Lush Yog Nog Soap is inspired by the famous Christmas drink, egg nog (vegan version!). We’ve added soya yogurt which gives a lovely creamy texture and is softening for the skin and the scent of Clove Bud Oil and Ylang Ylang Oil is topped off with a generous dusting of Nutmeg and Cocoa Powder.

Delicious

You can definitely smell this soap when you walk into a LUSH store. It's a delicious rich toffee scent. I bought a few last Christmas, and it's again available and I've re purchased.

It's a light caramel coloured soap, the imprint on top is dusted with a brown powder. The soap is very creamy and rich. It lathers up well and the shower is beautifully scented like a chocolatey/coffee ice cream. I'm sort of shocked that the description above says cloves and nutmeg as I have to really sniff to get this- total toffee scent for me. I don't find the scent lasts a long time on skin so it doesn't mix with your regular perfume. The soap is quite soft, it doesn't last very long. I only buy about 100g size bars, and they last about 5-7 days before they get too soggy and disintegrate.

It's definitely an expensive soap, but the scent definitely oozes luxury.

Tips: I like to buy a few and store them in my drawers to make them smell beautiful.

Hmmnnn..I was wondering about the scent with having cloves in it, but it sounds yummy. I'd love to try it.

Mackintosh toffee

I love Christmas and the delish limited edition products and this is no exception.

The toffee coloured soap feels quite soft, one side of the soap has a brown dusting covering the soap but this washed away when I first used it.

Now many (many) moons ago Christmas was all about lolly scrambles with Mackintosh toffees, my favourite ever was the orange one egg and cream, this soap smells exactly like that lolly, I just wanted to eat it. At least it probably wouldn't break my teeth. It also has like a very subtle nutmeg note in the background but I couldn't see it on the ingredient list.

This soap is so creamy and rich you can almost feel your skin being moisturised at the same time as washing. This lathers up slightly and the cream and egg toffee scent fills the bathroom. I'm left with silky soft skin but unfortunately the scent doesn't linger on my skin.

Being the softer, creamier type of soap you have to treat it with care, letting it dry on a rack without water touching it or it will turn into gloop. This soap is such a treat and most certainly reminds me of Christmas.

Caramel delight

Yumdidilumsious! This smells more caramel than egg nog but considering that I don't normally like soap, I loved this one!!! It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and soft and is a perfect shaving bar!! The frangrance permeated my whole bathroom and I just wanted to sit in there all day here. Gorgeous soap, heavenly scent...don't eat it though!, great price for the amount too!

Tips: Buy some for your mum, she will love it!!!

Spicy festive must-have!

I've never had to fight the urge not to eat a beauty product like I do with Lush products and this soap is no exception. I absolutely adore soap; it's my preference in the shower so when Lush Yog Nog came along I was sold. It's my favourite soap (next to the seasonal Lush Carrot soap - no it doesn't smell like carrots).

This soap looks edible, the colouring and dusting of brown powder reminds me of a tasty looking tiramisu and the smell? I seriously just closed my eyes haha. It's divine. It has a spicy festive scent mellowed out with warm soft notes of vanilla swirls. Darn my description doesn't do it justice, but to me it's the kind of scent I imagine a wooden house out in the snowy forest with a crackling fire burning inside would smell like.

The soap lathers up quite well and I love how it leaves my skin feeling moisturised. As with a lot of the Lush soaps that I've used the scent doesn't stay for too long which is quite unfortunate however in the bathroom the smell lingers for a good 2 hours before beginning to fade.

It's a great gift but which is only available during Christmas. I love it so much it's the main gift for my small work team - everyone will have a spicy festive scent in their bathrooms this year and hopefully have a newfound love for soap haha. I would highly recommend this soap to others and I'm absolutely repurchasing.

Hate the drink but love the soap

Okay, the title is a partial lie because I have never tried egg-nog but I do love the soap that is a play on the name. When I still had a local lush, I ran to the store to smell this product when their Christmas collection was released but it smelt like nothing to me (silly smell of Lush messing with my senses) so I didn’t make an order. It wasn’t till I received a sample of the stuff that I actually went and brought a big chunk of soap.

This soap is a beautiful caramel colour and has imprinted festive shapes on the top with a brownish-cinnamon looking sprinkle on top. The soap has a beautiful smell. It’s sweet with a vanilla or caramel undertone and some spicy notes to it too. It smells like Christmas. I mean, I have to give this soap points for having a festive name, look, and smell.

Good work spreading the Christmas cheer lush! I found the soap to be soft and creamy, creating a nice gentle lather and clean. Because it is a bit softer, the soap doesn't last as long as the harder soaps from the range, but still I find soft soaps last a long time anyway.

This isn't a soap I would use all year, but I love using it in the Christmas season because it smells like Christmas and makes my life a bit more festive. Would I purchase again? Yes for sure, it’s not my fav soap from Lush, but its ideal for the holiday season

Tips: Try before you buy. Lush are so good with their samples.

