Garnier Body Superfood Cocoa & Ceramide

There's a lot to love about Garnier Body Superfood Cocoa & Ceramide body butter and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others with super dry skin.

For me, the tub is a drawback, I prefer my body lotions with a pump. Having said that the lid is nice and snug, easy to open with one hand. The repairing butter itself is thinner than I thought it would be, more of a yoghurt texture than a butter.

The cocoa scent is faint and definitely not offensive, doesn't stick around once it's all soaked into your skin.

The soaking in is the second drawback for me, this stuff takes agggges to be absorbed, even on my driest skin.

After noticing this on first use, I swapped things up and used it straight after the shower and let it soak in while I dried my hair etc.

Afterwards my skin was super hydrated, with just a wee bit of residual product and no greasy marks left on my clothes :)

All in all it's a great product, I'd love to see it in a pump bottle given that it's not a traditional body butter consistency.

Perfect for self care Sundays, it's probably not an every day usage item for me.

The packaging is appealing ,stands out and definitely would attract me to look at it ,it has good information clearly marked on the container about the product ,however I would prefer it had an inner seal on it .,and a tighter lid and I wasn’t sure if it was recyclable.

On opening it look thick and creamy and felt lovely on my hands ,which is the first place I tried it ,then my legs which get very dry ,it felt somewhat sticky,greasy at first but within minutes had absorbed in to my skin .

After a few days I felt it had hydrated my skin quite well so why I have said it did live up to my expectations ,so for that reason I would recommend to a friend .

However the biggest downside for me was the fragrance,I did not like it and found it very overpowering,I like to wear perfume and this would not be a good mix ,it was the only smell I could smell and for that reason alone I would not purchase it for myself .

Real shame as the product did work quite well for me .,However i did have to use quite a lot to get the hydration I need for my skin . Price wise it is average not too expensive .

When this arrived my kids were so excited to open it up! They called me from work to tell me about the smell and the feel and immediately launched into using it. We have subsequently all been fighting to have a go. It smells amazing, the package is huge and the texture is so soft and buttery. I have really dry skin and it has cured that on my skin! I have ditched all my other moisturisers for your body and am solely using this. I have noticed a massive difference in my shins and elbows. I think this will become our family staple. The big packaging means I don’t mind too much sharing with the girls!

This was such a fabulous smelling and nourishing product for my skin! It applied easily and left my skin glowing and hydrated without being greasy or anything.

First off, I love that it has a 'Do Not Eat' warning on the pot. Absolutely necessary, because it does smell beautifully sweet-cocoa-creamy. Gorgeous.

It's also not like any other body butter I've used. I was expecting the usual thick and greasy sort of texture that most butters have, particularly those for 'Very Dry Skin'. This is certainly rich and thick, but it glides smoothly onto the skin and melts in; no fatty, gunky skin-feel at all.

And it absolutely delivers in terms of soothing, nourishing and hydrating. The skin on my legs is really dry, and can get itchy and even a bit scaley-looking, but this makes them feel immediately comfortable and moisturised. I don’t know about it lasting 48 hours, but I did a test, using a plain sorbolene cream on one leg and the Garnier Superfood on the other, and the Garnier leg was still feeling good a day later, whereas the sorbolene leg needed another application.

For packaging I do generally prefer a hygienic pump bottle, but when it's a body cream it's not such a big deal for me, and this pot and lid are both recyclable, which is a plus. It's a large pot too, and you don't need much, so it seems very affordable for something that works this well - and feels and smells luxurious while doing it.

This product was made for my extremely dry skin..... I used it on my legs and arms and what an instance result, after a winter of not caring for my skin, this repairing butter absorbed super fast into my skin and left it soft and smooth without the very dry patches. Comes in a very generous sized 380ml pottle, is vegan friendly and cruelty free. Body superfood hydrates skin up to 10 layers deep for up to 48 hours and has an amazing fragrance that is long lasting.

This comes in a big 380ml tub. I love the tub as you won't get any wastage. 97% natural origin, vegan and cruelty free. Heaps of info on the tub with a QR code to scan also. I have extremely dry skin so was really excited to try this and I haven't been disappointed. Firstly, this smells amazing. The butter has a slight brown tint and is thick and silky. It absorbs quickly into my skin and it is left feeling hydrated and soft. There is no greasy feeling with this butter. I have washed my hands some time after using, and I can still feel that my hands haven't lost all the hydration. I have been using this for just under a week and there has been a definite improvement in my skin. Unsure of the price for this, but when I run out I will be buying more. I have struggled to find a moisturizer that works on my skin to re-hydrate it, but so far this seems to be working. Would definitely recommend this.

This body butter has a lovely cocoa butter fragrance and a nice thick texture that glides on the skin easily and absorbs quickly without feeling greasy on the skin. It comes in a big tub that will last a while so is good value for money. I can't say it reached 10 layers deep or that it lasted 48 hours as I shower daily but it did hydrate my skin well, especially my legs which are pretty dry. Love that it is a cruelty free product.... that is especially important to me.

My first thoughts on this is that it looks almost identical to the conditioners of the same brand (the Hair Food) and the consistency of the product is almost the same also. This could make for an interesting experiment if you grabbed the wrong one for your shower. I would have preferred it to come in a bottle as I personally feel that is more hygienic than swiping your fingers in a tub.

The moisturizer is non greasy and absorbed by the skin quickly. It also has a strong perfume like smell, this does fade reasonably quickly so shouldn't interfere with your usual scent.

Since using it my skin does feel softer and there are less cracks on my hands. I did apply each morning after showering and I am unsure it would have lasted the 48hours suggested on the tub. I haven't trialed it long enough to see if there are ongoing benefits but early signs look promising.

All in all it's a good product, I will continue using it until it's gone but personally don't think I will purchase just due to the packaging.

I I have really thirsty skin, and am constantly on the lookout for a really hydrating cream that works. At last I think I have found it in Body Superfood! Usually I find body creams are either too thin and milky or so thick they are really difficult to work into the skin. This Superfood is perfect in that it sinks into the skin easily yet feels really rich. It smells lovely with the cocoa butter, but at the same time is not overwhelming. Hints of coconut too. I have been using it twice a day and my really dry skin has thanked me for doing so. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!
