L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Arginine Resist Conditioner Review

Firstly: I have long brunette hair, it's fairly thin but I have lots off it. I lose a LOT of hair in the shower, and try to avoid brushing with a brush, using a wide toothed comb to minimise the amount of hair I lose. Nevertheless, I shed all over the house. So to try a product that claims to reduce hair fall is a dream come true. I was previously using Mane and Tail.

This product is absolutely AMAZING. I noticed a difference from the very first wash! Normally I would have a golfball sized clump of hair, and from the first wash I had at least half less fall out. I've now used it for two weeks and in my shower today I only lost 5 hairs. FIVE!

The shampoo was cleansing but not overly soapy, the conditioner was nourishing. My hair is softer and now tangle free, and I've had lots of compliments on it. Normally I like to buy hair products in massive products and initially I wasn't sure I would rebuy due to the size, but I've since found out they sell this in a large pump bottle - PERFECT!

I will definitely be rebuying this Loreal Elvive Arginine Resist product again!

As I said in my review for the Shampoo I was very keen to try this as I did not know of a product like this and had a problem will hair falling out and blocking up shower drains etc. so put my hand up for this trial right away. I found it not perfect but still pretty good. It didn't put a stop to the hair falling out problem but I did see a significant difference which was nice. I just think a bit more continuous use of the product and you would see even better results so some paitence and perseverance are key but overall I am happy with what I got to see in this trial period so 8/10. The conditioner had a nice fragrance and my hair came out feeling nice and soft and great!

Oh goodness, I did not like this stuff at all! The only positive is the packaging. Like the shampoo, the colour scheme is eyecatching & sleek. That is wear the positivity in this review ends for me. Lets start with the smell. Oh dear god, the smell. It is vile. It made me want to be sick. It has a strong chemical smell, mixed with I don't even know what, but it is awful. I powered through the smell to see if the products end results were worth it. They were not. The consistency is extremely thick. Too thick - as opposed to the shampoo that was too thin. I like a thick conditioner, as in my experience, it seems to give an all around better result, but this was so thick, & it didn't seem to make the product any better. It didn't condition my hair in any sense of the word. My hair was not soft. Not smooth. Not conditioned! It was dry, it was prone to knotting (which is insane, as I have a pixie cut so my hair never knots!) & I noticed that my hair actually seemed to get almost greasy the next day, causing me to need to wash it every day - which I have never had to do in my life! If I washed it in the morning, by night it was oily and awful to touch, & if I washed it at night, by morning I had the same results. As mentioned in my shampoo review, I had a really bad allergic reaction to this duo, & I will not be using the remainder of the bottles. I absolutely hated this product.

I found this to be a nice conditioner not to heavy but leaves the hair feeling soft enough and doesnt weigh it down, i also found that it doesnt have that greasy silicon feel that some supermarkets products can have. Over all itd be my most recomended when it comes to off the shelf products, Left my hair soft without the greasy heavy feel

I really was pleasantly surprised with this trial. My scalp is ususally pretty sensitive to shampoos but I've been using this for 2 weeks now and have not had a single itch! Very impressed just on that. After the first week, I was getting minimal hair fall so hubby happy with that, no more grizzly bears to be cleaned out of the shower (hehe). My hair feels fantastic, lovely and soft. I straighten my hair most days and I've even found that the frizz level is pretty minimal too... yay! I used this with the matching shampoo, also a great product and at $8.99 I think is a reasonable price for a supermarket product. All in all a great product, I will definitely be looking out for this on my next shopping trip.

This conditioner is great and ideal for those suffering from hair fall, hair loss or weak dry hair. I feel it really does prevent hair fall as I personally experienced less hair fall and breakage while using this product as well as a general improvement in the overall condition of my hair. I have been using this conditioner with the shampoo for two weeks now and am really happy with the results I am seeing. My hair is now longer and stronger which is a great bonus as I am trying to grow my hair and the conditoner has a really nice scent to it as well. This product is affortable and avalible at most supermarkets, will definitely purchase again.

Yes, this really worked for me, I'm so pleased. I trialled it in conjunction with the Arginine Resist Shampoo and I like it. The conditioner is moderately thick and has a very light scent. It's easy to distribute through to the ends of the hair and left my hair feeling soft, smooth and somehow stronger. After a week of using this and the shampoo, I noticed much less hair falling into my hand-basin after my daily styling routine of brushing, combing and straightening. My ends,which were dry and snapping off in short pieces, became a little softer and smoother in appearance and I didn't notice short pieces of broken hair falling down anymore! Gotta love the black and pink bottles as well.

As with the Elvive Arginine Shampoo the conditoner also states that hair fall will be reduced by 64% after the first use. It took more than one use for that to be half true. However, continuous use will strengthen yor hair and will reduce hair fall, which is amazing if you already have fine hair and the amount of hair fall you were witnessing causes you to have panic attacks.

As with the shampoo, I was lucky enough to be on a trial team for this conditioner.

The packaging is cute, I love the colour combination and I especially like the fact that the conditioner bottle is 'upside down' as opposed to the shampoo bottle. Makes it so much easier deciphering between the two mid-shower and I also like how it forces all the conditioner to the end closest to the lid.

The consistency of this conditioner is nice and creamy, not too thin and watery but not too thick and heavy feeling. I find that it leaves my hair nice and soft which combats the slightly drying effect the shampoo in this range causes. The smell is also delicious like the shampoo.

Overall as for the shampoo, I didn't notice amazing results (I'm not sure the conditioner can do much for hair fall at the roots as I never apply to the roots) and will only repurchase on sale (mainly because I love the smell!).

As a conditioner this product is really effective. It smells gorgeous, and the soft creamy white texture absorbs really well into the hair shaft and scalp when massaged in. Only a small amount needed to soften a full head of shoulder length hair and to be honest, more so than the shampoo, I noticed that his had some effect at building my hair volume. With regard to the hair loss- not a huge difference was evident. Would i still use it? yes, for the conditioning and volumizing effect, I would.
