i used it as a leave in conditioner without rinsing them off it makes my hair smell so good , just do not apply it onto your scalp directly cause it will make your roots get oily more quickly ,so i like to use it as a conditioner and rinse it off .

I had heard great things about this hair treatment, and decided to try it when I saw it on sale at Pak n Save during the August level 4 lockdown. My hair is dry and frizzy, and this adds a lot of moisture, and helps smooth it out. I use it as a hair mask after applying shampoo and conditioner, and as a leave-in conditioner on wet and dry hair. A little goes a long way! There is still lots in the container even after using it several times a week since August.
This conditioner has great slip and it perfect to help detangle. I have thick curly hair and this is my favourite hair food variety. For a low cost deep conditioner it's fab. It's great that it is mutli use- deep condish, condish, and leave in.
Tips: Be aware that all the varieties have different recipes and some are not as good as others.
This is perfect! I always use this as either a conditioner or as a leave in hair treatment for a few hours! Smells exotic and purifying. Down to earth this product is i have tried every single flavour for my hair. This one is the best by far. :)
Tips: Leave conditioner in for as long as possible.
I was only able to try this for 1 week, but that was enough to have me sold on it! The scent smells to me of actual bananas, not that horrible fake banana smell, and I love that. I used it both as a conditioner after the shampoo bar, and also as a leave-in on the mid length and ends of my hair. It doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it greasy, and I’ve found the scent lasts all day. The fact that this is a multi-usage product; a conditioner, mask and leave-in treatment, makes it both convenient and a money saver too.
This product is 98% plant origin, and is packaged in a large, easy open tub, which gets ticks in my book.
The hair food has a lovely rich consistency, making it easy to take the perfect amount out of the pot, using my index finger tip, and a small amount is all that's needed. It does what it says, giving my short, fine hair essential volume and extra body, when I use it as a conditioner or a mask.
However, the fragrance is way too overpowering and very sickly sweet. I nearly fell backwards when I took the lid off and got the first whiff, and no, I didn't stick my nose in the pot! The heat of the shower water intensified the smell, making it quite difficult for me to leave the mask on for too long. Even once washed off, I could still smell the sickly fragrance.
Will I add it to my shopping list? No. the fragrance is too off-putting.
I joined the Curly Girl Facebook page, as I have wavy hair, and this was highly rated by other Curly Girls, so I thought “why not give it a go?”. Firstly I feel the tub isn’t very handy to work with in the shower, I think it needs to be in a bottle. The smell reminds me of banana lollies, which is that kind of a fake, chemically smell but it’s not too overpowering. It’s nice and thick and is easily spread through hair and washes out well enough. I did like how my hair felt at the start but it didn’t really stop the dryness at my ends as much as I’d hoped. I must admit it is good as a hair mask but I don’t feel it’s good for long term or daily use.
Tips: Good for a weekly hair mask
Garnier Fructis Hair Food conditioners are tailored to suit your hair care needs. The banana flavour is wonderful at hydrating and softening hair. After a year of using these conditioners (alternating flavours from time to time), my hair has become thicker again and super soft and silky.
The price of these are incredibly cheap and they work wonders on your hair. I usually just pick one up from the supermarket when I do my grocery shop. I love the packaging of these products. It allows you to scoop how much you desire, and you are able to use the entirety of the product compared to tubes and bottles, where there is always product left over that you cannot get out.
Smells great, does a great job for my dry hair and works really well to detangle it.
I use it twice a week as a conditioning treatment in the shower
Tips: You only need a little bit as it goes a long way
I absolutely love this Garnier product. I use it as a mask or conditioner. It makes my hair soo smooth, shiny and smells AMAZING. It's my favourite conditioner. I like to leave it in my hair for 1+ hours to really get the moisturizing benefits. Highly recommend. I already want to try all the other scents!
Tips: Leave it in your hair as a mask for super hydrated locks!
