan effect...but if you're like me, you would rather build up a gentle tan a little at a time, and this product does that brilliantly. Added bonus? It's actually a decent lotion, even without the tanning component.

I've tried both the fair/medium, and the medium/dark - the darker one gets the result more quickly, so it really just depends what you're after :)

I loved this lotion from the first use, I love the light fruity fragrance and the light consistency of this lotion and not only does it moisturise it slowly gives me a nice golden glow. It's not sticky and drys really quickly and doesn't stain my clothes, so with a little effort in exfoliating the whole body and making sure my skin is slightly damp, that's so I apply it evenly as my skin is dry and parts off me would go darker like my knees or around my ankles. This takes a few weeks to get a golden glow and for me that's using it every day but once my skin is at a nice shade I use it every second or third day and exfoliate and moisturise. It's a great product especially if you just want a hint of colour. I'm left with a nice natural look so reasonable on my wallet and much better for my skin beats baking it.

I use this moisturiser as a quick fix. I prefer to use self tanner in mousse form as there is a colour guard and I can see where the tan is appying. However I enjoy using this moisturiser as a quick fix as I can apply it for two or three days and I have a nice glow. I do use the darker tone moisturiser and I do enjoy using it as a quick and easy tan with zero effort as I moisturise my body after a shower anyway.

I use this every second day in summer. It smells great unlike many self tanners I have tried, and it's not packaged to obviously look like self tanner! It lasts for ages because a little goes a long way! It's easy to apply and fabulous on sensitive skin. Best if all it gives you a gradual natural looking tan! I love it and recommend it to all.
