Great conditioner

Like the shampoo , this product has a slightly medicinal smell, which I don't love but its not offensive. It is a creamy consistency and you only need a little through the dry lengths and ends of your hair. It does a good job of giving a nice moisturised finish without weighing the hair down too much. My brush went through my wet hair without any problem, which impressed me, as I thought that after cleansing it with the Clay shampoo it might be a bit dry, but the Clay conditioner is a perfect match to the shampoo. I really like these two together.

Tips: Don't use too much and only on the dry parts, don't put on your roots.

L'Oreal Extraordinary Clay Conditioner

I was lucky enough to be able to trial this complete hair care range. This conditioner is the 3rd product in the oil free range.

This conditioner comes in a 250ml aqua/blue plastic bottle and costs $ 6.59. A steal!

The colour is almost white and the consistancy is pretty similar to most other conditioners.

I firstly shampoo my hair with shampoo from the same range and then apply this condioner. I leave it in my hair while I wash myself, usually 2-3 minutes. It rinses away easily and then I towel dry my hair.

I finish off my hair with my hairdryer. It looks shiney and oil free and it so soft to touch.

The proof is in the pudding they say. Onto the next morning and happily all I have to do is brush my hair and pop it into my usual work pony tail. I am so happy with this range, 2 days without washing my hair, I cant really recall when that has happened.

This range is an absolute winner for me.

Tips: You will be amazed, if you have oily hair, please give this range a go, you owe it to yourself.

Clay conditioner

I am cursed with oily hair, that I need to wash to wash my hair every day, and at a stretch maybe every second day, which tends to be a bit greasy up top and frizzy elsewhere. So a product promising to help with this is exciting.

The Clay Shampoo can be a bit drying (probably because it is stripping out the oils), so the conditioner is definitely needed. It is easy to apply and rinse out, and also made combing my hair easy too. It is quite thick like the shampoo, so using too much weighed my hair down a bit. Lesson learned! It did leave my hair soft and silky - though this wears off by days 2 and 3 (though probably due to using the dry shampoo).

I love the turquoise/aqua colour of the bottle, but I do prefer see through bottles so I can see how much product I have left. And even though the shampoo and conditioner bottles are different in that one sits upright and vice versa, they are still too similar and I would still get them mixed up. Maybe just too early in the morning for me.

Overall it is a good conditioner. Not sure if on it's own it would help with oily roots but is designed to be used in conjunction with the mask, shampoo, and dry shampoo. For those reviews - check them out under those products.

Tips: Use a small amount and avoid your roots. Used too much on my first go which I think made my hair oilier quicker.

Thin but still weighed my hair down?

I'm not feeling this Extraordinary Clay range, I'm sorry L'Oreal. This conditioner was maybe the worst of the lot. It was very runny and thin, which I was surprised about—even though I have oily-tending hair, I like a rich balmy conditioner. Despite the thin consistency, it managed to weigh my hair down and it looks limp, lank and flat even immediately after washing.

Nothing special

I was sent this conditioner, thanks to BR, along with the rest of the Elvive Extraordinary Clay Range. I'm feeling like a whingebag... This whole range did not live up to expectations... The conditioner, that said, to my mind, is the best product out of the four products I received. The conditioner left my hair soft, untangled, and hydrated. However in summary, my hair roots are just as oily as it always and, my hair has lots of flyaways and just, well, doesn't look as nice as it usually does. I won't be repurchasing this - I like to use sets of shampoos and conditioners and there's better conditioners out there for my hair type, including at the price that this is available for (i.e. other Elvive conditioners)

Would Recommend!

I'd read a few reviews about this product and although i don't have very oily hair, i thought that my hair was prone to be quite itchy on the second day/day of needing a wash so I bought this and tried it out and thought that it was quite good and did what it said it would.

The smell that I'd read that was 'overpowering' and chemical smelling, i didn't find to be that strong or chemical smelling. I found that the smell was quite subtle and you don't really pick up unless you were smelling it for ages.

But anyways. I thought it was a good conditioner and although didn't provide me with immediate silky soft hair, after blowdrying, it was manageable and very nice and the smell i quite liked too. I no longer had itchy scalp/hair on the second day after washing so I think it wasn't as oily as it usually got. I also used this for a week so it wasn't just the one-off use.

A conditioner that pairs...

..well with its Shampoo counterpart. When combined and used correctly on the mid lengths and ends of the hair I would definitely say that this shampoo kept my hair and roots feeling fresh for 48hrs (even in a humid environment) This I think is mostly to do with the fact that I avoided application to the roots. While this left my hair feeling lovely and fresh it wasn't particularly nourishing for my damaged ends.

I do have to note here that the bottle states 72hrs of fresh roots compared to the BR website, but I can tell you 48hrs is the longest I could go before I felt oily.

As with the shampoo I really enjoyed the salon fresh scent of the cream, the packaging is gorgeous in aqua blue/green and the price is great value.

Would I purchase again...I would in the case of a special where the shampoo and conditioner were sold together, but I wouldn't seek this out, when I could use something else that has more of an effect on my damaged ends.

Not for me...

I always feel bad when I place a bad review or even a slightly below average review. I have tried this product and I keep trying to see if it will get better but for my hair it just didnt do anything for me. I have natural hair on the top and bleach blionde ends.... think ombre but really grown out. I get oily roots when it is close to wash day and I wash my hair twice a week.

Using this product in the shower (obviously hahaaha), I like how it sat with the tops down which would mean the product would be easy to get that last little bit out (big plus). It has a pleasant clean smell (I am more of a OMG fruit or OMG sweet tasty wonder smell fan myself). It glides on easily and seemed to wash out easily. But when I dried my hair it felt heavier? It felt weird, something was off and I have no idea what it was.

It did remove the oil but it left my hair feeling bla. I do not need help feeling bla! By day 3 my hair was oily and gross perhaps more than usual. I think this really didnt agree with my hair type.

I did give it a good try and it did do what it said it would. It just also made my hair heavier and feel weird.

Tips: Test it for yourself to see how it sits with your hair.

Extraordinary Clay Detox Conditioner

I was lucky enough to be selected to trial this range thank you BR. I have very oily roots so was eager to see if this could make a difference. I typically have to wash my hair every second day.

It comes in a aqua colored bottle that stands upside down. It has a lovely scent and the consistency is thick and white.

Just like any conditioner, apply to your mids to ends of hair. Leave for a couple of minutes and then rinse throughly.

It was easy to rinse out and left my hair silky smooth with no knots. Once my hair was dry, it looked extremely soft and had a lovely shine.

I would recommend

Tips: Use in conjunction with the Clay Rebalancing Shampoo and Mask.

Squeaky Clean

The conditioner is good. I think even if I didn't use the clay mask I would consider using just the shampoo and conditioner by themselves. Lovely fragrance and easy to work with. The conditioner feels silky and I tend to apply more liberally to my ends than roots.

I didn't have a problem with my hair dye washing out - very minimal if any.

Tips: You might feel a bit dry and frizzy once the hair is dried but I reckon it's all about the blowout. Use the direction nozzle if you have one. I also use a spritz of light conditioner on my ends.
