Each bristle is physically formed into a smooth round sphere, like a delicate gem, free of sharp edges. The ultra-soft flexible bristles are designed with heat formed tips to ensure the lifetime of the hairbrush.

The Mita GEMTIP detangling brush is super flexible with long & short thin bristles to remove tangles effortlessly, painlessly & reduce hair breakage. The two-length bristles work perfectly to detangle and massage the hair whilst massaging the scalp. The GEMTIP’s will also gently clean dandruff & dirt away from the scalp for healthier hair.

The GEMTIP’s are resistant to shampoo and conditioner to help to spread shampoo more evenly along the hair and rinse the shampoo away quickly without snagging or pulling on wet hair.

The Mita GEMTIP is suitable to use on wet or dry hair.

Perfect for wet or dry hair

I have been using this brush for almost 2 weeks now and I really like it, I have super long and thick hair so I am always cautious of hair brushes damaging my hair and causing split ends. This hair brush was gentle on my hair, never felt it tugging on my hair and its price point is pretty great. It worked great especially with wet hair, I usually put on a hair serum while my hair is wet and I brush it out using this brush, it worked really really well for that purpose.

Tips: Use it to apply hair conditioner or a hair mask, it works even better on wet hair and will distribute the product without making too much of a mess. The brush is easy to wash.

A great all purpose brush

I’ve been using this for a couple of weeks now, both on wet and dry hair. It’s been fantastic for my scalp (this is the only change I’ve made) and it feels great! Would definitely recommend.

Tips: I use it when my hair is both wet and dry, but also find it works really well when applying a hair mask to get it evenly distributed throughout your hair.

Very versatile and great quality.

To start off this review, I'd like to say I have fine curly hair (which moults constantly) and usually use a boar bristle brush.

I found the brush very easy to use, it didn't snag my hair and it didn't end up frizzy when the brush was used on dry hair - which is something I'm prone to. When used on wet hair, it brushed through with ease and was very easy styling.

Moreover, I feel as though I didn't lose as much hair as usual, making it very easy to clean. It was also easy to clean due to the make-up of the brush, the bristles are held in by a plastic spiral shape (instead of an air filled puffy thing which can fill up with water). The spiral shape still allowed the brush to have some spring/movement, but it dried quickly.

It was also apparent that the tips are a part of the bristle - hence they are unlikely to break away from it, which can happen to other brushes can causing the bristles to become scratchy.

Lastly, a great to perk to this brush is it can be used in the shower to distribute shampoo evenly. Which I think is a real bonus.

So far I'm very happy with the Mita Gemtips brush, and the above features, I believe means it will serve me well for a long time.

Tips: Use both wet and dry, either in or out of the shower.

Just adding to my review now that a bit of time has past since the review trial - this is now my main brush and my old one has become obsolete.

Still on the fence with this one

I have really curly hair that has a mind of its own and quite hard to tame. Prior to using this brush, I was using the Mita TanglePro brush. I tried this brush on dry hair first, and I struggled a bit to get it through my hair. I found the bristles to be too flexible and it would kind of get tangled in my curls. I did eventually get all the knots out, but in the end, my hair was bigger than Diana Ross’. I did like how the brush performed when my hair was wet. When wet, it was so easy to detangle my hair. Especially when I was spreading conditioner through my hair! I’m sure it actually made the whole hair wash process slightly quicker, as I’m normally spending majority of the time getting knots out. Overall, loved the brush when my hair was wet or when I was washing my hair (just the conditioner part - I wasn’t game enough to try brushing with shampoo). Did not like when I dry brush. I’m going to definitely keep using this in the shower, but I’m going to stick to my Mita TanglePro. This brush will be perfect for my daughter who has quite straight hair, so she will probably enjoy this brush more than me.

Tips: No tips. But even though this review is not the most positive for the brush, I still recommend trying it. It’s so affordable, and if you don’t like it, there will be someone in your family who will :)

GEMTIPS hairbrush

Reviewed as part of of a trial team. Don't be fooled by the appearance of this brush, to be honest I wasn't super impressed when I first saw this, it looked very light and flimsy. However the lightness of the handle makes this brush super easy to manoeuvre, the bristles are flexible and doesn't tug and just gently detangles my thick hair and the tips massage my scalp each time I brush. Washing and rinsing my hair with shampoo and conditioner is a breeze with this brush. I have really enjoyed using this brush.

