L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Arginine Resist Conditioner Review

My hair is very damaged from colouring and also heat damage, I also have a lot of hair falling out (not too much of a biggy as I have a lot of hair) so I was very keen to try this product out. The package is eye catching being pink and black and is good value for the money. Unfortunately this product was not the best for my hair type, the conditioner did not seem to moisturise my hair enough the ends looked dry and lifeless after conditioning. The plus side is I could last 3-4 days without washing my hair and it still didn't look oily, but I did need to use other products like a hair mask and then a leave in oil to stop it looking so dry. I will not be buying this product again as it did not give my hair enough moisture, it ended up looked dull and lifeless.

Lovely thick creamy texture and not over powering scent. This condition pairs perfectly with the Arginine resist anti hair fall shampoo. I truly did notice a big change in the amount of hair that fell out. It left my hair feeling strong, shiny and really healthy. I'd definitely recommend it to all those that shed a lot of hair, like me!

The packaging looked very nice & sleek in the black & pink. I liked the fact that the bottles are oval shaped and not round, saving space on my small shower shelf!

Using the conditioner I was quite annoyed that there wasn’t any directions on the back! Where should I be concentrating the product, towards the scalp or the ends? For best results do I rinse it out straight away or leave it in for a few minutes? How often should I be conditioning my hair? Thought it was very strange for a conditioner not to have anything like this on the back of the packaging!

I ended up using the conditioner all over my hair leaving it in for a few minutes before rinsing. After a few washes I found that my hair was left feeling very dry on the ends and was tempted to go back to my other conditioner, which I didn’t for the sake of the trial. I didn’t find any difference with hair fall, I’m still moulting all over the place!

I hate wastage but I think I will be going back to using my other conditioner, can’t stand looking at my poor dry ends any longer.

This was a product that I was very curious to try, as hair breakage is definitely an issue for me. I have very fine hair that is badly damaged from colouring and frequent heat styling. I was pretty sceptical about its effectiveness though as I feel like the damage is already irreversibly done.

I loved the black and pink colour scheme on the bottles, even though this is not a deal breaker. The product's scent is a really great fresh floral smell that I really liked. I didn't find the fragrance lingered on my hair for long after using it though like some products though.

I felt like this conditioner was just right for me. I have found that a lot of products for damaged hair can sometimes be a little too heavy for my fine hair and can leave it looking lank and almost dirty again straight away. This was just the right amount of moisture for me without weighing down my hair.

Whether or not this reduced hair fall for me was a hard thing to try to measure and monitor, so I admit to not being able to make the call as to whether it worked or not. Either way, I still found that it was a great every day product for me and I would buy it again.

I used this in conjunction with the shampoo so I cannot say results would be the same if you just used the conditioner.

I have found less hair breakage with this product; I still shed some hair but I think it has reduced somewhat. This product didn't make my hair any shinier or softer and I had to use quite a bit to make my hair feel somewhat nice. I did use another better conditioner after conditioning with this product as I found my hair to be quite dry when just using this shampoo and conditioner (I would say my hair has gotten used to my other shampoo/conditioner). The scent isn't anything special nor is the packaging.

But overall I would probably use again (if it were on special) and in conjunction with the shampoo as I do think my hair breakage has reduced slightly.

I have been using this conditioner in conjunction with the matching shampoo for the past few weeks now. This conditioner has a nice scent and is a good predictable conditioner type consistency. using this range has dramatically reduced the amount of hair fall I have been experiencing due to a huge amount of weight loss. I only use conditioner on my ends because I have quite an oily scalp and conditioning it only makes it more oily. I have quite long hair (it's at least halfway down my back) and this conditioner has it in beautiful condition. My hair has been really soft and shiny since using this conditioner. Needless to say I will be continuing to use this range for the foreseeable future as I have had amazing results from it.

Smells great, made it easy to comb my hair after wash. you don't notice a difference strait away but after time it reduced my hair loss. will defiantly be buying this product again, wish it had a valve to sop the product going into the cap after use.

I have been using this shampoo and conditioner for 15 days straight now. I like the consistency of them, although I'm not so keen on the scent, I found it over powering. I found that they left my hair fresh and shiny but after 15 days I have developed dandruff which I don't get from my regular shampoo/conditioner combo. My hair fall hasn't significantly decreased either. I think the value for money is good however, as the same bottles have lasted that whole time without the need to purchase more.

The amount of hair falling out I have had over the last few months has been worrying me, after using ELVIVE just twice I noticed a dramatic reduction in the amount of hair I had falling out, and even snapping off. It leaves my hair nourished, shiny and silky without weighing it down. With continued use hair fall isn't a problem anymore, even just using the conditioner with a different brand of shampoo. I really recommend trying this conditioner if you are concerned about hair fall, and even if you're not it leaves your hair in great condition.

Similarly to the shampoo, I am unsure if this product actually causes less hair loss as it's such a hard thing to measure. In saying that, I plan to continue using this product after the first bottle is used, as it's such a beautifully scented rich and nourishing conditioner. It doesn't weigh my fine hair down either. What a great find, and so inexpensive compared to salon products that I've used (and it's just as good in my opinion). I asked my hairdresser once 'if you were so broke you couldn't buy salon products, what supermarket shampoo and conditioner would you buy?', and she immediately said 'the L'oreal ones'.
