A'kin Roll On Deodorant

It feels like I have tried nearly every natural deodorant around and so many don't last more than half the day. I have also found that it takes a couple of days or more to "settle in" with a natural deodorant... I read somewhere that it's like a detox period... so they don't work straight away. Not with this deodorant! It worked really well straight away for me. The look of the bottle is nothing fancy, although I do like the colour combination. It's a standard roll on bottle that is easy to use, and not too much comes out at once so you're not wasting it. I chose the Mint and Rose fragrance as they are 2 of my favourite smells, although I would never have thought of mixing them so was intrigued to see whether the fragrance combination worked. It did! The smell is so soft and warming, but at the same time has this invigorating mint underneath. It's really lovely. Does it do what it said it would? Well, I really put it through its paces. I spent a few days in the hot sun paddleboarding and cycling and while i wouldn't say it lasts 24 hours, it certainly lasted most of the day. At the end of a day where I had been hot and sweaty, I only had a very minimal smell of body odour, but I could also still smell a hint of the deodorant too. On a regular day, and after a hot night sleeping, I found that I woke up still confident that I didn't need to get in the shower quickly to freshen up. Definitely better than most other deodorants I've tried, and I never felt like I needed to reapply during the day. It does dry fast and doesn't leave any white marks, and I tested this with a couple of black tops. I will definitely be using this deodorant again and I'm really keen to try the other fragrances. This is my new favorite deodorant. It smells amazing and it actually lasts. I used the rose and mint scent and it's such a lovely scent. Simple easy to use packaging. Leaves no white marks on clothing which is amazing. It's a natural deodorant so it doesn't have the aluminum and extra chemicals most have. By the end of the day i still smelt fresh and had the lovely rose and mint scent present. I am definitely sticking with this deodorant from now on and would 1000% recommend. Love it xx

I liked the packaging colours of this roll on. The size is good too. A pretty typical roll on style with the ball.

The smell is nice, I trialled the Lime & Orange which was pleasant. It goes on nicely and isn’t messy and didn’t see any white marks etc so that’s good.

This deodorant didn’t work as well as I’d hoped though, I’m not super stinky but it really didn’t stand up as a deodorant. My partner and my 11 year old girl also trialled it and they both weren’t that impressed either.

Bit of a shame as it’s 100% natural and vegan. Unfortunately I wouldn’t purchase this again.

The last time I tried a 'Deodorant' vs an 'Anti-Perspirant' was when I was in my 20's and it didn't go well, so I was intrigued to see if technology and time have changed things. Spoiler alert...they have.

I chose the Lime and Orange variant. The rollerball dispensed the product easily and it has a fresh fragrance. No white marks as promised (a pet hate of mine) and in a Summer in Auckland as hot as I can remember where its been stifling in the office it held up without having to be re-applied. Well done A'kin. Now I know I can trust it to protect me, I will absolutely buy it again!

I trialed the lime and orange deodorant and it smelt incredible, if you've ever smelt orange essential oils, it was very similar to that, I would bathe in that scent, and while it did not leave any white marks on my clothes (a huge bonus for me as I mainly wear black) unfortunately by the end of the day, I wasn't smelling too fresh. It could just be because I'm an extra sweaty gal, but I would definitely need to reapply throughout the day, which is just something I can't really do in my line of work. Worked a treat for a short night out, but I wouldn't use it for my day to day use. While it didn't provide me full coverage for the day, I still absolutely loved this deodorant, I love that the packaging is all recycled, and again, the scent is amazing, I just wish it did provide me with full day coverage. I'll be trying it again during the colder months when I'm not as sweaty, but unfortunately not a summer time deodorant.

I really enjoyed using this product as it smelt nice and natural without being overpowering. The consistency was very nice as it was not powdery or heavy or sticky. It was light and an extension of my natural smell. The most important thing was that it lasted for me all day - from after my gym workout at 7am to my evening before I went to bed.

I wanted to like this because I’m all for switching to more natural alternatives. It was nice to apply, no white marks and I like the scent. However, it didn’t give me the protection I needed and halfway through the day I could smell myself which is never a good thing! It has been a particularly sweaty week or so, so maybe it never stood a chance, but my normal deodorant definitely seems to work better :(

I was so impressed with this deodorant. Firstly because it contains no aluminium, parabens or chemicals but also because it lived up to its claim of no white marks left on clothes. The aroma of Geranium and Wood sounds odd but smells divine. The fragrance fades quickly so doesn't compete with your perfume and doesn't make you smell as if you're wearing a deodorant. It dries almost immediately and is non sticky. I gave it a pretty strenuous workout exercise wise and it came thru with flying colours. Some thought has gone into the packaging as the geranium and wood is reflected in the colour, a pretty lilac and sage green. I will make this my new deodorant and highly recommend it.

This roll on works really well, no stinky pits for a full 24hrs as long as you're not sweating buckets doing full on physical activity. Even, then no stinky pits until a few hours afterwards. I got the Geranium and Wood scent, which perfectly matches my current shower gel, the Thank You Geranium & Rosewood and it is a nice subtle scent like fancy candles. I quite like the applicator, I dislike roller balls that don't feel like anything came out. I did have a little itching the first couple of days but as I wore the product that went away. No redness or reactions like I have had with other aluminium free deodorants. I wouldn't rely on it for the gym but for everyday it's good.

I tried the lime and orange scent. It worked well at keeping body odour away and smelled pleasant like lime cheesecake at first but after a few hours it smelled a bit odd. The consistency was more watery than what I've used before but rolled on well and didn't seem to leave white marks on my dark clothing. I would be keen on trying again but in a different scent.
