I bought two sets of this polish, so 9 bottles in total, and of course they were pretty great value so I could not resist.
The names of all the colored ones are gambling related! Slightly strange. I ended up with two top coats.
The colour is very thick. The instructions say two coats is all you need- no base coat. I found the result of two coats no good- uneven- super thick in some bits and see through in others. The brush is big- it is like a double brush with two sets of bristles. After some practice I can paint more evenly to avoid thick and thin patches but it is an effort. The thickness of the formula is a turn off as it takes so long to dry that it inevitably gets scuffs and dents before it has dried totally. You definitely need a warm sunny day to get it to dry properly. It works better on my toes (I guess because it's easier to leave it to dry).
The gem is the top coat, it gives a lovely glassy finish. I use it over any brand of polish for a super, shiny finish.
I recommend the top coat- but the colors still have me on the fence.
When farmers had a sale on these I wanted to give these a try. Gel nail polishes have been a huge hit this year . I'm planning on trying out more. I got mine in a set with flat colours one top coat and one sparkle. Whats weird is that each colour seemed to have a different type of consistency and strength in colours.
These come in clear bottles so the colour is visable. I have four colours . The consistency of them is thick. But some are thin. They smell like chemicals.
The first colour I tried was a peach. Its called Jokers wild. Though the consistency of this is medium to thick I found I had to layer it on to get vibrancy of colour. It was a streaky mess.
Second colour I tried is a deep violet purple sparkle with glitter in it. Its called show time. Its quite opaque in the beginning stages of dry time but builds up into a bright colour. No streaks no mess . Excellent finish.
Third colour I have is Royal flush. Its a vibrant pink. Medium to thick coverage. I put two coats on and it was fine. Full colour but took quite a while to dry. Didn't last longer than a day and chipped.
Fourth colour is my favourite Teal. Its called Dealers Choice. This has a silver shimmer going through it. A lovely vibrant colour it held for 4 days and then it began to chip.
Overall the colours of these were great. Some were better than others. Im not sure why this happened. The consistency seemed inconsistent amongst each colour. They all had the same process of nail colouring too. Would I buy them again. I would but I would be selective with what I choose. I think they are priced high. Could be cheaper. Great packaging and brush just be wary of the consistency between colours. Drying time did take quite long.
