Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick Review

I love the Revlon lipstick ranges as there are usually so many colour options to choose from! I have two different lipsticks from the Super Lustrous range - #413 (Twinkled Pink) and #457 (Wild Orchid), both of which have a "Pearl" finish. Twinkled Pink is a peachy-nude shade, and Wild Orchid is a bright fuschia shade - both these colours are so beautiful and have a nice pearly sheen to it, given that these are the "Pearl" finish.

The lipstick is easy to apply and glides on nicely, and I also find that they can be quite pigmented (depending on what colour and finish you have - e.g. I find my Wild Orchid one is more pigmented that Twinkled Pink, because Wild Orchid is a darker shade). I like how it doesn't dry out my lips, and they stay on quite well but reapplications during the day are needed. The lipstick is also easy to remove at the end of the day, without staining your lips. Next time I'd love to try some of their lipsticks in other finishes, like "Matte" or "Creme". Revlon lipsticks are something that everyone should at least try once, if not more!

WOW!

I have this lipstick in #745 Raspberry Bite and #386 Garnet Chrome and I love both of the colours! They are richly pigmented. I do have a bit of trouble with application because of the high pigmentation, sometimes it can look like I have just smeared it 'around' my lips (I may have to learn how to use a lip brush or something like that to get a more precise application, I also have no idea how to use a lip pencil and maybe that would help?)

They last well as long as you aren't eating/drinking. I haven't taken this into consideration though when rating this product as in my experience, there are not many lipsticks that stand the test of time if you are eating/drinking.

Tips: Always have your concealer handy to touch up any mistakes around the lip and to make the lip line look really polished

An old favourite

Revlon Super Lustrous is always one of my go to lipsticks, a lovely creamy feel on the lips, not drying, lasts well and great colours. I have a few different colours but I tend to stick to pinks or browns with this brand, it's a good everyday lipstick.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick

I find this lipstick to be very creamy and non drying, with a great staying power. It doesnt seem to bleed on me at all, which is always great, to just be able to chuck on and not have to worry about liner on the go.

Tips: Id recommend using a lip primer first

Big fan

One of my all time favourite lipsticks is the revlon really red. Love the formula for all their lipsticks. Never sticky and never drying. Smell is not as nice, well at least for me but the actual product itself is amazing. It glides on smoothly and has a satin sort of texture. Does last for a while. Would last approximately about 4 hours on me if i were not to eat anything before i have to reapply. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to try a new lipstick that you can actually get from a store that doesn't cost you an arm and a leg.

Ginger Rose Lipstick

My sister got this for me for my birthday and I really like it. I got the colour 131 ginger rose in a creme formula. It is nice packaging and a nice consistancy when put on the lips. It is quite pigmented and I found 2 coats would give enough colour. It makes my lips feel nice soft and is a nice creamy formula. Like most lipsticks I have to reapply a few times in the day or after eating. I would recommend this lipstick and will definitely buy again when I run out. It is great value for money.

Tips: Pop some clear lipgloss over the top for a bit of shine.

A good-not amazing-lippie

I have a love hate relationship with Revlon lip colours, and this range is erally the only range of lipstick that I like. (I do love the liquid matte lippies and the Matte chubby stick things) I have the shades Fire and Ice and Wine with everything at the moment, but have had numerous others in the past. These are both the Creme formulation, which is the only one of the four I have tried. It is lovely and creamy, and glides on easily. While it doesn't feather, you do have to be a bit more precise with your application, as it has a little tendancy to go everywhere-but only so much you need to be careful. I absolutely love the colour of Fire and Ice-a bright orangey, pinky red. Yes, orange AND pink-it seems to change according to the light/skin tone/various factors. The wear is ok-it lasts a couple of hours, which I'm ok with for the finish and the price. I don't however, like the amount of transfer. I would re-buy this I think, but on my wish list of lippies its about halfway from the top.

Tips: Grab your lip liner and concealer-this could get messy!

Revlon super lustrous lipstick

I bought this in the shade mauve it over. I love the colour which is a nude colour like a kylie jenner lipstick, pink with brown undertones and it feels really moisturising and buttery when you apply it. However it's staying power is somewhat lacking as even applying it over a lip liner it's gone after a single glass of any juice, nevermind a meal. It has never survived a single meal yet however small.

Lovely Formula

I bought the colour Berry Haute which is a medium purple which is meant to be a dupe for Mac's Up The Amp. I definitely love the formula of this lipstick even though it is quite sheer but definitely buildable. It has a semi matte finish and is very moisturising. What I love about this colour is that you can choose the intensity of the purple to be more sheer or opaque.

Pretty but not long wearing

I got this lipstick as part of a Revlon GWP (to be fair, as part of MUM'S GWP :P) and have been wearing it daily to trial it.

I have shade 805: Kissable PInk - this is a good colour description! The colour is a soft, romantic, girly pale pink that is more matte in some lights but has a slight shimmer in others.

The packaging is a classic black twist-up with a gold band, and an innovative touch of a clear circle on the very top so you can see the colour through the tube.

The lipstick is an unscented, creamy-feeling, very moisturising formula. Even in the stick it looks inviting and nice to wear. On application it smooths on like a lip balm, without tackiness. It leaves lips feeling moisturised, and - yes - kissable!

It doesn't really set, and so does transfer and wear off fairly quickly, but reapplication is enjoyable so I don't mind that so much. The colour suits me and I like the feel of this, so I'd probably repurchase this for a day to day lipstick - but in more of a tinted balm capacity - colourstay it ain't!
