Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion Review

I love this moisturiser! I have dry and sensitive skin and it is one of the very few products which always gives me beautiful, soft skin.

Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion is genuinely one for those who are looking for a 'safe' option. It's non-scented; in fact it's entirely fragrance free, which actually puts me off a little as I like my lotions fragranced.

The packaging indicates a natural product, with green and brown on a soft fawn background. I've had this in sachets, a large pump bottle, and small handbag sized bottles.

The lotion itself is white and creamy. It's a mid-thickness lotion that spreads well. Absorption is reasonably rapid, and there is a slight residue that lasts a moment or so before disappearing into hands. The lotion is non greasy, and I haven't experienced any form of reaction. It's been fine on freshly shaved legs, sunburned arms and already irritated areas (eczema etc).

This product contains colloidal oatmeal, which is soothing and healing. It definitely fulfils both promises. Your skin is left soft and smooth.

For me, with my not-so-sensitive skin, and preference for fragranced lotions, this is a bit unnecessarily gentle and lacks excitement. However, if you have any form of skin need, this could well be ideal, so it woul dbe worth checking out. Similarly, if you prefer your scent to come from perfume and your lotion not to mess with it, this would be ideal. It's a little on the more expensive side for a supermarket product, but the natural ingredients do justify the extra expense.

I have been using this moisturiser for 2 months now and have been enjoying it. I usually like my moisturisers to be a little bit scented but I actually like this being unscented, I can rely on it to not smell bad when I buy it! This leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth and hydrated. I find when I apply it at night that I need to reapply in the morning as my skin feels dry again. The good thing about it though is that you don't need to apply much. The only thing I don't like, and this is real picky, is the pumper. I find the neck too little and sometimes it's hard to pump the product out - would rather buy a tube.

Rejoice! A product that is fragrance free that doesn't actually have a smell. As someone with sensitive skin I often go for the fragrance-free variety only to find out why the product has a fragrance - because the underlying scent of the product is naaaasty. Then I smell nasty. Not cool products, not cool.

When I first used this my immediate thought was "why did I wait so long to get on this bandwagon?!". I've been told for years how good this stuff is but for some reason never got around to trying it. So many wasted years.

I adore it now. Aside from being fragrance-free, which is also great because it doesn't compete with perfumes etc, it's a fab moisturiser. It's the perfect texture, thick but not too gluggy, and spreads easily. It absorbs super fast which is perhaps the most important thing I look for in a moisturiser given that I shower right before bed.

Confession time, I'm a bit half hearted with my moisturising so to be fair my skin responds to any attention in that department so I don't feel I can comment on how effective it would be for a religious moisturiser. I found it to be lovely on my skin though and I feel nice and soft and silky - especially after a shave.

I have dry sensitive skin. And can get eczema break outs. I found that this product is thicker than some of the other ones I have used, so for me is more difficult to apply. It is fast absorbing and I like that it has no added fragrance. I find that it is good during the warmer months, but definitely not enough for me during the winter and when I have my eczema break outs.

I bought this moisturiser when I was suffering from dry itchy skin on my belly and back during pregnancy (dry back... Strange, right??). I was already a fan of Aveeno products and I found this just one more product that nourishes my dry, sensitive skin. When I applied this moisturiser, not only did my skin feel soothed and protected, the effect lasted at least two days, which meant less time trying to awkwardly moisturise my own back!

The only negative I should mention for this product is that my husband gets eczema on his hands and he found this product stung his eczema (hence me having to moisturise my own back!!). This is surprising as other Aveeno products are great for his hands. If you also suffer from eczema or something similar, try before you buy.

This is the best moisturiser I've ever used. I use it on my face. The product itself feels light, but once applied, forms a nice seal. As opposed to other moisturisers that sink in and leave me feeling like "where did it go? is my skin any different?", I can touch my face hours later and still feel that moisturised layer. I apply this in the morning and at night, and when I wake up in the morning my skin is still soft and moisturised.

It MAY be too thick for other people's faces, especially if you have skin that clogs easily, so patch test carefully before you use this on your face.

It is absolutely excellent for hands and body.

Just tried out the Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion - wow, what a moisturiser!

This product is VERY rich and creamy, and smooths into the skin effortlessly. It has little or no scent, and is very soothing. I definitely would not recommend using this on your face, since I found it left my hands quite greasy after application, although for those of you with very dry skin it could be perfect! I personally do prefer moisturisers with a bit more scent to them, but this is a lovely, simple product.

I use it on my hands when they are dry and it moisturises almost immediately, leaving them soft and smooth. Downside of it is that I don't like the smell. It smells like urine to me (and I am not the only one as my sister thinks the same). I probably would not buy it again but I WILL finish the bottle.

I use this more on my body rather than my face as it can feel a bit think sometimes. Although having said that, in the winter it would be great for when your face starts feeling a bit dry from the weather. I find as soon as you put it on your skin feels deeply moisturised and refreshed. It is non-greasy as well which I really like as i hate the oily feeling some moisturisers leave on your skin. Overall it does a great job and deeply moisturises. Would recommend to a friend (:
