L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense Conditioner Review

I really, really wanted this product to do what is said it would, i.e. get rid of frizz for 48 hours. While a decent conditioner in its own right, it didn't do for me what I needed - I used it along with the shampoo and it most definitely did not get rid of the wispy/frizzy bits in my hair - they were still present as usual once my hair air dried. The product also doesn't go a very long way - my hair is just past my shoulders and not especially thick, but it felt like I had to use a quarter of the bottle to coat my hair properly. While my hair is nice and soft, it has a slightly oily feel the morning after using the conditioner. Usually my hair takes a good 3 days after a wash to feel oily, so this is not ideal. The bottle said the product is created for dry hair, so this could be why. My hair is definitely not dry and runs towards oily. All this said, maybe my hair is just not the type of hair this product is aimed at. My hair is, as I said, not dry, and straight-wavy. I tend to get little frizzy, wispy bits after washing normally, but nothing major - and the conditioner could not take care of this. Perhaps someone with worse frizz may have seen a difference?

This is amazing considering it's a supermarket product, feels so silky on your hair when you're using it & there are no tangles without combing it when rinsing it out. It smells so good & my hair feels pretty soft & not frizzy after using it, so I would recommend!

Been using this shampoo & conditioner for around a week and have found it to be so much better than i expected. It smells amazing so good! the packaging isn't anything special but then again its not an expensive product so can't expect much. I have super super dry hair, its very coarse and damaged from heat and bleaching it, after the first wash my hair felt so much softer and felt in better condition after a week overall my hair is in better condition than before i started using this product! 100 % recommend this product to anyone with dry damaged hair thats on a budget , i have tried every hair product under the sun and sometimes you can over $100 on something and it not work for you at all and its such a waste of money, however with this i feel confident in suggesting it to people as for the price its worth the money so go get the shampoo and conditioner girls you really do need both!! :)

The Conditioner was smooth and spread SO far in my thick locks! The smell was amazing, and it lingered reminding me of the product all day. Instantly using both Shampoo and conditioner my hair felt clean, and controlled. Although I blow-dried my hair, I wasn't comfortable straightening it without product, although I found my hair held its shape and as it packaging states it gave me 'smooth hair, without weighing it down'. Great product – would recommend!

I've saved this L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Smooth Intense review for last. I've used the shampoo and liked it, although my scalp wasn't so fond. I've used the serum and loved it. But I wanted to see how the condition reacted with my hair when used on its own (along with a different brand of anti-dandruff shampoo).

I washed my hair and applied as usual, (I like that it's a thick conditioner with little scent) smoothing it out from the mid-lengths to the ends. Whilst waiting I washed the little human's hair and then rinsed mine, it left it feeling smooth and tangle free. Once out of the shower I dried and combed the mop and then threw it up into a bun for a couple of hours while I did housework. After releasing my hair from the bun and letting the last bits dry off I looked in the mirror and ...........

There was next to no frizz! My hair was smooth! I was amazed. I didn't think a conditioner could do that. L'Oreal has proven me wrong.

I really do like this range. It's pretty to look at, it's a decent price and most importantly, it does what it says it will do. I'll definitely be purchasing the serum and conditioner again.

Will definitely purchase this again. Smooth, glossy, conditioned hair that stayed that way. Love the consistency of the conditioner, the smell and even the colour reminds me of argan oil which I am a fan of.

Frizzy hair, check...long thick/wavy hair, check...needing a ghd straightening check...so what about heat protection? This condition claims to give intense nutrition to dry hair, tame frizzy hair with the use of argan oil also giving 48 hour thermo-protecting agents protecting the hair from heat of styling/blowdrying tools. And for me, it did that. I would even use this without my hair wet and just put the conditioner through then blow dry my hair and voila, my straight hair lasted at least 2 days before the wave/frizz started to set in - with a conditioner that smells fabulous even after you've blow dried it, I can't complain.

Super unimpressed with this conditioner. I've used it all week in combination with the shampoo but it is definitely lacks, although the shampoo wasn't great either. Anyway, with this conditioner I had to use almost an entire palm full for it to put any product into my medium length hair, and even then it did not feel nourished or creamy in my hair at all. I will keep using it throughout the duration it lasts, which I don't think will be very long since after a week its nearly all gone from needing to use so much product during every wash.

Love this conditioner. My new fave range. My hair felt soft, smooth and silky and smelt soooo good! There was also visably less frizz in my hair. This is definetly my new shampoo and conditioner range im goin to be using from now on!

It made my hair really smooth and super soft. I found that it didn't keep my hair quite as moisturised as a conditioning mask would (which I am used to) as it dried out a little when the day became more humid and rained but it definitely did what it is supposed to do! The product also smells great!
