MAC Studio Fix Foundation Fluid SPF 15 Review

My daughter is a Mac freak. She spends $$ on this product. I dont use it myself on a everyday basis, but on special events she will do my makeup and it is just perfect covering.

For so long, I have wanted to try out some MAC foundation to see if it really was as good as everyone makes it out to be.

I'd settled with using Revlon ColorStay for the past few years and after hearing that it's almost a dupe to MAC I didn't really see the point in switching brands.

There was forever that little inkling of curiosity. I didn't know where to begin shade-wise so the lovely lady at the counter helped me find a colour that matched my skin tone - I am Sand Beige with Revlon, and was matched to NW15.

While it is slightly too dark for me, it blends out wonderfully and gives me some colour which is a step closer to being the same shade as my tanned arms without making my face feel too orange.

We both felt that NW13 would be a perfect match for my face but would wash me out due to my tanned arms so I will probably purchase that shade in winter when I go back to my pale self.

I am so glad that they have bought out NW13 and NW10, otherwise I'd be stuck over winter!

The foundation itself has lovely, full coverage without looking caked on and I feel like a brand new woman when I wear it!

It has a strange smell to it, but so does my old Revlon stuff so I'm pretty used to odd smelling foundations.

The only problem is that by the end of the day I look a bit shiny (oily skin) but this is fixed by touching up with powder or blotting paper.\

I don't think I will ever use another foundation.

I have wanted to try this foundation for a long time, as I had heard great things, but as I live in a small town we don't have a local MAC counter. As I was in Hamilton I decided to get colour matched at the MAC counter in Farmers. Wow!! All the hype is true! This product is a medium coverage which can be buildable. It is hydrating for my dry patches and it doesn't cling to these areas. It doesn't feel heavy or look cakey which I absolutely love and look for in a foundation. I do find the scent is quite a chemical one, but I don't notice it when wearing. I recommend this foundation for all the dry skin beauties out there!

This is the foundation I use on a regular basis. It has great coverage but doesn't feel too heavy. It stays on well which I love and really evens out my skintone to hide the few scars and bumps. I'm a stickler for an even, well-cover but natural base and MAC Studio Fix is always my go-to. Love it!

Definitely foundation of choice. Been a loyal MAC follower for a few years now and wouldn't go back. I have sensitive skin so I find this foundation doesn't irritate it and the fact it has sunscreen is a bonus. It doesn't make my face too oily either which is perfect

I did like this at first but then I found it was quiet cakey.

The texture isn't too thick or too runny. It was easy to work with but it just didn't suit my skin type.

It was hard to blend around the brows and looked quiet patchy through out the day. I didn't use a setting powder though, so maybe that was my problem. I have used a few MAC foundations in the past and didn't really get the hype. Definatley gives good coverage though, so no complaints there. I would still recommend it to people as the I found the coverage was great and just because it didn't work for me, it still may work for them. I would probably recommend trying it out with a suited primer and setting powder though.

I love this foundation, have tried other foundations in between but seem to always end up going back to this. It's easily applied and creates a flawless yet natural look, it really is quite amazing. The only issue I have with it is that I find that occasionally after wearing it, particularly out at night, my skin tends to break out the next day more so then with other foundations. If anyone has any tips or reasoning behind this I would love to know!

I have only been using this product for a few weeks and so far I am really liking it. It gives good medium to full coverage and looks so flawless on the skin.

I loved everything about this foundation until I woke up the next morning with a massive pimple, tried twice and the same thing happened both times, so it's obviously just not a good match for my skin. That aside, the foundation was great, went on well and had great coverage.
