Really good cleaner! I use this and then the cerave face moisturizer and it's such a great combo. Can make your skin a little dry but most cleaners like this do

Tips: Make sure to moisturise after as it can make your skin feel a bit dry!
I have combination skin and this product was amazing. As a result I got a lot of mila. This definitely helped reduce the mila. My skin has been extremely dry since it’s winter now so this product definitely helped.
Tips: Make sure you don’t roughly rub the product as it can irrate the skin. Carefully rub it into your face in a circular motion for at least a minute as it helps create friction to remove the dirt.
The CeraVe SA Smoothing Cleanser comes in a clearish pump bottle - great if you want to know how much you've got left before having to repurchase. It's quite runny and doesn't have much of a scent. Initially I tried this on my face but found it a touch too drying, however my skin did feel smoother after using it the few times that I did. In the end I switched it up and used it on my body as a body wash. One pump into a pouf saw the product lather up well and it was enough to use all over my body.
My back/arms/legs/chest etc did not feel dry after use, and also afelt nice to the touch while I applied moisturiser.
Had this been a winner on my face I think I'd have loved it, however I do like my body washes to have a scent and to feel like an experience, so I don't know that I'd repurchase this, but I would absolutely recommend it to a friend who wanted smoother skin without the scent.
I have occasional breakouts that arise solely on my forehead but also very dry skin so I purchased this as it’s targeted for those with dry skin. Overall I do like this product but am not a fan of the way it foams when you rub it in between your hands. It reminds me a little of the stripping foaming cleansers from the grocery store I used to use as a kid. It is a little drying but I make sure to moisturise straight after. So although I’m not a fan of using this on my face as it’s a bit too drying and foamy for my tastes, I like using this on other parts of my body in the shower. I get ingrown hairs so I love using this product on my underarms. I’m not sure if I’d use this again, maybe just on acne-prone parts of my body.
On receiving this product for trial was impressed by the size. Larger than usual cleanser sizes and with a pump dispenser which I love. Consistency of product was fluid like and with no high fragrance. Applied to damp skin it had a foaming like affect. I usual use cream cleansers so this was a different feel for me. It cleased my face well and my skin was left feeling fresh and clean and smooth. Was great when showering on problem body areas and reduced the feel of rough dry skin.
Tips: I only used half a pump when washing my face as a little went a long way.
So happy to have been on this trial as I have been wanting to try CeraVe for ages now.
I have used SA cleansers before and often my dermatitis flares up but I didn’t have an issue with the CeraVe. However I do have bumps on my cheeks that didn’t go away after using this for a week, and my skin didn’t have that ‘exfoliated’ feel some of the other cleansers give.
Consistency is a bit runny but lathers well (one pump is enough) and removes makeup nicely. I also used this as a body cleanser in the hopes it would help my upper arms and thigh bumpy skin but there was no noticeable change.
I would buy this again, the price point is great for such a lovely cleanser and I’m looking forward to trying some of the other products from this brand.
Tips: Also doubles as a great body wash!
This is a really nice simple body cleanser, it has virtually no scent at all and didn’t irritate my skin in any way, even the flare up I currently have on my wrist. It’s a nice simple body wash and the pump bottle is really handy, but I found it didn’t do anything specific for my skin or reduce the bumpy skin I get on the backs of my legs and arms. I’d still recommend this if you’re looking for a scent free, non irritating cleanser for your body, but personally I probably won’t repurchase this.
Having only used this for a week it's too soon to say if it does what it says it does in terms of helping my KP. But it has a nice thicker gel consistency and my skin felt clean after using it. So it's not bad, but it's too hard to say if it legit will help reduce my KP after one week's use.
It does a great job removing my make up, but I have noticed if my skin is much clearer when I don't use this everyday. So I use it as a cleanser when I need to remove excess make up.
The bottle for this has a clean, functional aesthetic in white and blue. And the pump is great for ease of use and dosage control.
The cleanser comes out as a creamy-gel liquid, but foams up gently when rubbed. It’s a nice texture and has no fragrance, which I quite like. It’s supposed to be for face or body, but as my face can be sensitive, I just used it on my dry, scaly, eczematic legs to start with. I’m not sure it smoothed or moisturised on its own (I needed to apply cream afterwards), but I imagine the SA helps prep the skin to absorb moisturisers, and it rinsed off easily, leaving my skin feeling super clean but not stripped. All good! So I decided to try it on my face... I was amazed to find it didn’t sting at all, it didn’t make my skin reactive, it rinsed off clean without leaving a slimy coating (which I’ve found some gentle cleansers do), and my skin felt really smooth and comfortable afterwards. After using it numerous times, however, I felt it was starting to leave my skin looking and feeling quite taut, like it was in need of a good long drink. So I think for me it’s the sort of facial cleanser I’ll use a few times a week so I get the SA magic happening and the lovely clean feeling but without it drying my skin too much.
This is definitely economical, as it’s super concentrated. The tiniest amount of product foams up to cleanse a large area. I’d absolutely recommend it for the body if you have ultra dry or rough or eczematic skin anywhere (and if you pair it with the SA Cream, the results are AMAZING). And I think it could be a lovely face cleanser for most people, but if you’re very sensitive or very dry, I’d advise starting off slowly.
Tips: Dispense just a drop onto wet fingers and rub into a gentle lather before applying. You'll use a fraction of what you'd expect you'd need.
