A great idea

I did love the idea of this product and was excited to see how it would work. Whilst in theory it should be perfect for my rather diminished eyebrows, it actually isn't. I did want it to work and tried several times to apply the gel, however I found it a bit wet and while trying to plump the brows I kept smudging and the effect wasn't good at all. I do think that if I had slightly more brow it would be a great product; its not shiny or sticky and basically not hard to apply. So don't let my views put you off! It's back to a pencil and brush for me.

Not what I expected

Okay so I usually leave my eyebrows up to the experts because I'm afraid I'll completely mess it up :)

I accepted the trial as I thought it would be a good start to doing my own eyebrows.

When the product arrived it didn't have any packaging and no instructions or tips on how to use the product :(

So I just went ahead and used the product. The brush size I thought was good, but as I have nothing to compare it to im not sure if that's what there all like.

When I applied the product it just seemed so thick even though there wasn't a lot on the brush and it made my eyebrows look wet and not very nice.

Afterward when it had dried it didn't look like I had used anything at all and I couldn't even tell what it was supposed to do. I didn't notice any difference to my eyebrows.

Maybe I need a little more experience with eyebrow products, but when I don't have much instruction or tips to help me I found it a little hard.

Sorry of my review wasnt helpful :(

Tips: Only use if you know what your doing and have experience with similar products

Unfortunately nothing special

My natural brows are not particularly full, so brows have never really been my thing; however I was excited to try this product because it claims to volumise your brows by adding little fibres which I thought could be a nice way to make my brows look thicker, but naturally. So I was a little disappointed when I received the clear gel because I thought I had asked for the dark brunette version. I personally do not think L’Oreal should be selling the clear gel as a ‘brow plumper’ because it is not. It is merely a setting gel and should be advertised as such – ‘L’Oreal Paril Clear Brow Setting Gel.’ Now to setting gel itself: It works fine, but really it’s nothing special. I have been using it with my regular brow pencil, and it does help to set the brows in place. I was caught in heavy rain yesterday and my brows hadn’t shifted which I was impressed by. I like the mini brush head as it makes it easy to target little sections of the brow and makes sure the gel is only on the brow and not all around it too. A downside is that if you use a bit too much gel it can set your eyebrows a little bit too hard and they can look a bit cakey. I had to rub some off with a cotton tip the first time I over applied. I don’t really think there is much to set the gel apart from any others like it. Though I do like that it’s not too pricey, so I would probably purchase again if I couldn’t find a cheaper brow gel. I would love to try the actual brow plumper with tint and fibres in it, to see if it does what it claims, so I will probably purchase it in the future to give it a chance and see if it wows me more than the clear gel.

Not for me - Clear Gel

I was so excited when I got the chance to try this product. Ive recently upped my brow game by getting my eyebrows tattooed.

I received the clear gel. I thought this product would just add even more awesomeness and really plump them up, after all that's in the name but it didn't do that at all.

I tried it fr a few day in a row, with and without a pencil product to see if there were better ways of using it. Unfortunately the results were all the same.

The gel felt sticky but dried ok, wasn't too stiff. I was worried it would go crispy like hairspray but it didn't. I even tested a few girls at work and the husband by just doing it to one brow, no-one could tell the difference.

I did like one thing about it, which was it does get the hairs nicely sculpted. I have long eyebrow hairs and I did keep them super tidy but that's not enough for me to re-purchase.

I would be interested to get the brown gel one to see if that's any better for me, but i'm not racing out to buy it.

Transparent Tidy Brows

I received this product to trial and requested dark, but alas was sent transparent ( I have very sparse eyebrows and was keen to see the colour build up) I actually had to google the purpose of transparent eye brow gel as I was not sure why one would need it!! My quick research led me reframing my expectations - transparent gel should set the brows and keep them tidy during the day.