Looks Great but Didn't Help

I was really excited to try this! I have long, thick hair so I am always battling with tangles. However, I was very disappointed with this brush. I don't like how it's very flexible as I prefer something more sturdy that has the strength to help with knots and tangles and I found it to take much longer to brush out the tangles. It looks great but unfortunately to me, just didn't work with my hair.

Tips: A great spare to keep in the car!

Mita Gemtips detangling brush

I was happy to receive this hair brush as I definitely was in need of it. The handle is sturdy and curved to fit in your hand nicely. There's a hole in the end so you can hang it up if you wish - I don't think people really do this but thinking about it is a good idea so that you do not loose it. I tend to loose my brushes. Often they are found later the car or bags or lying around.y daughter has hated having her hair brushed for a long time she would scream because she was afraid of it hurting before I have even started to brush so I have a very soft type brush with sort of frizzy soft bristles for them but it does not really detangle the knots easily it more polishes the hair. The Mita Gemtips detangling brush bristles are set up in a sequence of two bristles a long and a short directly close together then you have a space and another long and short bristles and so on and so fourth. I find this brush really nice on the scalp not scratchy it feels nice. I have used it on wet hair and dry. It's probably one of the nicest brushes I've ever had. The base has a spiral I'm guessing so that air can get through between brushing maybe to help with volume and freashing like the description is flexible I'm not sure how I feel about that flexible part though it seems like it might break easily? I don't know. Anyway it's so nice to use and doesn't really pull or snag. It feels like you get a scalp massage. Nice for me and my daughter's my 0artner wanted to give it a whirl too and he had no complaints. Thank you BR for this useful product.

I have very soft hair now!

I have been using Mita Mita GEMTIPS Detangling Brush for over a week now. I love this hair brush so much! It makes my hair softer, and I don’t have that tangled hair when I brush mine. The design of the brush is so good, the white colour of the brush brings a contrast to my hair makes it easier to remove the hairs in the brush and cleaning it. Definitely recommend it to everyone! There will be no more tangled hair when brushing, even ehen you have the driest hair!

Tips: I used them both in shower and when My hair dries. I have a long hair, so it’s so good to use Mita GEMTIPS Detangling Brush to spread the shampoo and conditioner evenly. Afterwards, it’s very easy to clean and dry it.

Gentle Detangling hairbrush

My daughter and I have very long fine hair that tangles easily. Brushing my daughter's hair was always a nightmare but the Mita Gemtips Hairbrush makes detangling her birds nest a breeze. The long fine tips are multi-coloured (hence the name gem tips) and go through the hair to the scalp gently detangle while massaging the scalp. The flexible paddle not only looks great, with it's cool design, it also moulds to your scalp and minimizes pulling. The Mita gemtips hair brush leaves our hair silky and tangle free and doesn't pull or stretch wet hair.

Tips: Start brushing from the bottom while holding hair at the roots to minimise pulling on really tangled hair.

Pretty colors!

Every gal lives a hairbrush, and a "free" hair brush is even better! Its a beautiful white brush that contrasts lovingly with the colorful bristles.

I am not used to the fandangly back that moves with your head as you brush. I don't know if i like it or not. I've used it daily since receiving, both morning and night, and I'm still very.. ?? About it. However in the shower with wet hair, the moving back works to the users advantage.

I'm very used to my tangle teeze brush, so using this is very different. It does glide through hair effortlessly, and it seems to gently snag my tangles and undo them with the fingers of a loving mother.

In the shower its a huge NO for me. It certainly does brush shampoo!! Through the hair easily, as well as conditioner, but the amount of fallout/breaking/damaged hair that came with it was not cool. I don't even get that amount when i bleach my roots. So for a brush that claims to minimize these problems, I'm not impressed. It does not do it while dry, though, but it was also not specified.

I have not noticed my hair being any cleaner but it does feel slightly nicer from the massage the bristles give. Mr Shaz brushed his hair and it afro'd out (he has curly hair) but he quite likes it. I also like it for brushing baby Shaz's hair.

I like this brush, but i don't think I'm a fan of the moving back, and i am certainly not using this in the shower again.

Tips: Great for combing hair masks through wet or dry hair :)
