My fave so far

This is definitely one of my favorite mascaras so far that I have used that is affordable and not too priced for what it offers.

It definitely gives a very strong, dramatic look making your eyelashes look longer thicker, darker and fuller. It also lasts for most of the day where eyelashes don't look so tired and flat.

Tips: Don't apply too much as after a while when ithe mascara dries out it looks too thick and eyelashes stick together. Apply 2 coats fairly quickly to achieve the desired look.

Does what it says

I was so fortunate to receive this in the 'ball season' BBBE. I'm so bad, verrrry bad, I already have a couple of mascaras open and on the go but I opened this as soon as I received the box. I think I wanted to know if it really could give the butterfly wing effect, I mean come on could it REALLY?

Packaging wise this comes in a larger than needed box, but the colours of metallic green and purple look pretty and very appealing. The packaging of mascara tube is funky in a mirrored silver finish.

I open the tube the be greeted by a smell, a familiar kind of smell, it's the Natio brand scent that I dislike, it's like an aloe Vera/perfume kind of scent. It's quite strong but I'm still interested to see this brush. I am then looking at the brush, rubber looking bristles that a long for the 1st third of the wand and the rest look very short and stubby. It is sort of curved and it is making me wonder how it's going to 'flutter' my lashes.

I start applying to my top lashes and I do notice my lashes spread out and give that butterfly wing effect, I really didn't think it would work but it did. The formula of the mascara is very wet I find it takes quite a while for it to dry. So I try my best not to look up or down so I'm not getting mascara around my eye. I apply 2 coats and it gives good length and makes my lashes look thick.

I love this mascara for something a bit different than the usual. I love how this product does live up to its claim, I was very sceptical at first. Since I received this I haven't reached for any other mascaras and would probably repurchase again.

Lashes that could fly

The packaging is stylish and simple and shows the silver mascara enclosed. The box promises of a brush that catchs every lash, volumises and lengthens...and guess what it does just that!!!

The brush is a unique design that I have not seen before. It glides over my lashes with each application and covers each lash. Definitley thickens them without any clumping what so ever.

The feature I am most impressed with is how this mascara makes the ends of my lashes curl! I dont use a curling wand at all, but it looks like I have every time I use this mascara.

I would without a doubt reccomend this mascara, and have got compliments on how long my lashes are each time I have worn it.

I really like how it stays on all day without having to reapply it, it doesn't seem to smudge or wear off either.

Very easy to remove, I just used a light wash face to remove and wasn't left with panda eyes.

Totally a lovely mascara at a really reasonable price! Would I buy it - absolutely!!!!

Tips: Buy it!!

false lash butterfly effect

i left it until the very last minute to review this because i wanted to try it every way i could before i reviewed, thinking maybe my technique (that works brilliantly for all other mascaras) wasn't the best, but it turns out it really is down to this mascara. i wanted to love it! I really did! okay so it's lovely packaging. it come in a pretty silver tube, and at 7 ml it's a decent amount of product. The formula is fairly wet, which I'm personally not a fan of, as I find wet formulas stick my lashes together and give me spider eyes, but some people like wetter ones so that's just personal preference, but this one did give me spider lashes, and it didn't volumise. It really just stuck my lashes together in a long, skinny mess. it does make them long, I did notice it built up the ends, but nothing spectacular, and it didn't spread my lashes out. I was really intrigued by the assymetrical brush, but it actually made it more difficult to build. This certainly isn't a one coat mascara, and this oddly shaped brush just meant I couldn't really stroke or wiggle very easily. it also says it's a no clump mascara, but the second you try to build, it clumps up and you have hunks stuck to your lashes. You can't comb it out because it makes it worse, and if you use a clean wand it spreads the super wet formula everywhere. little specks under my eyes! If you try to do it once it dries, it crumbles away and leaves you with no mascara. Yes. It's a crumbly mascara. My pet hate! It crumbles away if anything goes near your eyes, gets into your eyes and scatters little mascara rocks all over your face. The only plus there is that it cleanses off easily, and this crumbly texture meant it didn't smudge. I wanted to love it. So much. But this was a miss for me. I'm glad I got to trial this because I'd have been really annoyed of I had paid $26 for this.

Tips: One really light sweep over the tips can make your lashes pretty and a little longer, but I wouldn't try using this for a dramatic look, like the way it's advertised. This isn't a false lash look mascara, just use falsies. I also have naturally very long lashes, which is possibly why the formula was too messy for me- my lashes touch my skin, especially on the bottom, so if you're a long lashed girl, maybe a drier formula could be a better option, or skip the lower lashes.

I didn't realise that the wetness of mascara can affect the final finish. Really informative review. Thank you.

Interesting Brush with a Nice Gel-like Formula

I really did like this- it made my lashes look really thick and long. It had minimal flaking and was non-irritating to my particularly sensitive eyes. The brush was interesting. One side has really long bristles which I loved! It really gets to the roots. And I love the gel-like formula. It's less inky than other mascaras, and it really feels like its coating the entire lash. It even smells quite nice, sort of conditioner-y. Though one qualm- but I have this with pretty much all non-waterproof mascaras- is that is doesn't hold my curl. (I have to use an eyelash curler to avoid looking like like Sesame Street's Mr. Snuffleupagus.

Tips: I found this takes a little longer to dry than other mascaras, so don't bat your eyes at someone (or your reflection) immediately after applying.