The brow plumper comes in a tube and is very similar to mascara. I really liked the short stiff brush for applying the product but if it were coloured, I would have liked it to have more of an angle so that you could apply colour precisely. The product reminded me of hair gel- it felt wet and took about ten minutes to dry. Upon drying, my eyebrows felt quite stiff and almost crunchy. My eyebrows looked neat and tidy for the whole day, but I needed to add a coloured pencil so that I could fill in where my eyebrows are sparse. Would I add this to my beauty routine? The transparent one- nope. It didn't add enough magic for me to want to add yet another step to my routine. I am keen to read other reviews of the coloured brow plumpers to see if I should buy that instead.

Tips: Make sure not to apply too much- it takes awhile to dry.

Not Sold On It

I was so excited to be accepted into this trial! The L'Oreal Paris Brow Artist Plumper seemed like the perfect product! Fast, easy and would make my brows look amazeballs. Unfortunately, I found it anything but!

When it arrived, it came with no instructions at all so if you haven't used a brow product like this before you'll need to wing it or Google tutorials to get the application right. The packaging however was great. I love that the colour of the product is on the lid.

I chose the dark brown and I was very happy that it was a true cool toned dark brown. A lot of other products I've tried are very warm toned, almost reddy which isn't the look I'm going for! The wand itself I personally thought could be a smidge smaller. Maybe I just have smaller brows than most, but I struggled to apply the product to just my brows and not the skin around them also.

I found the L'Oreal Paris Brow Artist Plumper formulation to be wetter than I had imagined. It was hard to work with as it didn't go on evenly and I ended up looking like I'd wet my brows and chucked a bit of car engine grease in them LOL!

I don't know, maybe I just need more practise but I am not sold on this product. The idea of it is great, but it's just not right for me unfortunately.

Tips: - This product might not be right for you if you have thinner brows.

- Definitely Google tutorials before just diving in if you've not had any experience with this type of product before

L'Oreal Paris Brow Artist Plumper Review

I was really looking foward to trying this product. I haven't tried anything like it before & the whole idea of it was pretty exciting. I had opted for the Brown, but recieved Translucent. No instructions - but wasn't worried as looked straightfoward. Liked the little wand applicator - not too big & way easier than a brush etc. I was pleasantly suprised that there wasn't any smell too. I noticed it went on kind of like a gel...but didn't really notice any plumping as such. I did notice once it dried, there were afew dired out white bits through my eyebrows - not heaps, but enough for me to notice & have to clean off. So sadly - noting really happened that I could notice...would happily try it again in a colour maybe instead of translucent, but at this stage I certainly wouldn't consider buying it or recommending it. Thanks!! :o)

L'Oreal Paris Brow Artist Plumper

Ok. So I have quite sparse brows, that and brown and blonde just like my lashes.

I tend to darken my brows to make them look fuller and one colour.

I received the transperant shade to trial.

I was really hoping for the Brunette, so I could fill in my brows.

So I thought I would try the gel under my usual brow powder.

Unfortunately it leaves the gel in pieces along my brows, I do not think this would be good on dark brows alone the gel is left behind.

Best for light brows.

The gel doesn't seem to set quickly and applying powder over top works ok.

I am going to purchase the Brunette to see how that one fills in the gaps in my brows.

The gel has a pleasant scent and is very easy to apply , the short mascara wand is very easy to use along the curve of the brow.

It's really like hair gel for the brows. :)

Tips: Wait for it to set before applying brow powder lol.

Meh.

As someone who has naturally full brows, this probably wasn't a perfect product for me to purchase. However I wanted something that I could use for those days where I felt too lazy to use my Anastasia dip brow to make my brows look a little less unruly and tidier.

I have the shade medium/dark, which is a good match for my very dark brows.

The packaging for this is the same as a mascara except this has a much smaller brush than a mascara wand. This makes it ideal for getting into your brows without smearing the product everywhere. Once I have used this product up I will keep the brush as I do really like it.

This isn't super pigmented - which is kind of good as it makes it almost foolproof to use. When I use this it helps fill my brows in a little but not a whole lot. If you are looking for something to really fill them in then I wouldn't suggest this.

The biggest gripe I have with this product is the fact that it makes my brows feel crunchy after using it. I really don't like this as I like my brows for feel soft and natural - not hard and stiff.
