To be honest in the past few Years I steered clear from Lip Glosses as I found most of them to be sticky and not as pigmented as I would like so chose Lipstick over Gloss.
I can safely say this product has reignited a love for Gloss!
I trialed Dior Addict Gloss #223 Angelique - a beautiful 'blush' nude/pink.
The packaging is beautiful. A chrome cardboard package. The actual tube/container is gorgeous.. Iconic Dior style/shape with embossed detailing.. 'Dior' on the actual container and 'CD' embossed on the lid. It's clear so you can see the color inside. Container has a mirrored strip where you unscrew the lid so this doubles as a mirror when you need to apply on the go! The applicator is a convenient soft brush for perfect application.
I would describe this Gloss as unscented, a beautiful nude pink which is extremely versatile. Formula is non sticky.. Beautiful to apply. The appearance on the lips is equally as beautiful.. A gorgeous sheer slick of color with an absolutely stunning shine that makes the lips look enhanced and beautified.. And for illuminating/highlight addicts like me.. This definitely brightens the lips and the complexion!
What really sold me on the product was the stayability.. I have never experienced this with Gloss before! I trialed this over a Week and every day without fail I was impressed. I would apply this about 20 mins before drinking my Coffee and even after I had finished I still had a slick of color and a lovely shine! Obviously being a Gloss it does require regular touch ups.. But doesn't just wear off almost instantly like others do!
Highly recommend!
Overall a very luxe product - everything from the box to the tube it comes in with the heavy square package with a large silver knob on the top screams expensive. Definitely a get what you pay for product but despite being gorgeous I probably would never repurchase, one I am not a huge gloss fan in general (but actually like this one which speaks volumes) and secondly I would never shell out that much for one. I am reviewing the shade 'Angelique' I was rather amazed when I got sent this gorgeous shade for review, luck of the draw I guess as I presumed I might get a bright pink or red shade which I wouldn't really use, but this suits my complexion and colouring/preferred look perfectly -a gorgeous beige pinky nude - it's not pink, it's not peach and it's not mauve or brown or orange, it's unlike any nude gloss I have owned before, it gives a glowy look to the face with just a hint of colour, and a lovely milky opaque yet translucent coverage - no streaks here. Looks good on me with or without a liner. Not sticky which I love, more of a siliconey feel, no strong flavour or taste either which I appreciate and a lovely brush applicator which lets you apply a blob of product without getting all your germs in there, which means it will last a long time before I have to biff it out. Overall a lovely gloss, which appeals to me who doesn't really care for lipglosses and gives a lovely fresh nude lip.
