Maybelline Volum' Express Mega Plush Review

I was so excited to buy this as it's the only mascara from Maybelline I don't own. I love every single one of Maybelline mascaras until I tried this one. For a person who has pathetically short eyelashes like myself, I thought "Mega Plush" was going to give me huge bold, lashes. I was wrong, t did absolutely nothing for me.

The brush has a flexible tip, which I found difficult to control as it's not steady. It gets hardly any product on the brush, which I thought was a good thing, until I tried to put it on. It looked like I wasn’t wearing an mascara at all. It didn't lengthen, thicken, darken - nothing. It did nothing. In an attempt to make the mascara look better, I piled on a second coat, only to have my lashes stick together - and almost impossible to separate. I probably wouldn’t even recommend it for the purpose of the “no makeup makeup look”. It dries like powder, and after a couple hours almost literally falls off, which consequently leaves black residue, making my dark under eye circles even worse.

It was easy to get off, no make up remover needed, but that was probably because there was hardly any mascara on my lashes in the first place.

Overall, thoroughly disappointed. I just spent all that money for a mascara that might as well not exist.

I do like maybelline products however i do not like this one, Its too clumpy when applying and after awhile of wearing it it starts to feel heavy would deffinately not use again...disappointed

I read reviews of the mascara on a beautu site of some sort and decided I'd give it a go.

Well I gave it a go, a few goes but it failed me every time.

I got no volume and certainly no added length. It didn't even push my lashes up!

It flaked off and my gosh did it hurt when it got in my eyes, so do most things that get into your eyes though. It is still a result though that shouldn't of happened!

I'm highly disappointed with this mascara and will not use it again.

I feel like i got a dud one. The product came out clumpy and got all over my skin whenever i would blink, hours after i applied it as well. I got no volume, it just made my lashes black which hello any mascara will do for half the price! It worked good on my bottom lashes but thats about it. Maybe i did get a dud and should try it again sometime but for now its a thumbs down from me.

I was all excited when this one came out, but when I tried it, the excitement went away pretty quickly.

I have never used such a flimsy brush. The actual brush head itself is good, but the bit leading into the top is so weak and gives no stability making the application of the mascara on the lashes kind of difficult. Personally I had to use about 10 coats to get some sort of effect from this mascara.

I will not be buying again

I normally wear false lashes then apply this on top it works well as sometimes my false lashes a already intense, but when i tried this on my real lashes it did nothing for me, i naturally have short lashes this mascara didn't give me length or volume, even when i curled them, i wont be buying this again

There was so much hype and excitement over this new megaplush mascara at the time and i decided to go try it out myself. Well getting straight to the point, I absolutely hated this.

After the curling of my straight lashes hoping that this mascara would give it the volume that it said it would, i was very unimpressed. The mascara wand felt extremely flimsy , like i had no control or precision when applying the mascara. And to top it all off the end result was clumpy lashes. It may be due to the flimsy "flexor brush" but who knows?

One thing for sure is that i will NOT be re purchasing and i do not recommend this mascara; unless you are prepared for disappointment.

I got this mascara as a freebie...I love freebies! I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and I gota say I'm not impressed at all. The formula is very thin and I really struggle to coat all of my lashes. The brush? Too wobbly for me and I find it hard to manoeuvre. The lashes it did get to were left kinda spikey and it really failed to give them any oomph. Usually Maybelline produce my favourites in mascara but I think they really failed with this one. I even tried using a wand from another brand but even that didn't help. I just think the formula is too thin to do anything useful

Well, i'm sad to to say after being sold on the packaging I was not impressed with the Maybelline Volum' Express Mega Plush.

This product would have probably been great, if the brush wasn't bendable. This unfortunately prevented most of the product going on to my eyelashes as pushing the brush against my eyelashes only caused it to bend away and not connect with my eyelashes at all. It kind of felt like it wasn't applying much product at all due to this, and after a few attempts my eyelashes were still not covered in mascara.

I've used a range of similar products, but the had a fixed bent want instead of one that bent as you applied. The brush itself was a good size, and using the product with a different brush was great but I wasn't sold on this, and won't be rebuying.

I was drawn to this mascara by its name and it's cute packaging (as most girls are), but that is definitely where it stops for me. I found the flexible wand very clumsy to use and it was awkward to get back into the tube. The product itself was thick and had a very glue like texture. While applying it with the flimsy wand, you could feel it sticking to your eyelashes. I had trouble getting it off, you definitely need a good makeup remover. Will not be purchasing this again.
