I got a few different shades of the colourburst balm last year and I am impressed with the colour pay off and how long the colours last on the lips. I've found some of them to be a little "minty" and give my lips a funny sensation which I'm not too fond of.
I do like how long they last and how easy they are to apply though, good for chucking on when I am in a hurry and want something a little glossier. I would been keen to try out the matte version of these as well as I assume those would also probably last for even longer.
Also, really great for ladies on a budget as you can pick them up really cheap and they are great quality!
I picked up one of these babies for half price from a big bucket sale in Auckland (in "bitten"), and it's so versatile! On initial application the balm feels moisturizing but this wears away just like with a regular lip balm. The colour however, hangs around! I find it to be buildable, and if I layer it up it's not uncommon to find colour still present even the next day! The shade I chose is very nice though and I like to just swipe some regular balm over the light tint stain. Very pretty! It also has a light minty scent which i find pleasant if a little odd for a product I thought of more as a lipstick. Now I want them all!
Tips: As others have reviewed, there are three types of pencils that Revlon produce. I find the balm stain the best, I have a matte balm tube as well. Note the Matte Balm and Lacquer Balm are different product ranges though the packaging is similar! The Matte and Lacquer don't "stain" at all. Keep a separate balm handy to keep your lips moisturized if you don't want to build up too much colour by using this product repeatedly.
