Revlon ColorStay Gel Envy Review

The colours are beautiful and I’m the nail polish diva and this colour stays longer and you wouldn’t need to use any base colour before. It enhances more only when you use the top diamond coat but you can also wear it without the top coat. It is not as strong as the gel polishes from salon but much better than standard nail colours. It feel thick on nails. It is not difficult to remove it when changing colour unlike the salon one.

Use the base coat and am generally pleased with the result. Even when I have used a dark colour my nails have not stained. Comes with a curved brush which I like as it applies nicely along my cuticles. Base coat does have a creamy/milky tint so sets a good foundation before colour is applied. In this range I also use multiple colours. Again they have the curve brush which makes for easy application. When applied evenly and dried between coats this polish has a nice finish.

I didn't mind this nail polish, it does last longer than standard nail polish which on me is about a day (lol). But the colors are lacking sparkly holo. Aside from that, I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a better than standard nail polish.

I was excited to try this product as I am a massive fan on shellac/gel nails however am not a fan of the price. I bought a mauvey purple shade and the diamond top coat from farmers, I loved it so much I bought two more! I love these polishes for there pigmentation, they're really bright, shiny and only take one coat for an opaque cover. They did last longer on my nails than any other polish I've tried. The applicator brush is a wide double haired brush that might be a little difficult if you have skinny nails. My only qualm is that I wouldn't class them as 'gel', they're just a really opaque, thick coat.

I love the colours and the shine of this new Revlon range. Don't really like the names though. I've bought nail polishes in the fast simply because I really liked the name. I don't think it lasts as long as it claims though. Drying time is pretty fast and very easy to apply, however nails started chipping faster than the usual Revlon nail polish range. However, I didn't use the special top coat with it but this was simply because I wanted to compare with the other Revlon nail lacquers that I have used before. The opacity is amazing, will purchase again if I spot a color that I haven't got (especially if it has a cool name!)

I got the purple one and was slightly disappointed that once applied it had tiny specks of blue glitter that I could not see when just looking at the bottle. It lasted longer than normal polish would for me, but not as long as I would have expected it too. It started to wear down at the tips from being rubbed against stuff and then kinda started to peel off. I got maybe 3-4 days of good quality wear before it started to deteriorate.

so this lasts longer than regular nail polish, but no where near as long as if you get shellac done at a salon, a week is the most you will get out of this. It definitely lasts better on toes than fingers. Nice colour range. i will use this over my other nail polish but probably won't be buying any more
