e.l.f Eyelid Primer Review

If you ever get eczema avoid this like the plague. I wore this for one day and as a result had an eczema flare up on my eyelids which was incredibly painful. I felt like my eyelids had been papercut. Even if I didn't react to this I still wouldn't recommend it. It still creases and is the product is thin and watery. I prefer the jordana eye primer 100%

I was excited to try this, as I have oily, hooded eyelids. They are a bane on my existence.

The bottle reminds me of a lip gloss, as does the applicator.

I got this in the hopes that it would somehow keep my eye shadow ON my lids and not let it sliiiiiide its way into my creases. I also got it because it was cheap, and I heard great reviews about it.

Sadly, it didn't help. Not even a little bit. It actually navigated its way into my creases itself after 30 minutes or so.

I think it is definitely better suited to girls with normal eyelids that aren't oily like mine.

I got this from my local Kmart when ELF he just arrived in NZ. I was excited to try this primer as other primers hadn't worked for me and I was so disappointed...not only was it lumpy, it had an odd consistency. I applied this to my eyelids before my eyeshadow and it made my eyeshadow super difficult to blend. This product is definitely not for me! Don't think I'll purchase it again.

I bought this off iHerb for approximately $3, which in essence is an awesome bargain. I guess I shouldn't expect much for a product that costs $3 but with all the hype behind the brand e.l.f I guess I did expect a little bit more.

I thought the packaging was good, and a sponge applicator is an easy way to apply the product, But, I don't know if it was just my sponge applicator or if it's how they're made but the plastic bit of the wand was poking through the sponge applicator which made it hard to apply without feeling it scrape against my eyelid.

I also found the product didn't blend very well, it almost was staining. I didn't enjoy using it at all.

On a good note it smelt yummy!

I found this on iherb when shopping for other elf cosmetics. And thought I'd give it a go. When it came in the mail my first impression was how cheep it looked. That never fased me. The next mornining when putting on my makeup I applied the eye primer and then the rest of my eye makeup. Weird consistency and not really any help to my shadow. But I thought maybe it'll make them last a long time... Nope. Got to noon and my eyeshaddow was totally creased. Honestly it was only $3 but a total waste of time... Don't recome it at all

I had seen people talking about this so i thought what the heck lets get it because it was so cheap anyway.

It did absolutely nothing! I tried it a few times before i gave it away but it was so bad - my eyeshadow was worse if anything.

I would not rebuy this - luckily it didn't cost much huh :)

Even the packaging was useless - the printing rubbed off straightaway.

I have very dry eyelids just for a reference.

This stuff is very average. It didn't make my eyeshadow stand out if anything it made my eyeshadow crease more and look patchy. I even tried powdering this down with a little setting powder before applying my eyeshadow and it didn't help. Would not recommend

I have tried two of these! different shades each time. One was sheer and the other pearl both were just not at all helpful or good. Would i buy these again? No. I have combination skin and i found the eye shadow ended up oily and creased with these eye shadow primers. It just did not help at all! They are cheap..Yes but don't fall for the price because well it just doesn't work for combination skin.

I don't know if it's just me but this product was really clumpy and really shimmerey which caused my eyeshadow to create ripples on the lid... I used it multiple times with different techniques but I just couldn't get this. It is hard to smooth out on the skin as it clumps and the product rolls off the eyelid I tried smoothing it with the fingers, with a brush and even a beauty blender but it just didn't work for me and the shimmerey consitancy of the product made a crease effect to the eyeshadow applied. However it does work for others really well so maybe it doesn't work for oily skin as well as other skin types.

This was the first eyeshadow primer I had ever tried, ever! I wasn't highly impressed or anything. I am a huge fan of ELF products, but this just didn't really float my boat. I didn't find there was much product in the tube and I didn't notice a difference with the wear of my eyeshadow. However, other people really talk this product up. But personally, I wouldn't recommend it <3