Lush Yog Nog - Festively Sweet, Spicy Scented Soap

I am a big fan of sweet, cinnamon spicy sort of scents, especially around Christmas. This soap has that sort of scent though not quite, it smells sweet and like cocoa and spices, it has a dusting of some sort of spice that looks like cinnamon or nutmeg and the design on top is really festive. It reminds me of those sugar cinnamon spice cookies which are a favorite of mine. It lathers up with this nice creamy lather that make showers luxurious. Unfortunately it doesn't leave a lingering scent on my skin but showers smell amazing. My only gripe about this soap is that it has Sodium Lauryl Sulfate which it why I don't shower with it as much as I would like. But other than that it's probably my favorite Lush Christmas Soap and I have gifted this to family and friends they have loved it.

Tips: This a really nice scent for winter as well. Buy a few in the Boxing Day Sales so you can have some sweet, spicy scented soap for those winter showers.

Smells good enough to eat!

I use Lush soaps as hand soap. I gave up liquid hand soap in favour of solid soaps as I had acquired quite a stash and I prefer to use shower gels in the shower. Since doing so, the persistent patch of dermatitis on my little finger is finally gone! The other bonus is that Lush soaps make the bathroom smell amazing! This soap is no exception.

This soap smells like caramel and spices and it scents the whole bathroom. I love the smell of this as a friend gave it to me last Christmas when we were is Brazil. I had the bar in my backpack for the rest of my trip around South America so the smell reminds me of that wonderful time. (I spent several hours on a bus worried I had left it behind in Monte Video lol)

This is a bit softer than some soap so it needs to be away from moisture on a well draining soap dish. To make it easier to handle and last longer, I cut the bar in half. It then looks (and smells) like a giant chunk of fudge sitting in the bathroom. Do not eat it!

When used, this soap creates a nice gentle lather. It leaves my skin really soft and smooth and I don't have to apply hand cream straight away as I usually do. They almost feel like they have had cream already applied and that lovely scent also lingers on them.

Tips: As with all my favourite Lush products this is a LE so grab it while you can! Lush have been selling it half price in their Boxing Day sale which is due to end any day now.

Smells so spicy and warm

I purchased a bar of this soap in the lush boxing day sale. I think it was $5 for a 100gm block of soap. I'd never smelled this soap before but it sounded really good and I was looking forward to trying it out.

This comes to you in a simple plastic wrapping, nothing flash but lush focus more on the product not the Packaging! Lush make up big slabs of soap so each piece is cut from this block and will look slightly different. My piece must have been a middle piece as I didn't get any of the pretty decorative outer. Not that, that is a big deal but it does look nice in the picture above.

The scent of this is really warm and inviting. It reminds me of a ginger slice but without the ginger if that makes sense. It's spicy and completely feels like a cooler weather scent. I would love it if this scent was available as a body wash!

I just use this as a hand soap. To be honest it's not the best I've used at lathering up. It's not a super soft soap so that could be why. I do get some bubbles of course but not as many as I would prefer to have to feel like it's properly cleansing.

Overall, I love the scent of this so would possibly buy it again. I don't think I'd pay full price as I don't think it's the best functioning soap but maybe it would be good to just have as a decorative soap to scent your drawers etc.

I'm the same Rezee, I'd be more inclined to buy it if it was cheaper. There's a lot of competition in the 'good soap' category now.

Nice and noggy

I was surprised when I opened my Joy to the World Christmas box, that this soap wasn’t the cute round shape with patterns in it, that I’d seen in the picture. Mine is a rectangular bar.

It smells lovely, almost caramel smelling, and that matches the caramel colour. It doesn’t lather much so has lasted for quite a while. The smell is still perceptible on my skin for a wee while after using the soap.

It claims to be creamy and softening to the skin, and it is both of those things. My skin feels clean after using it, and it isn’t drying like some soaps can be.

I don’t mind it, but it’s kind of plain and not as good as Miranda soap.

To be honest, and especially considering the price, $8.50, I think I prefer other brands of soaps.

Tips: It is a product suitable for a lovely small gift for someone.

Warm Caramel Goodness

Over the Boxing day xmas period I did a big haul of xmas products. This was on special at that time. I wanted to give this soap a try for my first time. I find my Lush soaps last me much longer than my shower gels. If you ever get the opportunity to do a boxing day sale I highly recommend it . You can get many bargains for these products.

This soap arrieved to me with lots of ghost foam. I find this soap packaged securely in a clear bag. I opened this to find a solid bar of soap. This soap looks like a light caramel brown. My bar has a huge white marble colour flowing in it. I can see grains of white running through it. This smells like a warm cup of caramel latte. Not so much coffee but caramels.

I find this bar lathers well with my wash cloth. It also works well with a shower puff. I can get weeks of use out of this bar. My shower smells fragrant with this soap in it.

Personally I probably wouldn't buy this bar for eight dollars. I got it for half of that price. I enjoy the consistency of this soap. I didn't have any skin irritations at all. My skin was still hydrated after use. I would buy it again if it was in a sale.
